a/n: i finally posted the first chapter, well i decided to cut it in half so it won't be too long. im still not finished writing the other half but im working on it already. enjoy this first!

[500 YEARS FROM THE CURRENT PRESENT]

LIYUE, THE LAND OF GEO ARCHON

SPRING, BLOOMING FLOWER

It was the season of blooming cherry pink blossoms when he first acknowledged your existence. The fluttering petals fall around you as he takes in your sight in the field of glaze lily. He swore it was not love at first sight— but is it not? really?

It was a normal day for him to descend upon his land and teach his people worldly things to do to survive and enhance. Years have already been gone since he has been the geo archon.

Rex Lapis fulfilled his duty gracefully as he guided his land and people. Giving them his blessings as he watched from above.

He was taking a little trail near the fields of flowers in guili plains. His foot stopped as he heard a humming voice. He would have ignored it and continued on his journey if not for you humming the all too well familiar sweet lullaby on the glaze lilies as they bloom slowly hearing your sweet tune to them.

He stopped in his tracks as he let himself get drowned on the lullaby you are humming. In a spit of seconds, it brought back a bittersweet memory of his late friend who also did the same— hum a sweet lullaby for the glaze lilies to fully bloom.

He watched you as you crouched down in front of the flower while the sweet flush pink blossoms continues to fall all around you, the hues of the sun setting down illuminated your form making you ethereal in him.

'It was perfect, It was magical', he remembered he thought that.

Your humming came to an end as you brushed your fingers on the petals of glaze lilies. 'Beautiful', you thought as it was your first time seeing the blue flower. Your eyes were filled with excitement and stars as you watched the fully bloomed glaze lily.

"Pardon me for my intrusion, but may i ask something?"

Unknown to you, the Geo Archon was slowly approaching you— approaching you with the question he have been meaning to ask.

The sudden deep voice behind you surprised you as you looked at the owner of the voice. You found a tall man hovering over your crouched form. You examined his appearance as you stood up. He had a hood over him, a gradient of brown and orange hair. The orange tips of his hair glows like his amber yellowed pupils eyes. You find it mesmerizing. . .for a beauty like him to stumble upon your mere existence.

However, when you looked at his arms that's behind him, you furrowed your eyebrows as his skin is a combination of black and gold. You find it odd for someone to have skin like.

'Weird, does he have a disease or something? Or is he someone special or whatever?', You shake the thought off and cleared your throat.

"Yes? Do i owe you something, mister? If my memory serves me right, this is our first meeting? yes?"

"Yes, indeed, this is our first time seeing each other. There's just a question that has been messing with me when i heard your sweet humming voice," The unexpected compliment at the end caught you off guard, you coughed once again as you can feel your cheeks heating up, for the reason you're not used to be complimented.

"May i know where did you hear the lullaby that you just hummed to the glaze lilies?"

"Oh, you're asking about the lullaby i just hummed? Well, I heard it from my parents and grand elders who also said that our ancestors also heard it somewhere." you chuckled at the origin of the lullaby.

"Is that so?" he sighed as he nodded.

"In spite of that, i came here in liyue- specifically Guili Plains, to see the infamous glaze lily. My ancestors actually once lived here, and based from what i heard, this is also the place where they will hear the sweet lullaby of a goddess as she sings to the glaze lilies." You smiled as you glanced at the fully bloomed flower around you, then turn back to look at the gentleman infront of you who let out a 'hmm'.

"Regardless, your journey here shows that you are not from Liyue? No?" He asked as he stared at the horizon behind you, where the sun completely left his sight, leaving a rays of sunlight emblazing the scenery before him, you.

"Mhm, you got it right! I'm not actually from Liyue. I came from. . .another nation!"

"What brings a lady like you here? In Liyue?" Rex Lapis finally settled his eyes on you, his gaze seemingly full of elegance, softness. . .and sadness?

"Well, i just— i just feel like Liyue will be a beautiful place to start with— and it proves me right." You glanced back at him as the flowy cherry blossoms went fall, fall, and fall all around him.

'A beautiful sight, indeed.' You sighed as you took in the beauty of the man who stood tall before you, the moonlight shone over him. You thought what is it special in him that you find captivating that it made you lost in him.

'Perhaps it's the appearance? His unique arms?' You don't know.

"Oh! I have to go now, mister! It seems that the moon already gave me a hint that it's my cue to leave, i still have to look for a place to stay." You hoped to converse more with the gentleman, but you don't want to sleep outside shivering in the cold that winter left for the lovers that will bloom in spring, don't you?

"How disappointing, i wish to know more about the voyage you've went through. I guess we need to part ways now." He nodded as he got lost into deep thoughts and 'hmmed'.

"It saddens me to split ways here. I really have to leave now.

Farewell, mister gold!"

You gave him quick smile for the nickname then walk away— never forgetting to take the glaze lily with you.

Rex Lapis find it peculiar that a person just treated him like a normal person, that he just had a normal exchanging of words with a mortal. It looks like you don't know who is he, and he doesn't know whether to be glad or mad that you're talking to a god like him as if he's your close friend.

Generally, people would talk to him with so much honor and devotion. For a moment it made him forget who he is, what is he.

'No.'

'I shouldn't- i can't be thinking like this. I have people and a nation to protect. I have an oath and rules to obey. A mere human is a distraction to us gods.'

He let out a sigh, he thought that someone could finally treat him like how normal human treat each other— but no, because he reminded himself he’s a god.

Morax listened as he sat on his seat. The Archon War had just finished a while ago. Although he wants to mourn and grief for the loss of his friend, Guizhong— he couldn't do it as he have to be part of The Seven Archons.

"...and lastly, being part of a love affair with a mortal human is an illicit act that Celestia will go against and will never allow. For ye a God who will rule and focus on your lands, not to love a mere human who won't and can't be superior to you." The God who rules over Celestia looked at each of them with its fierce gaze to remind them that this act is the most forbidden one.

Morax repeated the last rule and it made him dive into deep thoughts.

'Why is loving another considered an illicit act as a God? Is it because this affair can serve as a distraction to our duties?'

'Nevertheless, I do not wish to be involved in such affairs, for it is a mortal thing, it's not for us gods.

"Do you all understand the rules you must follow? If you agree and obey those rules, you can go out now and start building your lands. However, if you do not wish to follow these rules, you can give up your seats for the reason being Celestia does not tolerate disobedience."

The Seven didn't dare to say anything as they quietly agreed on the rules. They all got up as everyone exited the room and descended on their territories.

Morax said those words as if he will never experience love, oh how wrong he is to take and assume things easily. He is not and will never be an exception to love.

When love attracts you, it will strike you like a thunder, and there is no way you can avoid it, you just have to accept it coming.

And that's what he did, he accepted it coming as he realized he fell in love with you, his first and greatest love.
