Recently, after seeing the new trailers for Terminator Zero and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, which both looked amazing with outstanding heroine characters Eiko and Hera, respectively, I couldn’t help myself just thinking of a crossover yuri ship that I thought would be good.
Eiko x Hera

Made several edits of the two heroines together if they were to meet in an alternate universe (per say if Eiko found herself in Middle-Earth instead or something like that) and how their chemistry would play out, let alone romantically.

Then again, I couldn’t help myself come up with this ship because both characters are incredible (and I with all do respect do appreciate the possible Hera x Wulf pairing for the War of the Rohirrim movie coming up), as well as the Terminator anime series this August and the Lord of the Rings anime movie this December.

Regardless, I believe they’re both amazing heroines. Might make a good crossover pairing as well.
Update: Just watched the whole season of Terminator Zero and it was marvellous. Looking forward to The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim this holiday season!

Look, I agree there's a handful of distracting scenes in Zero where they totally fudge the physical stats of the Terminator in order to make it seem remotely possible for a puny human meatbag to survive a hand to hand fight with it because otherwise it would be a really short and depressing series, but also let's be real here if said puny human meatbag wasn't a woman there would be nobody making these kinds of complaints. Much less this consistently.

If Misaki and Eiko are gonna be a thing then Misaki’s tongue game will be unreal since she might have a vibrate mode.

Incredible finale. I honestly haven’t this locked in to a show like in terms of binging in a very long time, took me back to early Covid days. Without a doubt the best piece of terminator media we’ve had since T2, it’s well clear of salvation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first few episodes really had me thinking it was just T2 and T1 mashed together, but the Japanese version. Malcolm looks just like the dude that Arnold and Sarah are trying to protect in T2, resistance fighter from the future etc etc. But I like how we ended up focusing on the philosophical aspect of man and machine, rather than the usual save the world stuff, we get asked if the world is even worth saving.
Ngl when Kokoro was asking Malcolm all that stuff about what humanity has actually given the world instead of just taken from it, I couldn’t come up with an answer either. Some really interesting ideological questions were posed for sure.
So many twists in this last episode I had my jaw on the floor. Malcolm coming from the future was a wtf, Misaki I had a feeling was a robot anyway from the first episode, so that wasn’t too much of a shock but what was shocking was her relationship with Malcolm in the OG timeline and how she was the basis for Kokoro. She was best girl tho and I’d absolutely take out my own unit to protect her.
Eiko being Malcolm’s mother tho wtf?? Kenta brokering a peace deal between skynet and sending the terminator back was probably the biggest shock for me. But it does line up with his character throughout the show who was always skeptical of Misaki and the machines.. just a lot of WTF twists and multiple timelines, I really hope they do more with terminator in this universe because there’s a lot of cool possibilities. We also don’t know what Kokoro will get up to now!
Hate that Malcolm had to go out like that, but i guess it was necessary to give Kokoro the right answer in the end.. just really enjoyed this one, well done production IG.

LALANN MEREINO
Since the pre-Imperial era, "Witch" was the title given to those who possessed immense skill in the thaumatic arts- skill enough, according to some, that their powers approached the realm of the gods. Witches were feared, respected, but above all, coveted for their abilities, and it was only through banding together to present the united front of the Great Coven that they were able to maintain a level of independence as the Empire rose to power. After the Saint-Heretic felled the Capital and the vast Empire collapsed into the chaos of the Dissolution era, some Witches entered the service of warlords, and others sought to carve out their own domains. When the Regulators set out on their mission to bring order to the world gone mad, they marked all known Witches as Irregulars- existences disruptive to the order of the world, and targets for termination.
Lalann Mereino was reclusive, even for a witch, and little was known about her other than her role in transforming a relatively unknown order of knights into the Deathless Legion. Even the Legion's own members had barely any information on her- supposedly she introduced herself to the order's grandmaster after he had made several clandestine inquiries into methods of surpassing death, demonstrated her abilities, carried out the ritual, and vanished after ensuring that the transition had gone smoothly. It's no surprise, then, that she was one of the few Witches not confirmed killed, or even sighted at all, during the course of the Great Hunt.
EIKOS THE DESERTER
Contrary to their name, the Deathless Legion were not truly immortal. They were just extremely difficult to kill, and took care to keep their combat skills sharp instead of relying too heavily on their ability to shrug off what would have been mortal blows to other fighters. Still, they were by far one of the strongest military groups in the Dissolution era, and it was inevitable that the Regulators would have marked them for termination.
After several probing skirmishes, the Regulators were able to force the Legion into a decisive battle- one that resulted in the total annihilation of the Legion. Total, that is, save for a single member who had fled the Legion less than a day before, having decided there was no possibility of victory. Even after the Regulators fell to infighting and tore each other apart, Eikos remained distant from society, watching over the remote battlefield that still was littered with the remains of his fallen comrades. It was there that he once more met Lalann, who had come out of hiding now that the Regulators were no more. After this reunion, he began to accompany her on her wanderings, a loyal protector never far from her side. The Witch welcomed the company, glad for a conversation partner after an age of solitude- though the knight rarely spoke, and usually offered only his quiet understanding.

Since against all the odds Terminator Zero season 2 might actually be happening, can I just say if they actually canonize trans lesbian terminator it'd be great for a number or reasons, not the least of which being the phrase "trans lesbian terminator" is extremely fun to say.
