Note: Please take it with a grain of salt and enjoy !
EJ
love: I believe that he is seeing someone and probably dating them even. this seems to be someone that works inside the industry but they probably aren't an idol. This relationship is rather new but they have known each other for so long that it feels longer than that
career: everything on EJ career life is indicating a long and successful career which is super positive. i think that even after the group grows and even after years he will keep in the industry if he has the wishes for it. he can become more successful than now if he bets on the right places
self: overall his energy is good and bright. i believe that Ej is someone happy that lives his life accordingly and does not dwell on the bad stuff that happens. he is just overall okay and really happy at the moment
Fuma
love: I believe that he too is seeing someone/dating someone but things aren't going well because Fuma is someone extremely jealous and he has been quite moody lately. i believe that he hates to see his partner with other people and his schedule also doesn't help him in that matter. he might get paranoiac sometimes when it comes to the fidelity of his partner
career: I can see here some issues concerning money that involves Fuma and probably his sponsor. This is probably minor and they are working through it. however i believe that he needs to be careful on how he spends and allow his sponsor to take care of this before it puts the company into the middle
self: other than that he is fairly well. physically and mentally he is holding on strong and he is currently stable compared to a more older energy i can still sense.
K
love: It does seem like K too is dating at the moment and they are also someone who works in the company. Although I can't really pinpoint who they are, it does seem like they are an idol or at least they work very closely with one. This relationship has been going on for some time now and it seems to be string and ehealth so far
career: career wise things are more complicated. K doesn't have the best relationship with his members or with the company which often can bring issues and conflicts internally. he does try his best but he hates the fact that the company wants to paint a image of him that is the opposite of his true personality
self: i sense that what has been giving him a lot of anxiety lately is the conflict with the members and sometimes even the staff. K has a hard time mamagin things that are said and done and he is way too much pride to forgive or/and to ask forgiveness as well
Nicholas
love: i dont think he is in a relationship but he is definitely in love with someone close to him 8this fels like anormal person, perhaps a close friend of his). they have some type of close relationship and he has been trying to push through it but the other person doesn't seem to be receptive to his advances
career: Nicholas has some serious issues with either the ceo of the company, either the sponsor (i cant really tell who is which). there’s some things here that cannot be spoken of and in which i also cant have clearty, but hopefully they will fix their issues
self: He is super close to his female manager (planotic relaitonhsip) and he leans on them a lot when it comes to have strength and have advices on how to deal with all the pressure and the work that is associated to be an idol
Yuma
love: he is single and definitely not ready to be in a relationship since his health doesn’t allow him. Yuma feels very fragile when it comes to love and he probably doesn't want his mind and his heart to be focused on something that isn't bringing him stability
career: he has a few choices to make at the moment. there’s some opportunities that both his sponsor and his company gave him and he needs to choose which one he prefers. Yuma also has been trying to find in each group inside the group he wants to be associated with since he is a members that is okay with everyone
self: his mental health isn't the best. Yuma has been through a lot in the past few years and it has been accumulating for quite a while now. although he tries his best, it's clear that he is very sensitive over the smallest things
Jo
love: This boy is also in a relationship for quite a while now and this isn't someone that works in the industry. Their relationship is probably long dated and they have been together even during the trainee period. everything seem to be going well between them tho
career: career wise, its complicated because Jo is the type of person that is too young to be managing so much money and he doesn't have anyone to do it for him. so he can be the type to be overspeaning and not thinking about his stability which could be an issue. also i feel that he isn't being treated as well as other members
self: there’s definitely some issues with other memes here (maybe K?). can’t really tell other that there’s a lot of frustration in him that can often show through psychosomatic symptoms
Harua
love: Harua is also dating someone from the same company as him. although this isn't an idol its probably someone who works close with him and in an everyday life type of thing. despite that, their relationship seem to be doing well because they have started it through a strong friendship foundation
career: the power his sponsor has over him isn't to be kidding with. He has a very rich sponsor behind and Harua will be using the fruits to become more influential with time. for now, they cant advance too quickly, but keep an eye on him for the nxt years to come
self: i do feel however, that Harua struggles a lot with his mental health. there’s a lot of unsolved issues in his mind and heart that require medical assistance. although i believe that he is the type of person to refuse such help, maybe due to stereotypes
Taki
love: single and not interested in love at the moment. I think Taki had a little love disappointment when his crush isn't interested and until no he hasn’t been interested in anyone or anything
career: Taki is a super smart kid, like he knows exactly what he needs to do in order to have the favors of people older than him but also how to attract his fans to the good side. He uses that a lot in his career. although he might not seem genuine he does care a lot of his career overall
self: His health should be looked upon because something feels off here. his bones feel somehow fragile, his whole immune system might be struggling with something at the moment
Maki
love: equally single and not really interested in love, since Maki feels like being an idol is already overwhelming enough. adding love to that would be too much for him. because of that he keeps his heart closed
career: he doesn't have the best relationship with his members or with his sponsor in general. He tries a lot to please other people but often it comes out as rude to others. He isn't seen as someone with good intentions which is a little sad. but also it feels like Maki is in the industry for the money and not for the music
self: health wise he is okay, but his mind is full of choices and decisions that he has to make, yet he doesn't have the heart to. He is influenced by a lot of people. benign so young and not having enough experience makes Maki an easy target

Clarity Imaging International, Inc. Rolls Out Mobile DEXA Program 7. Slowed Brain-Activity in Frequent Mobile Phone Users 8. New report on mobile phone research.
27 Nov 2007
Smartcard security specialists Xiring and mobile phone operator SFR are working together to deploy the largest ‘Machine to Machine’ network in the French healthcare sector, allowing citizens to have their smartcards updated by pharmacists every time they are treated.
The remote updating service ‘Le Point Xiring’, is being rolled out to 12,000 pharmacies, at a rate of 600 per week, and is designed to work with the French Sesam-Vitale scheme - smartcards carried by citizens proving their membership of a health insurance system.
The companies announced that Gemalto would provide this capability by acting as the trusted service manager to bridge banking with mobile phones. Gemalto's role is to manage the transfer of credit card information from RBC to the secure SIM card in the Rogers Wireless NFC-enabled mobile phone. The second pathway, usually a phone, is used to transmit a passcode or pin code. Additionally, a user can generate a One Time Password on the spot via his or her mobile device, PDA or computer. The platform offers users 10 different authentication methods, and costs less than competitors’ products, says Waller. Improvements and fixes. This update includes a fix for an incorrect device driver (“Microsoft – WPD – 2/22/2016 12:00:00 AM - 5.2.5326.4762”) that was released by a third-party on March 8, 2017 that affected a small group of users with USB connected phones or other media devices that rely on Media Transfer Protocol (MTP).
Sesam-Vitale, in use since 1998, currently links more than 223,000 health care professionals with the health insurance system, benefitting millions of insured patients who have the Vitale card. More than 900m claim reimbursement forms per year and reimbursement of the insured patient takes up to five days as opposed to two or three weeks it would take otherwise.
A Xiring spokesperson said: “The benefits are important: improved productivity and faster reimbursements. The system is optimised when the information contained in the Vitale cards is up-to-date, reflecting the real situation of the insured person and avoiding the manual processing of errors.”
The Le Point Xiring service will use the SFR wireless 3G / GPRS network to communicate with remote servers, meaning pharmacists no longer have to use a traditional fixed phone line. Regarding performance, the updating process has improved from 45 seconds using regular telephone networks, to less than 20 seconds with the SFR mobile network.
Vitale cards will be updateable following treatment at any location with the readers, communicating in broadband wireless mode.
The spokesperson added: “It enables the patient to update his or her Vitale card on the spot. By changing from paper-based to e-claims, the insured individuals no longer need to submit claims to their local health insurance centre. Each year, one billion claim forms are managed electronically: it speeds up the reimbursement process and lowers the cost of producing medical claim forms.”
“We provide a complete service, combining ultra-fast processing and communication, easy installation and simple use. We chose to work with SFR Entreprises because, apart from the quality of their mobile network, they have really adapted to the constraints of the sector and to the specifics of our solution,” says Georges Liberman, Xiring’s CEO.
The device is certified by the GIE Sesam-Vitale (Groupement d’Intérêt Economique SESAM-Vitale (Economic Interest Group). This complete ‘ready-to-use’ service includes the platform, unlimited communications with the Sesam-Vitale network, a top level SLA, technical maintenance and remote administration service. It has been designed to fit in all pharmacy environments and to be easily used by the general public.
“The patient can update his or her Vitale card on the spot (pharmacies, hospital, laboratory, local healthcare centre, city hall). It also strengthens the relations between pharmacists and patients with no extra cost for the pharmacist,” said the Xiring spokesperson.

Under the Sesame Vitale scheme, when health professionals arrive at their workplace, they start their Sesame-Vitale equipment, insert their health professional card (called CPS) in the double-slot reader and key in their personal identification code. The card can be left in the reader all day.
For each insured patient, the health professional uses their Sesame-Vitale equipment to create an electronic claim form (called FSE). The electronic claim can only be validated after both the health professional card and the patient's Vitale card are inserted in the reader.

Via e-mail, the Health Insurance Center acknowledges receipt of successfully transferred claims (called positive ARL). In case of unsuccessful transfer, a failure notice (called negative ARL) is sent to the health professional.
In case of unsuccessful third party payer claim submission, a rejection notice (called NOEMIE and RSP) is sent to inform the Health Professional that he/she will not receive payment. For each negative receipt, the electronic claim must be resubmitted within two business days.
Xiring say that the addition of 12,000 pharmacies will mean that the company now has a 60% market share of the Vitale cards scheme in France, one which SFR are pleased to be involved with.
“We are glad to be associated with this ambitious project. This M-to-M solution enables secure data transfer for over 12,000 pharmacies, and puts SFR Entreprises in a leading position in the French healthcare sector for communicating devices,” adds Thierry Bergey, manager of the M-to-M business unit at SFR Entreprises.

What Republicans Are Against The Healthcare Bill

What Republicans Are Against The Healthcare Bill
Schumer: ‘we Can Work Together Our Country Demands It’
20 Republicans Vote Against GOP Healthcare Bill | MTP Daily | MSNBC
Until the end, passage on the Health Care Freedom Act, also dubbed the skinny repeal, was never certain. Even Republicans who voted for it disliked the bill.
The skinny bill as policy is a disaster. The skinny bill as a replacement for Obamacare is a fraud. The skinny bill is a vehicle to getting conference to find a replacement, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said at a Thursday evening news conference hours before the vote alongside fellow Republicans McCain, Ron Johnson and Bill Cassidy, before the details were released.
The skinny repeal was far from Republicans campaign promise of also rolling back Medicaid expansion, insurance subsidies, Obamacare taxes, and insurance regulations.
Many Republicans who did vote for it said they were holding their nose to vote for it just to advance the process into negotiations with the House of Representatives.
The legislation included a repeal of the individual mandate to purchase insurance, a repeal of the employer mandate to provide insurance, a one-year defunding of Planned Parenthood, a provision giving states more flexibility to opt out of insurance regulations, and a three-year repeal of the medical device tax. It also would have increased the amount that people can contribute to Health Savings Accounts.
Leigh Ann Caldwell is an NBC News correspondent.
Obamacare Repeal Fails: Three Gop Senators Rebel In 49
WASHINGTON Obamacare stays. For now.
Senate Republicans failed to pass a pared-down Obamacare repeal bill early Friday on a vote of 49-51 that saw three of their own dramatically break ranks.
Three Republican senators John McCain, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski and all Democrats voted against the bill, dealing a stinging defeat to Republicans and President Donald Trump who made repeal of Obamacare a cornerstone their campaigns.
The late-night debate capped the GOP’s months-long effort to fulfill a seven-year promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
3 Republicans and 48 Democrats let the American people down. As I said from the beginning, let ObamaCare implode, then deal. Watch!
Donald J. Trump
The Senate has tried to pass multiple versions of repeal: repeal and replace, a straight repeal and Friday’s bare-bones repeal, but none garnered the support of 50 Republicans.
An emotional Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said after the 1:40 a.m. vote went down that Republicans remained committed to repealing the Obama-era health law.
When Did Obamacare Start
The timeline of key events leading up to the passage of the Obamacare law began in 2009. Here is a list of those events, along with key provisions that went into place after the law was enacted.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and a group of Democrats from the House of Representatives reveal their plan for overhauling the health-care system. Its called H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act.
;Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy, a leading supporter of health-care reform, dies and puts the Senate Democrats 60-seat supermajority required to pass a piece of legislation at risk.
;Democrat Paul Kirk is appointed interim senator from Massachusetts, which temporarily restores the Democrats filibuster-proof 60th vote.
;In the House of Representatives, 219 Democrats and one Republican vote for the Affordable Health Care for America Act, and 39 Democrats and 176 Republicans vote against it.
In the Senate, 60 Democrats vote for the Senates version of the bill, called Americas Healthy Future Act, whose lead author is senator Max Baucus of California. Thirty-nine Republicans vote against the bill, and one Republican senator, Jim Bunning, does not vote.
Don’t Miss: Why Does Donald Trump Wear Red Ties
Changes Required By The Affordable Care Act In 2011
A provision goes into effect to protect patients choice of doctors. Specifics include allowing plan members to pick any participating primary care provider, prohibiting insurers from requiring prior authorization before a woman sees an obstetrician/gynecologist , and ensuring access to emergency care.
Young adults can stay on their parents insurance until age 26, even if they are not full-time students. This extension applies to all new plans.
All new health insurance policies must cover preventive care and pay a portion of all preventive care visits.
A provision goes into effect that eliminates lifetime limits on coverage for members.
Annual limits or maximum payouts by a health insurance company are now restricted by the ACA.
The ACA prohibits rescission when a claim is filed, except in the case of fraud or misrepresentation by the consumer.
Insurance companies must now provide a process for customers to make an appeal if there is a problem with their coverage. ;
NOTE: In January,;2011:;eHealth publishes 11 guides on the top;child-only health insurance coverage;that examined differences in implementation in numerous states.
Senate Gop Blocks 9/11 First Responders Health Plan Bill
Senate Republicans on Thursday morning filibustered legislation to monitor and treat first responders and emergency workers who suffered illnesses related to 9/11.
A vote to quash the filibuster failed by a vote of 57 to 42, three votes short of the necessary threshold. As a result, the proposal is unlikely to pass this year.
The bill would provide funding for a health program to treat first responders, construction and cleanup workers and residents who inhaled toxic particles after the collapse of the World Trade Center towers.
The $7.4 billion cost of the legislation over 10 years is paid for by a provision that would prevent foreign multinational corporations from using tax havens to avoid taxes on U.S. income.
Harry Mason ReidWhite House says ball is in Congress’s court on voting rights, abortionBiden grapples with twin crisesFive takeaways from Biden’s week of chaos in AfghanistanMORE blasted Republicans after the vote.

Yet they will stop at nothing to give tax breaks to millionaires and CEOs, even though they will explode our deficit and fail to create jobs. That tells you everything you need to know about their priorities, Reid said in a statement.
Schumer said some of the police officers and firefighters who rushed to the flaming towers have already been diagnosed with cancers.

Six Ways Trump Has Sabotaged The Affordable Care Act
Reddit
Donald Trumps first term represents an extraordinary development in what political scientists have called the administrative or unilateral presidency: how presidents seek to transform domestic policy through executive initiatives without congressional approval. Aggressive, partisan, multifaceted administrative presidencies have been especially evident since Reagan with presidents of both parties participating. Trump has in multiple ways taken this trend to new levels as his efforts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act vividly illustrate.
Republicans Tout Health Care Bill Alternative
“I’ve read the majority of this bill,” said Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., a physician. “I’ve got a diagnosis: It’s legislative malpractice.”
Price motioned to a tall stack of white copy paper bound with a yellow rope piled atop the podium and above the blue sign that read “Health Care Freedom” — the theme of the Republicans’ message today.
Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., told the crowd, “Republicans have better ideas to give you more choices, more freedom in health care, access for everybody. We’re going to fight for those ideas.”
Amid cheers, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., said, “We have an alternative: H.R. 3400.”
Republicans were joined by other notable public figures, including actor Jon Voight and radio host Mark Levin.
“I’m so deeply proud to be among you brave, concerned, patriotic American citizens,” Voight said. “The biggest vote in the U.S., the biggest voice in the U.S. is your voice, the voice of the American people.”
Among the faces in the crowd were young people who took off work, parents with their teenage children and senior citizens.
Schwartz of Americans for Prosperity described today’s rally as “very organic.” Seven buses carrying 350 people traveled to Washington, D.C., from parts of Maryland. Hundreds more, he said, carpooled behind.
“We want reform, but not the heap of junk that’s in this bill,” Schwartz said.
He expects that message will resonate with moderates and Blue Dog conservative Democrats who might still be on the fence about support for the House plan.

The Trump administrations efforts to sabotage the ACA and their consequences receive detailed attention in a recently released Brookings book, Trump, the Administrative Presidency, and Federalism. For present purposes, I highlight six major sabotage initiatives which emerged in the wake of congressional failure to repeal and replace the ACA.
1. Reduce outreach and opportunities for enrollment in the ACAs insurance exchanges. Established to offer health insurance to individuals and small business, the exchanges have provided coverage to some 10 million people annually. The Obama administration had vigorously promoted the ACA in part to attract healthy, younger people to the exchanges to help keep premiums down. The Trump administration sharply reduced support for advertising and exchange navigators while reducing the annual enrollment period to about half the number of days.
2. Cut ACA subsidies to insurance companies offering coverage on the exchanges. ACA proponents saw insurance company participation on the exchanges as central to fostering enrollee choice and to fueling competition that would lower premiums. The law therefore provided various subsidies to insurance companies to reduce their risks of losing money if they participated on the exchanges. The Trump administration joined congressional Republicans in reneging on these financial commitments.
Treating The Terminally Ill
GOP Senators Return Home To Backlash Against Healthcare Bill | AM Joy | MSNBC
The party opposes euthanasia and assisted suicide, as well as any non-consensual withholding of treatment for any reason. They believe that health care efforts should instead be focused on research to treat terminally ill patients, as well as pain relief and care of these patients, so that the rest of their lives are more comfortable.

House Democrats Approve Health Bill Seeking Contrast With Trumps Obamacare Assault
The vote was aimed at shoring up Democratic support in swing districts that fueled the party’s House takeover in 2018.
06/29/2020 06:50 PM EDT
Link Copied
House Democrats on Monday approved a major expansion of Obamacare, underscoring the health care laws central role in their campaign pitch and drawing sharp contrast with President Donald Trumps efforts to eliminate the entire law.
Two Republicans New Jersey’s Jeff Van Drew, formerly a Democrat, and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania joined virtually every Democrat in supporting the bill, which would expand the laws subsidies for private health insurance, encourage hold-out red states to expand Medicaid and reverse Trump administration policies seen as undermining the Affordable Care Act. The Democrats bill, which will likely be shunned by the Republican-controlled Senate, also contains pieces of the partys, including a requirement for the government to negotiate prices.
Progressive lawmakers who have pushed sweeping Medicare for All legislation largely backed the more moderate health bill, which is aimed at shoring up Democrats support in swing districts that were pivotal to the party retaking control of the House in the 2018 midterms. The vote comes shortly after Trumps Justice Department urged the Supreme Court to overturn Obamacare in a case later this fall, despite warnings from some Republicans that voters would punish the party in November.
Just one Democrat voted against the bill.

Endangered Republicans Back Senate Democrats’ Bill Opposing Obamacare Lawsuit
Five Republicans facing tough reelections crossed party lines in a vote highlighting Trump’s challenge to the health care law.
10/01/2020 03:17 PM EDT
Link Copied
Senate Democrats’ largely symbolic bid to cut off the Trump administration’s support for a Supreme Court challenge to Obamacare failed as expected Thursday, but several Republicans facing tough reelections crossed party lines to back the measure.
Sens. Martha McSally of Arizona, Susan Collins of Maine, Cory Gardner of Colorado, Joni Ernst of Iowa and Dan Sullivan of Alaska, who are trying to reassure voters about their defense of insurance protections for preexisting conditions, backed the Democrats’ measure. Another Republican, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who opposed Obamacare repeal efforts three years ago, also supported the bill.
But the bill fell 51-43, short of the 60 votes needed to advance.
Democrats through an unusual procedural maneuver seized control of the Senate agenda to force a challenging vote for Republicans ahead of a Supreme Court case that threatens Obamacare’s survival. Democrats have sought to highlight the case’s risk to health care coverage and insurance protections for tens of millions of Americans as Republicans rush to fill a vacant Supreme Court seat with President Donald Trump’s nominee, Amy Coney Barrett. The court is slated to hear arguments in the lawsuit on Nov. 10, one week after Election Day.
The North Carolina Democratic Party charged that Tillis’ measure was inadequate.

Reagan Assaults The System
Conservative Republican President Ronald Reagan, soon after his election in 1981, launched an assault on the federal health care system, announcing plans to consolidate all 26 of the health services programs into two block grants, one for health services, the other for preventive health. He also announced plans to slash spending on health by 25 percent. The president’s announcement set off a battle in Congress, with conservatives in both parties taking up Reagan’s charge. In the Senate, Orrin Hatch, a conservative Republican from Utah, and Phil Gramm, a Texas Republican, led the president’s battle to disassemble the federal health care programs. In the House, Republican Representatives Edward R. Madigan of Illinois, James T. Broyhill of North Carolina, and William E. Dannemeyer of California played key leadership roles for the Reagan agenda.
With a few concessions to Democrats, conservative Republicans, backed by many conservative Democrats and moderate Republicans, passed the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981. It reduced funding for all health services programs, collapsed funding for many categorical grant programs into block grants to states, and increased local and state governance over remaining programs. The concessions to congressional Democrats came only after last-minute lobbying by a group of Republican governors.
Premium Subsidies And Affordability
The ACA’s premium subsidies were designed to keep health insurance affordable for people who buy their own coverage in the individual market. Premiums for individual market plans increased alarmingly in 2017 and 2018, although they were much more stable in 2019 and 2020, and rate changes for 2021 appear to be mostly modest. But premiums for people who aren’t eligible for premium subsidies can still amount to a substantial portion of their income.
The individual market is a very small segment of the population, however, and rate increases have been much more muted across the full population .
Democrats have proposed various strategies for making coverage and care affordable. Joe Biden’s healthcare proposal includes larger premium subsidies that would be based on the cost of a benchmark gold plan and based on having people pay only 8.5% of their income for that plan . Biden’s proposal would also eliminate the ACA’s income cap for premium subsidy eligibility and provide subsidies to anyone who would otherwise have to pay more than 8.5% of their income for a benchmark gold plan. This would eliminate the “subsidy cliff” that currently exists for some enrollees.
The 2020 Democratic Party platform calls for a “public option” health plan that would compete with private health insurance carriers in an effort to bring down prices, and lowering the eligibility age for Medicare from 65 to 60.

Trump Tells Republicans To Get Back On Healthcare Bill
By Susan Cornwell
5 Min Read
WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump and members of his administration on Sunday goaded Republican senators to stick with trying to pass a healthcare bill, after the lawmakers failed spectacularly last week to muster the votes to end Obamacare.
For the second day running, the Republican president tweeted his impatience with Congress inability to deliver on his partys seven-year promise to replace the Affordable Care Act, President Barack Obamas signature healthcare bill commonly known as Obamacare. Members of his administration took to the airwaves to try to compel lawmakers to take action.
But it was unclear whether the White House admonishments would have any impact on Capitol Hill, where Republicans who control both houses signaled last week that it was time to move on to other issues.
Republicans zeal to repeal and replace Obamacare was met with both intra-party divisions between moderates and conservatives and also the increasing approval of a law that raised the number of insured Americans by 20 million.
Polling indicates a majority of Americans are ready to move on from healthcare at this point. According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Saturday, 64 percent of 1,136 people surveyed on Friday and Saturday said they wanted to keep Obamacare, either entirely as is or after fixing problem areas. That is up from 54 percent in January.
But Price also told NBC he would implement Obamacare because it is the law of the land.
Watch Sen John Mccain Cast ‘no’ Vote On ‘skinny’ Repeal
It isn’t clear what comes next, but the collapse of some insurance markets around the country serve as an incentive for Republicans and Democrats to hold hearings and fix the problems with health care.
Most Republicans never embraced the different iterations of legislation they crafted, nor the process by which it was constructed. Even on the last-ditch effort at a bare-bones bill, Republicans couldnt reach agreement. Over the past two days, many rejected a plan that would have partially repealed and replaced Obamacare and a measure that would have just repealed it. The repeal vote was the same bill that passed the Senate and the House in 2015 when former President Barack Obama vetoed it.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, stood against every version of the legislation even in the face of immense pressure. The Trump administration threatened to withhold federal resources from Alaska because of her opposition, according to the Alaska Daily News. Murkowski herself said the next day in response to the report that she would not characterize it as a “threat.”
“I sat there with Senator McCain. I think both of us recognize that its very hard to disappoint your colleagues,” Murkowski told NBC News after the vote. “And I know that there is disappointment because it was the three votes that Senator McCain, Senator Collins, and I cast that did not allow this bill to move forward. And that is difficult.”
“John McCain is a hero and has courage and does the right thing,” Schumer said.

GNSS Simulators Market by Component Type (Single Channel and Multichannel), GNSS Receiver (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou), Application (Vehicle Assistance Systems, Location-based Services, and Mapping), Vertical, and Region - Global Forecast to 2025 published on
https://www.sandlerresearch.org/gnss-simulators-market-by-component-type-single-channel-and-multichannel-gnss-receiver-gps-galileo-glonass-and-beidou-application-vehicle-assistance-systems-location-based-services-and-map.html
GNSS Simulators Market by Component Type (Single Channel and Multichannel), GNSS Receiver (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou), Application (Vehicle Assistance Systems, Location-based Services, and Mapping), Vertical, and Region - Global Forecast to 2025
“The growing penetration of consumer IoT, as IoT devices play an important role in a broad range of applications, such as navigation, mapping, and location-based services, is contributing to the growth of GNSS simulators software, hardware, and services.”
The global GNSS simulators market size to grow from USD 106 million in 2020 to USD 165 million by 2025, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 9.3% during the forecast period. Various factors such as rapid penetration of consumer IoT, the contribution of 5G in enabling ubiquitous connectivity, and increasing use of wearable devices utilizing location information are expected to drive the adoption of the GNSS simulators hardware, software, and services. The objective of the report is to define, describe, and forecast the GNSS simulators market size based on component, type, GNSS receiver, application, vertical, and region.
COVID-19 has shocked the world and sent economies spinning. It was late-2019 when the virus first appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan. Initially, it only affected China, but its effects started being felt around the globe, with many countries implementing lockdown. The volunteers from Slovakian company Sygic and other technology companies developed a mobile application, aiming to slow down the spread of COVID-19. The technology used GNSS and Bluetooth sensors to determine if the user came into contact with an infected person in the last 14 days. According to a study by Science Daily published in September 2020, the quality of GNSS reflectometry measurements may have improved significantly during the pandemic because of the lack of cars parked near the ground station. The researchers showed that parked cars significantly reduced the quality of the elevation data by scattering the GNSS signals, causing them to be reflected several times before they reached the antenna, like a cracked mirror.
In the year 2019, many Communications Service Providers (CSPs) started trials and rollouts of 5G networks. Many countries were getting ready for rollouts through spectrum auctions, infrastructure contracts, and other initiatives. But due to the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a huge impact on both rollouts and readiness for 5G. Countries have started witnessing delays in their spectrum auctions. Technologies deployed in 5G network contain a wide bandwidth for better time resolution, which makes 5G networks a convenient environment for accurate positioning. Hence, it also plays an important role in GNSS. So, the COVID-19 pandemic has indirectly impacted the GNSS as 5G/GNSS will be the core of future location engines for many applications in the Location-Based Services (LBS) and IoT domains.
The managed services segment to grow at a higher CAGR during the forecast period
The GNSS simulators services market is expected to gain traction in the coming years with the growing adoption of GNSS simulator hardware and software. GNSS simulator services are divided into managed services and professional services. Managed services areexpected to grow at higher CAGR as it include support, maintenance, and infrastructure management. The demand for services in the GNSS simulators market is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years, as they support various business objectives.
The navigation application segment to have the largest market size during the forecast period
The GNSS simulators market by applications has been segmented into navigation, mapping, surveying, LBS, vehicle assistance systems, and others (timing and synchronization, gaming, weather forecasting, telematics). Navigation constellations represent strategic assets that are controlled by governmental budgets, and in most countries, it is controlled by military budgets supporting critical infrastructures for time synchronization, contributing to the growth of navigation applications.
The multichannel GNSS simulator to have higher CAGR during the forecast period
The GNSS simulators market by type has been segmented into single-channel and multichannel. Multichannel simulator is expected to register a higher CAGR during the forecast period. The adoption of multichannel simulators is catching pace as they can perform simulations of multiple satellite signals and are also capable of simulating single or multiple frequencies.
Among regions, Asia-Pacific to account for higher CAGR during the forecast period
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, eHealth technologies are being utilized all across APAC, with telemedicine including online medical appointments being widely adopted in China. GNSS-based contact tracing apps are used in South Korea, India, Taiwan, and China, contributing to the growth of GNSS simulators in APAC.

New Post has been published on https://techcrunchapp.com/pharmeasy-in-investment-talks-with-naspers-tpg-technology-news-ettech/
PharmEasy in investment talks with Naspers, TPG, Technology News, ETtech

South African technology and media conglomerate Naspers and US-based private equity firm TPG are in talks to invest up to $100 million each in Mumbai-based online pharmacy PharmEasy, three sources aware of the development said.
The proposed investment is likely to be done at a pre-money valuation $1.2 billion, the sources told ET.
The funding talks come less than a month after India’s competition watchdog approved a merger between PharmEasy and smaller rival Medlife, heralded as the first big consolidation play in a sector seeing heightened competition and entry of deep-pocketed players like Reliance Industries and Amazon.
ET was the first to report in August that the merger had been completed. A spokesperson for Naspers did not comment on the capital raising talks.
“It is the company’s policy to neither acknowledge nor deny its involvement in any merger, acquisition or divestiture activity, nor to comment on market rumours,” the spokesperson wrote in response to ET’s email.
PharmEasy did not respond to ET’s queries till the time of going to press.
PharmEasy received $100 million from Singapore’s Temasek in August last year, valuing it at $650-$700 million. It also wrapped up a $100-$120 million equity financing round in July last year, led by a host of new investors, including the second-largest Canadian pension fund CDPQ, and LGT – the private banking and asset management group controlled by the Liechtenstein princely family.
PharmEasy also counts venture capital firm Orios Venture Partners and Eight Roads as its early backers.

That merger of PharmEasy and Medlife saw the latter sell 100% shares to API Holdings, the parent entity of PharmEasy, in return for 19.59% ownership in the combined entity, according to a filing with the Competition Commission of India (CCI), which ET had reviewed.
Top merchant bankers told ET that the broader pharmaceutical sector was expected to see a significant uptick in deal making.
“A lot of capital raising will happen in pharma. People will expand manufacturing capacities across the board. Entrepreneurs are getting more confident about their own businesses. This is a sector which has gone through a crisis of confidence…Whether that will happen through internal accruals, capital, it can be a combination of everything. It’s a big sector to watch out for… I would say this is the beginning phase for pharma again,” Gaurav Deepak, chief executive and co-founder of homegrown financial services giant Avendus Capital, told ET recently.
Online pharmacies such as PharmEasy and 1MG have registered growth outside their core metropolitan markets by rapidly expanding into tier-2 and tier-3 towns and cities, as they look to grab a larger slice of the Indian consumer wallet.
According to a recent report by RedSeer Consulting, India’s top four e-pharmacies, including Medlife, Netmeds, 1MG and PharmEasy contributed 90% to online drug sales.
The average order value has gone up to Rs 1,200 with customers ordering on average 10 times per year.
“Investors are looking beyond the discount-led model. They are looking at companies that have stabilised their supply chain and logistics infrastructure, while also developing their standing as market leaders, and are firmly focused on margins,” one of the sources cited earlier in the story said.
India’s eHealth market, led by the online pharmacy category, is pegged to touch $16 billion over the next five years, from its current market size of $1.2 billion, according to market watcher RedSeer Consulting.
The growth will be driven by a massive influx of customers availing online healthcare services, according to the report — Indian eHealth at a tipping point.
The number of households using eHealth services will grow to a projected 60 million by 2025 from 4.3 million today, it said.
“Online pharmacies are just the trigger and will make consumers explore the second and third use cases,” said Anil Kumar, founder and CEO of RedSeer Consulting. “E-health starts making sense only if you as a consumer look at it as a single-window service.”

New paradigms for a new world: online event with futurists Gerd Leonhard & John Eyles, August 7 2020
Welcome to the Great Transformation, accelerated by Covid19: Big Tech, Big State, Big Health, Big Green. What new paradigms are emerging? A free online event August 7 2020 8am CET 8pm NZ. Sign up here.
Big Tech. Big Media. Big State. Big Health. Big Green – our post-covid world?
This is a free event, live-streaming on YouTube and on my LinkedIn page (registration is requested, however), presented by:
Gerd Leonhard, Futurist & Humanist, Author of “Technology vs Humanity”, Keynote Speaker, Host of TheFutureShow, CEO TheFuturesAgency, Zürich / Switzerland
John Eyles, Creator, Educator, Futureneer. Based in Waiheke / Auckland, New Zealand, John heads up multiple consulting initiatives in the areas of strategic planning, innovation, futurism, education, and healthcare.
Some of us are riding the ‘CoronaCoaster’ of utter uncertainty, worries and anxiety, yet others are also experiencing moments of hope and glimpses of a newly emerging world, accelerated by the pandemic.
Covid19 feels like a giant accelerator – both for the things that were ‘good’ before (working from home, ehealth, elearning, and online conferencing) as well as those that were not so good before (such as rising inequality and healthcare shortcomings).
Gerd and John believe that this crisis presents a very unique opportunity to tackle tough issues that seemed like ‘impossible missions’ before, such as climate change, inequality and the future of capitalism. After all, many of us are already getting used to emergency rules and regulations – maybe this is a good lesson for the future?
One thing is certain: We are entering an era of big tech, big media, big state & big debt, big health, and big green – and we are never ‘going back to normal’ (whatever that was).
This is truly a unique pivot point in human history, where deep paradigm changes can occur and our future can be re-designed. Can we seize this moment and ensure that these humble beginnings become the new normal, so that we can build a better future together..?
Taking a wider view, Gerd and John will explore a wide range of near-future issues such as climate change, inequality, the future of capitalism and how to harness the current momentum for solidarity and collaboration across our societies. In addition, Gerd and John will comment on technology regulation, data security, surveillance and digital ethics.
