one of the more interesting canon divergence post wwx's death I've encountered. what if ayuan didn't survive, and what if lwj was pushed, through just a very slightly different configuration of events, out of the path of mourning that he did follow in canon? it's always fascinating to me to consider what possible circumstances might push lwj to demonic cultivation, and this fic posits a plausible reason that extends beyond revenge and rage, which imo feels quite true to lwj. a note that though the fic is tagged for both mdzs/untamed, characterisation specifically reads much more in line with untamed canon. if that's sth you enjoy I'd rec giving this fic a try! - Anon
