yung iniinvite ako maglaro ng phlwin which is an online gamble and ez money daw.
So it is a big NO for me.

Why Your Business Needs To Manage its Positive Reviews
Social Media Tips for Small Business Owners
The digital age has revolutionized how business people carry out their day-to-day operations. Small businesses now get the fair chance and attention of their target market, as long as they know how to properly manage their social media, and attract the right clientele.
Apart from getting your message across your target audience, social media also provides feedback on the product or service. This paves the way for improvement or retention of good business practice, and on the client side, a glimpse of what a company can offer. Why your business needs to manage its positive reviews is a question that can be answered by most digital professionals. Positive reviews need not only be propagated, it also has to be positioned where potential clients will be able to read it.
Social media can do a lot for one’s business especially the positive reviews that come with it. (Photo Credits)
Buffer Social encourages business owners to be consistent in their social media strategy and engagement to get the most out of it.
“We’ve found that it takes eight months to one year to really get the hang of social. Not only to get a consistent content stream going, but to figure out what your audience resonates with and what they don’t.
It all starts with planning. Create a social media strategy and write it down in order to hold your business accountable. Your strategy should include a basic company mission statement, content plan and goals. And most importantly, a powerful statement on “why” people would follow you on social media, what kind of content you plan on creating and posting, and what you hope to achieve.”
Read the rest of their advice here.
Social Media Savvy
Socialnomics.net also came up with tips on social media management for business owners and brand managers. One of their tips is to avoid over-posting, or its opposite. eEndorsements Reputation For Hotels
“Social media experts will tell you that it’s safe to post multiple times a day. But how many times a day should you publish content? The truth is that there’s no one-size-fits-all formula; you have to decide the frequency of posting based on the social media platform. For instance, Twitter’s feed fill-up rate allows you to post at least 4-5 times a day, but do not do the same on LinkedIn, as you might be disfavored for spamming. Create an experiment or run a survey and see how many times you need to post to increase your reach and engagement, without affecting your reputation on social.”
Check out the rest of the material here.
Best thing to Do
SmallBizTrends.com also discussed some ways to stay on top of the social media game. One of their tips is to be consistent, and post out something that is of value to your followers. eEndorsments Physician And HealthCare Review Management
“Striking a balance here can be really hard. On one hand, you want to be able to post often enough that your profile grows. But on the other, crappy content is still crappy content. If you are just churning out useless posts like inspirational quotes or jokes, especially if you don’t have a fair amount of original content, you are nothing more than a glorified bot account. You may have noticed the best brand social media sites out there are the ones that manage to really engage with their customers. So post often, post consistently, but only post good stuff.”
Take a look at the rest of their advice here.
Why your business needs to manage its positive reviews is indeed important, to make the most of what the internet and social media can provide to your business.

How Hotels and Restaurants Benefits From Positive Online Reviews
How Hotels and Restaurants Benefits From Positive Online Reviews
Nowadays, availing products and services, especially those that are non-basic such as hotel stays, and fine dining, rely on online reviews. Consumers usually browse through third party review sites, website feedback, and social media reviews on a certain service provider before availing of the services that they offer.
The hotel and restaurant industry largely benefits from online reviews simply because these feedback pertain to real experiences of customers who may or may not have enjoyed their services. And whether the review is positive or negative, the establishment still benefits from it because reviews, as long as they are truthful and authentic, provide raw feedback that is needed to help improve service levels. Hotel Reputation Management
A study published by the International Journal of Information Management entitled “Are customers’ reviews creating value in the hospitality industry? Exploring the moderating effects of market positioning,” has concluded that indeed online reviews are creating an impact on the hotel and restaurant industry. The study in essence answered how hotels and restaurants benefits from positive online reviews.
Hotels and restaurants benefit from online reviews whether these are positive or negative. (Photo Credits)
“The results from fixed effects regression models show that online ratings from user-generated reviews on TripAdvisor have a positive effect on hotel revenue growth that is outweighed by a negative effect on gross profit margins. Thus, the increasing importance of user-generated reviews in online communities for travellers is shifting hotel competition from unit profit margin to volumes and to higher room occupancy rates, with online retailers capturing most of the value created in online transactions through social media features and with a limited effect brought on net profitability. However, hotels with higher star-rating, with a lower degree of local competition and localized outside popular destinations were found to obtain more benefits from online visibility on their gross and net profitability.” eEndorsements Restaurant Review Management
Download the whole study here.
As for restaurants, The Guardian quoted a study conducted by two economics professors from the University of California – Berkeley which aimed to measure the relationship between online ratings and the potential customer’s decision to avail of the services of the rated restaurant.
In their conclusion, the economists said social media influences the consumer’s perception of the quality of the services provided by an establishment.
“They found that a restaurant with a rating improved by just half a star – on a scale of 1 to 5 – was much more likely to be full at peak dining times. Indeed, an extra half-star rating caused a restaurant’s 7pm bookings to sell out on from 30% to 49% of the evenings it was open for business. Significantly, the two economists found that the increase in trade happened without any change in prices or the quality of food and service, confirming that it was the reviews that brought in the new customers.”
The Wall Street Journal also published an article pertaining on the effects of online reviews to the income of hotel and restaurant operators. The write-up focused on the findings of a study conducted by an economist from Microsoft Research and a Marketing Professor from The Boston University Questrom School of Business. eEndorsements Corporate Reputation Management
“The component of the study that convinced the researchers that the reviews caused the increases was a natural experiment that allowed them to examine abrupt changes in hotel ratings. Expedia and Hotels.com combined their review collections in 2013 so that hotels on the sister sites displayed the same rating. After scores were averaged across both platforms, some rose, some fell and some were unchanged. Demand rose by 26% to 29%, on average, for each additional ratings star. Hotels whose ratings fell lost market share.”
The original published write-up can be found here.
Online reviews indeed play a huge part in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry.

Why its important to track your online reviews and get feedback
The Importance of Online Reviews on a Business
With almost every consumer being online for most part of the day, if not 24/7, it is not surprising that consumers rely on online reviews before making any purchase decision or before hiring professional help.
For enterprises that have been actively marketing over the internet, and the social media sphere, online reviews have become one of the major factors that get customer traffic into their respective businesses.
Reviews and feedbacks matter a lot to businesses. (Photo Credits)
Search Engine Land for instance published an article based on a study that says that most consumers trust online reviews just as they also put a heavy weight on personal recommendations of their friends and those in their social circle. eEndorsements for Hotel
“For 7 out of 10 consumers, positive reviews inspire trust. This highlights just how important they are for a local business, and it’s clear that reputation management is something that cannot be ignored. Any negative reviews will directly affect customer acquisition and, in turn, company revenue.”
Read the whole study here.
Why are online reviews essential?
The website Screenwerk.com meantime tried to answer why its important to track your online reviews and get feedback. The web author conducted an online poll and posted it in the above mentioned website.
“As with any poll you’re capturing attitudes rather than behavior. But what it reflects is that 67% of the time people are paying attention to what others have said about a business. In roughly one quarter (24%) of those cases they’re factoring that information into their decision in a serious way. Most of the time, however, people use it as one of several considerations, hence the 43% “somewhat” response.”
Check out the whole article here.
The website The Online Department meantime enumerated the many reasons why online reviews should be given importance by businesses. eEndorsements Reputation Management
“Online reviews can tell you whether you are doing a good job or what you are doing wrong and how to improve your service. This allows you to better serve your consumers by quickly and efficiently resolving any issues consumers have, thereby creating a positive experience for the consumer that will only help your business in the future.”
See the other reasons here.
Online reviews and feedbacks indeed help a lot in improving one’s products or services, and in encouraging more customers to try out the product and services that is being offered.
