His eyes looked at all of the old paintings hanging on the wall, each one a piece of the building's past that told of it's long running heritage. Of the people that had been here before them and how they had cared for it. All of them were interesting enough, but then his eyes settled on the last one and he froze on spot.

A man dressed in blue robes, the red cloak around his shoulders was embellished along the edges and the foldens clasps that looked like downwards pointing wings rested on either side of a eye shaped pendant. He was a handsome figure, the paint didn't do his blue eyes justice, he believed. His black hair kept neatly in place except the few loose bangs over his right eye was a sharp contrast to the grey that ran from his temples to the back of his head. His well kept facial hair reminded him of-

"Hey mini me, ready to go?" Tony asked as he came from the room where he'd been talking to Damon, giving his son a smile.

"Dad, who's this?" Edward asked as he pointed up at the portrait in the elaborate gold frame.

Tony's expression softened and his smile faded a little as he looked at the painting for a moment. He walked over to his son and picked him up so he could see the painting closer.

"That, is one of the greatest heroes of our time," he told the boy as he looked at the man's portrait again. "Stephen Vincent Strange, the previous master of the Sanctum before your mom. The man who saved my life, which allowed me and Damon the chance to have you. And for that, I'm eternally thankful to him."

I just think that personally if I hero-worshipped someone from early childhood up to a rather questionably late point in my adult life and then, upon becoming a superhero myself, I met the man I’d looked up to for so long - the one who was marketed as the golden boy, America’s sweetheart, society’s moral compass - and he quite clearly disliked me from the get go I’d go incredibly insane. Personally.
