Rebels apreciation week - day 4!
day 4: favorite episode
"The last battle" - season 3, episode 6
This is a special episode for me for a couple of reasons. I love both Rebels and The Clone Wars an almost equal amount, so whenever I sit down to rewatch some star wars content (for nostalgia) I can count on having a hard time deciding between those two. This episode, however, mixes two of my favourite things in a super enjoyable story I find myself rewatching more than I should.
First of all, it's got my favourite line from all the star wars media ever, in my opinion. It's not deep, inspirational, life changing or anything, but it cracks me up EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
"Roger Roger" "Wait, who's roger?"
I also love that the Clone Wars technically never ended for some people, and there we can see how traumatic it was for those who survived it (especially for Rex, it pains me to see him asking for Cody when he wakes up scared at that base). That super tactical droid refusing to shut down and challenging them sounds like something straight out of a fanfic, and honestly? That's 80% of the reason I love it so much
The other 20% portion will have to include Ezra's questioning the whole "who won/should've won the war" debate. I remember when I was introducing the star wars movies to my friend she asked me some questions that included the following dialogue:
- So, a recap: In the ST it's resistance against first order. Who wins?
- The resistance.
- And in the OT it's rebels against the empire. The rebels win right?
- Yes
- Ok, and in the PT it's republic against separatists, right? Who wins?
And that got me thinking, because the republic technically wins, but only because it was all Palpatine playing chess against himself basically. And even then, before the official end of the war, the Republic wasn't the republic anymore, it was the Empire. So that scene in the command center really changed how I see the prequel era and I'm thankful for that.
I also don't want to write a whole book on this - even though I probably could -, but one last thing that makes me very emotional is the end titles with the Rebels logo in the CW style and the end theme is also changed. In short, it's one series inside the other, with good Kanan/Rex bonding moments and Bridger Boy learning more about history. A very educationalfield-trip with the family is all a peson can ask for and, boy, do they deliver.

Will be blogging on a new segment this upcoming week on my work outfits. Of course because I'm an interpreter, all I wear is black and dark colors due to my white skin. I need to contrast the colors for my hands to be visible for those who don't know about sign language interpreting. Since I'm doing some work with kids, I thought I could incorporate a bit of color with my cardigans as well as with beautiful jewelry pieces that I can tuck into my dress or shirt when interpreting is taking place. I want to share my outfits with terps out there who are tired or the same old boring outfits or even those who are struggling with making clothing more versatile for work. I love sharing my ideas and life with you all so I hope you enjoy this. #aslinterpreter #terplife #teamnodaysoff #signlanguage #deaf #asl #educationalfield #interpreter #clothes #outfitoftheweek #ootd #ootw #outfits #diy #blog
