#edogawa triplets

I feel as though my fixations are fighting in my head; one moment I'm coming up with a Port Mafia Ranpo Edogawa design from BSD, the next moment I'm reading a Fanfic on Shang Qinghua from SVSSS, then the brief passing idea to open yet another tab for that Draco Malfoy Time travel fix it for HP I read a while ago just to reread my favorite bits as I wait for more. Now I'm currently thinking of drawing fanart for a fanfic about Donald duck and the Three Caballeros in The Nutcracker.

Oh the things to do, I still wonder if I can do so all at once. But never try due to the guaranteed power nap that awaits me. I'm also having coughing fits at the moment so who knows. Might see more mind rambles or fanfiction rambles. Who knows!

I wonder if anyone would be interested in a TADC NPC OC I made, or perhaps that Welcome Home OC and my own Circus Au I made. Perhaps that Ducktales Au of the Three Caballeros raising the triplets as well? I will take advantage of this Ramble tag I made, that's for sure! Ah, this is getting long. But I would like to know if anyone is interested in anything I said here, so shout it in the comments! Or perhaps my asks? Lovely either way. Toodles!

A knock is heard on the door of the Alert Detective Agency. Opening the door reveals no one but a few wrapped presents all addressed to Shuu Edogawa.  Bringing them inside you see an envelope attached to one of the gifts with "Open First" written on top. Opening the envelope you see not a letter but a disc the size of a hand. Suddenly the disc activates and reveals a hologram of Kaoru Shinozaki of Wicked Requiem.

"Happy Birthday Shuu! Sorry, I can't be there to hand you these in person but Yuriko refuses to let me out of the house. Something about passing me out in the street because I haven't slept in 168 hours. Which rude I've gone longer without sleep before." Kaoru complains, pulling out an energy drink and drinking it all in one go. “Alright enough about my lack of sleep time. It's gift time!” Kaoru cheers.

Opening the first gift reveals several small black and white orbs lined inside the box. 

"A way for you to distract people, the black orbs are smoke bombs while the white orbs are flash-bangs. Throw either on the ground hard enough and they’ll release black smoke or white light to blind your target. It’ll help you escape without having to do that weird crab maneuver as a distraction."  Kaoru giggles. 

Opening the second gift reveals a small black rod no bigger than Shuu’s hand. To Shuu’s surprise, the rod extends to a baton. It begins to glow in the signature color of the Sazanka Zombeez.

"I’m sure you’ve seen my Spider Bite gauntlets before. The baton is the same way. Hit the button on the side and you’ll give someone an electrical shock when you strike them. Though for your baton I limited the strength so you don't accidentally stop someone’s heart with it. It should just be strong enough to knock someone out." Kaoru finishes.

Opening the last gift reveals a prepaid gift card.

“Here’s a little something so you can get something a little nice. It has about 10,000$ loaded onto it. So you can spend to your heart's content. Get a few new outfits on me. Huh? Where did the money come from? Don’t worry about how I got the money."  Kaoru replies a smirk on her face.

"Well Shuu, I can feel the lack of sleep catching up to me. I hope you enjoy your gifts and the rest of your birthday. Come and visit soon. Ah, shoot just remembered Kanra says to come over tonight cause she baking you a cheesecake for your birthday.” Kaoru manages to get out before her head hits the table. Loud snoring can be heard as the hologram cuts off.

Having just gotten back home from partying with a few friends and in between getting ready to see his family, Shuu was surprised to see a mysterious stack of gifts appear in front of his door. When he was able to carry all the gifts in and set them on the coffee table in the middle of his office, Shuu was surprised to open the envelop and see the hologram of his good friend pop up. How cool was it that Shuu got a hologram message from a friend? Already, he was excited to see what the boxes were going to have.

Making himself comfortable on one of the couches, Shuu unwrapped the first box and let out a little chuckle. Smoke bombs and flash bangs would certainly help with having to make a more safer escape, especially with how many of the D.R.B. competitors that have been catching Shuu! “With these, I can really confuse those guys, hehe…!”

Digging into the next box, the reveal of the electrical baton really seemed to excite the detective. Extending the rod and watching it glow, he couldn’t help but stand to give it a few test swings, just to see how it felt in his hand. “This is amazing! My own surprise baton!” In an almost sadistic giggle, Shuu started to plot. “Maybe I can test this on Ryuko before the day ends…”

Getting into the last gift, the gift card probably surprised Shuu the most. 10,000 was a lot and it really worried Shuu where Kaoru had gotten that sort of money. And as if the hacker had read his mind, Shuu got his answer pretty quickly, although it wasn’t explicitly stated. “I’ll let this slide… Just for now.” Shuu could only pout at the smirking hologram. It was hard to say no to an opportunity to indulge in his secret hobby. For once, Shuu didn’t try to scold Kaoru for doing something that was most obviously illegal.

“Thank you Kao-chan!” Shuu smiled and waved at the hologram, despite knowing that the Edogawa division member was unable to see or hear him through the recording. Watching Kaoru slam into the table at the end got Shuu to flinch and begin to worry for her health, but he figured that what Yuriko said was true… Poor girl must have stayed awake for over 150 hours, which really was worrying. Shuu hoped that Kaoru got the sleep she needed at the end. “I really should go see them tonight. Hopefully mama Yu-chan will let me in tonight.”

Picking up what was undoubtedly his favorite gift that Kaoru had given him, Shuu continued to give the baton some more test swings. He kept giggling to himself, extremely excited to have gotten a new defensive weapon, although there was no doubt in his mind that it could get confiscated if he got caught with it.

“S-Should we be worried about nii-chan?”

“I mean… He looks happy?”

The three triplets spied on Shuu through the window of the agency's door, eavesdropping on the collection of items that their older brother had seemingly gotten from the suspicious hologram friend they had never seen before.

“Papa's gonna tattle on him if he saw nii-chan with that stuff. I’m pretty sure his hologram friend gave him some illegal stuff.”

“You think so?”

“Definitely.”

“Should we say anything?”

“...”

“...”

“...”

“Yeah, let’s not.”

“For nii-chan?”

“For nii-chan’s happiness.”

The Kunugi Family!

Brought to by boredom, spite, and a general want to see my writing projects through.

Anyway, the main Kunugi family, at it's most simple, consists of five children, two parents, two maternal grandparents, and one unmarried maternal uncle.

In order of birth, the children are as follows, Ichiru, Toshirou, Misato, Chiasa, and Sorahiko.

Kisuke is older than his wife Aiko by little more than four and a half years. Uncle Satoru is only twenty-three at the start of everything, and the grandparents, Kunugi Sorahiko and Kunugi Izumi are exactly a decade apart in age, with Izumi being the older out of the pair.

Kunugi Kisuke, it should be noted, married into the family, (and his 'maiden' name is actually Kobashigawa, and both his parents are there own pieces of work, also, one of his brothers is dead, alongside his wife, and he desperately wishes he had taken in niece when presented with the opportunity, mostly because, one, it would improve his relationship with Aiko by leaps and bounds do to the fact that the woman was in love with said brother and his best friend, secondly, it would mean that Toshirou, Misato, Chiasa, and Sora likely wouldn't exist).

The married aunts and Uncle's are as follows.

Kunugi Akemi, after faking her death and becoming Ryuzaki Ushio, married Ubuyashiki Takeru, thus becoming Ubuyashiki Ushio, and, at the end of everything, has nine children.

Her eldest are the twins Reiji and Sora, followed by Nagisa two years later, followed by Minato another three years after that, then Rukia another three years later, and then Asuka five years after Rukia's birth, at the end we have the triplets, Yasuo, Yaeko, and Yachiko, who were born six years after Asuka's birth.

Out of the twins, Reiji is older by two and a half days, due to complications concerning Ushio's and Sora's individual health.

Reiji was born on May 19th, and Sora May 22nd.

The triplets were born in the order of Yachiko, Yasuo, and Yaeko, with their being two hours between Yachiko and Yasuo, and fifteen minutes between Yasuo and Yaeko.

Aunt Akemi was the second eldest after Sosuke, with Aiko being the third born, Himiko the fourth, and Satoru the fifth.

[Satoru, for the record, lives up to his namesake, mostly by ways of fucking with his family, as, unfortunately, his charges are ten and under here, and he would sooner knife you than entertain the idea of traumatizing small children for the sake of a 'lesson'.]

Kunugi Sosuke has a wife, (who he's actually fond of, le gasp), and a single daughter named Chiharu. Who he keeps far, far, far away from the shitshow that is their family on a good day, beyond that, he's the only Kunugi sibling produced by Sorahiko and Izumi to be taken to court over something.

(It was an assault charge, but for all his apathy concerning Aiko, he doesn't regret beating the ever loving shit out of Edogawa Ryusei.

Never.)

After him is Aunt Himiko, who is married to a pediatrician from China, and has three children, and has, successfully, been able to keep all three of them away from her shitshow of a family. She has two sons and a daughter, but naming them would defeat the point if keeping them away from the family. So dah!

Cousin Mizuki is the son of Sorahiko's younger brother Katsuyuki, and is a divorced man, and the main caregiver of three children, mostly because his wife is an absolute mess of a woman on a good day.

In order of birth, they are Makoto, Mikado, and Kiyomizu.

He's a bit eccentric, but he's probably the best father out of everyone present, (Sosuke is too emotionally distant from his daughter to really count).

They have another cousin named Ishikawa Chou, who is the daughter of Sorahiko's older sister Jakushitsu, and is probably the nost adjusted out of everyone here. She's has an incredibly close relationship with all her children, is a relatively good person, and tries her best.

It's really, really, really not her fault all her kids are so fucked up, (and neither is it Kenta's), it's just fates way of cursing the Kunugi line with incredibly complicated filial relationships.

(Because yeah, the only person who has an even remotely positive relationship with Sosuke is Aiko, and that's because she wasn't actively raised by him.)

In order of birth, her children are, Katsuki, Yubari, Hyosuke, Mamoru, and Yuu.

On Aiko and Kisuke's side of the mess, Kisuke's family situation is... just as bad.

His parents most certainly had their own favorites, and they had increasingly fucked up ways to show it, as their favorites, Kazuhiko and Suzuki, were constantly subjected to emotional abuse, and verbally torn apart at any and every opportunity, with Kazuhiko finally snapping and trying to leave with his wife, daughter, and Aiko.

[And, yes, Aiko did bring along Ichiru, for those wondering.]

(And while Kisuke may hate his wife with a burning passion, and barely tolerate his children, nowadays he doesn't blame her from wanting to get away from it all.

He really, really, really doesn't.

But the fact that she refused to so much as inform him of anything was probably what killed any chance of love between them in the first place.)

{Kisuke doesn't really hate his children as much as he says he does, he has his problems with them, yes, but sheer unadulterated hate is pushing it.

More than anything, he hopes none of them ever turn out like him and Aiko.}

Unfortunately, there was an accident, ending in Kazuhiko, and his wife Sanae, dying. Their daughter an orphan, and released into the hands of Hinata and Asahi.

(Mikazuki is a wonderful take on a child never having a stable home life, like, ever, the longest she's ever lived in a single place was the year or so she spent in Suzuki's care as an infant, and, now that she's twenty-two, the two solid years she's shared a studio-apartment with her spouse Nishikinomiya Kouya.)

// Wanted to add this to the post but I figured it was better separate. The triplets often try to steal Shuu's mic now that he has a hypnosis microphone. They can't use it, but that doesn't stop them from trying.

If they could, they would have probably participated in the D.R.B. as a team, but they lack the skills, the ability, and the proper age to really join in.

"Nii-chan, look at this kitty I found!"

"I-Ichigo did you catnap another kitten..?!"

"Why are we here bothering nii-chan again? It's not like I want to be here..."

Explained it before in Shuu's family relationship post, but I really wanted to draw these sisters out to really cement them as characters in this blog.

Ichigo, Niko, and Mikasa are triplets. Being the 12 year old sisters to Shuu, they love to go find and bother Shuu during his work. The three each have their own special skills:

Ichigo has a love for animals. From the furry, to slimy, to the crawlies, her love for living things has no bounds. Her dream is to become either a zookeeper or a veterinarian. Of the three sisters, Ichigo is the most energetic and unapologetic one. It is usually her fault that the three sisters get into trouble.

Niko may be shy and soft-spoken, but she has a morbid fascination in true crime, especially murderers. Oftentimes she says things that will disturb others. Overall, she has good intentions in heart, just a strange sense of interest. Niko is the sister who tries and fails to convince the others to not cause trouble, but is usually the sister to break into Shuu's office.

Mikasa may look like the type of person to hide in the shadows and sulk all day, but she is actually the most athletic girl of the trio. Having skills in many different sports, she has above average strength and speed for a junior high school student. She tries to put of a standoffish front with most people, but she's truly the clingiest sister of the group, especially towards Shuu.

Other overall tidbits:

The girls were born on October 10th.

Each of the girls' first character names correspond with the order they were born: Ichigo (一恋) being first, Niko (二湖), and Mikasa (三笠).

Their heights are practically the same around 4'10", although Ichigo is a few centimeters shorter than the others and Niko being the tallest by a landslide.

The family's natural hair color is blonde. Ichigo and Niko dyed their tips pink to match with their brother, but Mikasa wanted to have black hair, so she went against the rest of the family with her own style. She did still dye her hair tips pink, but it isn't as bright as the other sisters.

Each of the girls have their own ribbon to tie into their hair, matching with their favorite colors.

All three girls go to the same school, just different classes to avoid confusion.

The three dislike a lot of questions that focus on them being triplets.

They all do their best to look as different from the other, styling their hair in specific ways and dressing in certain clothes.

Sazanka Zombeez Drama Track 1 - Rise from the Dead

Part 3

【 Alert Private Investigative Agency 】

Niko: Nii-chan!

Ichigo: Noooo!!

The sun was setting and the Edogawa family’s agency was filled with the cries of the triplets doing their best to fight back against their older brother, Shuu Edogawa. The small male was doing his best to juggle all three siblings with the first triplet Ichigo clinging to his arm, the second triplet Niko blocking the doorway, and the last quietest triplet Mikasa attached to Shuu’s leg.

Shuu: It's getting late! Papa is gonna kill me if you guys try and stay overnight here again!

Ichigo: We promise to be good!

Niko: Maybe Ichigo does, but I want to find out where you stash your evidence stuff!

Mikasa: I don’t want to go home… I want to stay here.

Shuu: Waahh! I don't want us all to get in trouble with papa!

Niko: If you don’t snitch on us, we can be good!

Shaking off Ichigo, Shuu manages to step out of Mikasa’s grasp and run away. Hiding behind the office couches that sat in the middle of the room, the blonde man points at the girls in a threatening manner.

Shuu: I-If you don’t go home to papa, I’ll have to call him over to pick you guys up!

Edogawa Triplets: No, don’t!

Shuu: You know how papa won’t allow you guys to walk home alone in the dark. If you don’t go now, I’ll have no choice but to call him here!

All three girls begin to slump in defeat at those words. As much as it hurt Shuu, he wanted his sisters to be safe whether they be walking home safely during the daylight hours or avoiding their father’s punishments for disobeying.

Mikasa: C-Could you at least walk us home?

Ichigo: Yeah! You should come home and have dinner with us for once! You’re never there for dinnertime!

Shuu: You know that papa’s agency is now my home. Besides, I have an important meeting tonight.

Niko: Important…? Are you meeting with some serial killer?!

Shuu: What kind of detective do you think I am?!

Shaking his head at his sister, Shuu could only smile at them.

Shuu: I finally have the chance to meet an online friend tonight! I promise, I’m not going to do anything work related. Okay?

At those words, all three sisters fell into silence. Their confused stares bored into Shuu as the P.I. began to sweat from the new, judgmental pressure the girls seemed to put him under.

Shuu: W-Why are you guys staring at me like that?

Each sister began to hit Shuu with their own Cheshire cat grins once he had stuttered nervously. And one by one, the three sisters began to head towards the door and open it, making their exit in an unusually cooperative way. 

Ichigo: If you say so, nii-chan~

Niko: You have fun then, nii-chan!

Mikasa: B-Be safe, nii-chan.

Slowly shutting the door behind them, Shuu could only watch in confusion as their shadows vanished from the window of the door. Once the giggles and whispers had faded completely, Shuu finally slumped over the back of the couch he had hidden behind, a loud groan filling the empty room.

Shuu: Why do I have the bad feeling they’re gonna tell papa something weird… I hope he doesn’t call me in the middle of the night about it.

After spending some time just lazing over the back of the couch, Shuu begrudgingly got up to his desk. While he waited for his “online friend” to arrive, the detective figured he could go through some emails on his laptop. Seeing as work still needed to be done, it would be a productive thing for the little workaholic to do.

ー Later, At Night ー

The time for Shuu’s mystery net friend has passed by ten minutes at this point and Shuu was getting worried. Did his soon-to-be friend run into some trouble? It was possible, after all, the city can be pretty dangerous at night. But Shuu wanted to believe that this person was tough enough to make it. After all, it was their idea to come at night…

That’s when Shuu noticed a shadow coming into the view of the agency’s door. However, the sound of two voices put him off. He was only expecting one person to come to Alert, not two. So… Who were these people?

The door muffled the voices too much to really make out anything definitive, but Shuu didn’t want to take any chances with these newcomers. Grabbing his one form of self-defense for him and his work (a baton that a police officer had gifted him) Shuu cautiously made his way to the door. As soon as a knock had rattled the door, the little P.I. started to shout from his side of the door, refusing to open it until he could at least confirm the username he was expecting.

Shuu: He… H-Hewwo?!

Ryuko: Uh… Yo? Are you the guy who runs the “Alert” or whatever agency?

Shuu: W-Who’s asking?

Maki: Ryuko, are you sure this is…?

Ryuko: Shut up, Maki… Look, I’m here to meet the guy who apparently runs this place. I’m his online friend-

Shuu: Tell me your username!

At those words, the two Umemoto brothers standing outside could only look at each other in confusion. Maki simply gestured his head towards the door, so Ryuko do as the quivering voice on the other side demanded. With that, Ryuko cleared his throat and did as requested.

Ryuko: It’s uh… MR ZB? I did an art commission for your business.

A gust of air and finally, the brother were face to face with Shuu, the small detective. At first, there seemed to be a great big smile of relief on Shuu’s face, until both Shuu and Ryuko took each others’ faces in and they simultaneously began to pale in the face. Shuu was the first to react, by slamming the door back in the Umemoto brothers’ faces, followed by a shrill scream.

Shuu: Gyahhh!!! He’s come for me!!!

Maki: R-Ryuko?! What is the meaning of this?

Maki was about to start scolding Ryuko, but his frustration was put to a pause once the older brother looked at the younger’s expression. An indescribable look was plastered on the ex-yakuza’s face. Shock? Anger? Fear? There were a million things going through Ryuko’s head when he saw Shuu’s ever so familiar face, before the door had been unceremoniously slammed in his face.

Without saying anything, Ryuko slammed the door open violently, causing the smaller man to shriek even more. Maki lost in the panic could only follow behind the brutish brother with extreme worry for what Ryuko was about to do.

Ryuko: You!

Shuu: Nooo! He’s breaking in!!

Wildly, Shuu began to swing the baton at Ryuko in a futile attempt to defend himself. In response, Ryuko seemed to be charging in with an attack of his own only for Maki to swoop in and perfectly toss Ryuko to the ground and pin him down.

Ryuko: Maki, you fucking bastard! Let me go!

Once the more aggressive man had been trapped to the ground, Maki was quick to raise his voice at the panicked Shuu.

Maki: Sir, please calm down! We aren’t here to harm you!

With that, Shuu was quick to stop his attack. Despite still clinging the baton and holding out in front of him in defense, Shuu seemed to be eager to talk.

Shuu: W-Why is he here?!

Ryuko: Why are you here?!

Shuu: This is my business! How did you find me?!

Ryuko: I didn’t fucking mean to! It was just a coincidence!

Shuu: Don’t lie to me!

Maki: Ryuko, explain to me why you both are acting like this.

Ryuko and Shuu: We swore to never meet again!

Their simultaneous answer really took Maki aback, making him look back and forth between the baton wielding blonde and the albino man pinned to the ground. Letting the sounds of both of their labored breathing to fill the room, Maki processed the events that had transpired and took in the information he knew about his brother’s past. With it, Maki seemed to come to a conclusion, which he looked to Shuu with surprise.

Maki: You knew Ryuko when he was a yakuza underling?

Shuu: W-Was?

This new information seemed to surprise Shuu, but on the other hand, Ryuko looked a little ashamed.

Ryuko: He’s right. I quit that life.

Processing those words, Shuu gestured for Maki to release Ryuko. Maki was a bit hesitant, but he soon obliged when Ryuko gave a nod to let him know that he wasn’t going to try anything. Slowly, Ryuko stood up. And slowly, Ryuko approached Shuu. Stopping at the end of the baton, the man looked down at Shuu and confronted him.

Ryuko: I didn’t think I’d have this chance, but I’ve wanted to meet with you again for a really long time.

Shuu: H-Huh?

Ryuko: You’re once of important people who helped me get out of that reckless life. And… Fuck, I guess I’ve wanted to thank you for contributing that, okay?

Grabbing the baton, Ryuko carefully took the weapon from Shuu’s hand and tossed it aside.

Ryuko: You don’t have to be afraid of me anymore. Just… Forget that stupid promise. I’m here to meet you as my true self.

Looking at Ryuko, Shuu could only gape at the taller man. Stepping back, Ryuko bowed at Shuu dramatically, shouting out an apology and self introduction.

Ryuko: I’m sorry for all the trouble before! Please accept me as a friend. Not as the yakuza you met, but as Ryuko Umemoto!

Staying in the bowing position, Ryuko waited for a response. But… Rather than words of confirmation, the soft sounds of giggling started to fill the room. As the sounds got louder and louder, Ryuko could only raise his head and look at Shuu in confusion, while the P.I. shook with laughter.

Ryuko: A-Are you alright?

Shuu: Y-You… You’re saying you aren’t in the yakuza anymore, but you still act just like it!

Ryuko: Hey!

Shuu: N-No, it’s not bad. But I’m glad that you’re out of that.

Ryuko: …

Shuu: I’m sure that you’re sad about it, but think positive! Now, we can be friends openly without worrying about the safety of each other, right?

Tapping the albino man on the shoulder, Shuu ushered Ryuko to stand up straight again.

Shuu: So drop the formalities, okay? We can be friends, right?

Ryuko: R-Right.

Shuu: So stand up straight! Just talk with me normally, okay?

Ryuko: …Okay.

Shuu: Hey, you gotta be more excited about it, right? Shout it out!

Ryuko: Okay!

Shuu: There we go! Now we can be best of friends!

Ryuko: Alright!!

Relationship: Family - Shuu Edogawa

Satoshi Edogawa - The head of the Edogawa family, aged 56. Currently works as the Chief Inspector in Suginami City, he’s recognized as a ray of hope at crime scenes. He previously worked as a private investigator before he handed the company to Shuu to pursue a better career as the Chief Inspector. Shuu gets along well with his father, although Shuu cannot stand his father’s teasing whenever they happen to work together.

Junko Edogawa - Biological mother to Shuu and his sisters, she had left the Edogawa family 6 years ago for another man. While the father of the family seems to ignore what had happened between them, Shuu keeps a form of connection with his mother through very rare phone calls. Overall, Shuu feels betrayed by his mother and is short-tempered whenever they speak.

Ichigo Edogawa - The first triplet sister in the Edogawa family, 12 years old. The most energetic of the triplets, she has an obsession with animals always trying to bring strays home despite the complaints of her father. Ichigo admires how Shuu works hard to help people and often encourages him to take more missing animal cases, despite Shuu’s complaints.

Niko Edogawa - Second triplet sister in the Edogawa family, also 12 years of age. Known as the softspoken triplet with a morbid fascination in true crime. She usually leads the trio of sisters over to Shuu’s agency whenever they can to get a peek into whatever Shuu may be working on.

Mikasa Edogawa - The third triplet sister in the Edogawa family, aged 12. Despite her tastes in dark, moody clothing she has made a name for herself as a great sportsman with a preference for tennis. Mikasa tends to act cold and distant from Shuu, but is actually the most clingiest of the sisters, always grabbing at Shuu’s limbs and clothing to stay attached to him.
