The state government is helping the poor and middle-class families who are interested in pursuing higher education abroad after graduation and are financially backward through the foreign education fund scheme. A loan of Rs.20 lakhs is provided in two installments to support their development.

Ambedkar Overseas Education Fund for SC and ST students, Chief Minister Overseas Education Fund for Minorities, and Mahatma Jyotibafule Education Fund for BC students are assured. These schemes are being implemented for SCs and STs from 2014-15, for minorities from 2015-16, and for BCs from 2018. Due to a lack of awareness, few have gone abroad to study through these schemes.
