i've always found it interesting that AP and Glam are about 2 dudes living in response to their fathers' influence (for patrick it's implied through working for his dad's company) and how they both deal with it so differently

this is why AP -> Glam -> Lunar Park. the theme of father-son relationships and having the past catch up with you has been built up since AP

Everytime I see something like "og greed was just edgy and had nothing interesting until he became greedling" i die inside a little.

He fucking tricked you! He got your ass!!!! That is literally what greed as a character wants everybody to think. He's built on pretending that he's some tough guy edgelord, but when push comes to shove he absolutely cannot keep his cool when his friends are in serious danger!! And he fucking lives his friends. There's no Greedling regaining Greed’s memories through Bido without Bido having been a seriously and deeply important friend. There's no Greed contradicting what he said to Ed without him seriously caring about Roa and Dolcetto. There's no Greed apologizing for shoving Martel without him being friendly with her (because he sure doesn't legitimately apologize to Ed about fighting him) and he also wouldn't being trying to comfort Al without having respect and care for kids
