bc of my idol spinterest i am quite fond of when jpop starts referencing kpop or the other way around i just think theres a point where it starts feeling more like youre trying to make money off a trend (this is with jpop referencing kpop in specific) rather than just like an Homage and it starts being deeply annoying to look at

Okay so I have a lot of feelings about this episode, but I’ve gotta say it might be my favorite episode of desperado so far? Like I’m a MASSIVE fan of someone to dance with and the ending of s2e1 is a scene that will echo in my brain until I fucking die, but this one just had so much in it...like so much. Multiple things that i was like “wow I hope this shows up in desperado eventually!” happened this episode, and I feel just elated. Anyways enough pre liveblog rambles, here’s the tea.

rambly list of thoughts about infinity war (spoilers!!!):

- SO EMOTIONALLY OVERWHELMING LIKE. F UCK

- everything with tony was just. so sublime holy shit amen tbh

- tony and peter’s relationship continued to be one my favourites in the mcu and That Scene was the one that finally broke me down enough to be able to cry while surrounded by strangers lmao

- returned unto me the steve rogers aka captain america i Know and Love - his entrance!!! when he said “let’s go home”!!! fuck!!! “earth’s best defender”.....

- speaking of, tony keeping that goddam flip phone on his person for two?? three??? years like holy shit dude

- ajsjjskss like...invested me in wanda and vision??? like damn i was feeling some emotions about them i Did Not Except ngl

- gamora. just. gamora !!!! everything with gamora she’s for sure one of my faves now

- i love how they blended thor’s characterisations from thor 1/2 and 3 it worked rly rly well for the tone of aiw - giving him his godly gravitas while keeping that earth humour defence mechanism ;; also he was just SUCH a fucking badass he had some of the most epic moments in the movie

- i’m on board with how loki’s death was handled even if it did happen. rly early holy shit - but yeah i think if he doesn’t come back, his overall arc feels complete nonetheless ;;

- poor rocket being the only guardian left 😢😢

- i’ll say straight up that they made thanos more engaging as a big bad purple alien that destroys worlds than i initially thought they would be able to so. kudos for that i certainly didn’t expect to see thanos crying in this movie

- i know tumblr has a bit of grudge against action but for me action is one of the reasons marvel has me by the throat and all the action sequences in this movie fuckig delivered

- bruce!! oh bruce, i love him, and it was interesting to see him battle with the hulk’s will and personality that was developed in ragnarok

- the return to wakanda was incredible but oh t’challa ;; okoye continued to be incredible and i loved the fight w/ her, natasha and wanda w/ thanos’ kid - prima or smth??

- speaking of the children of thanos, i thought they were all rly well done and worked well as “minor baddies” to keep up the momentum of the plot

- re: the plot, i didn’t go in expecting it to be mindblowing and it wasn’t lmao but neither was it terrible?? or even bad - i think it served its purpose well and tbh plot’s not rly why i’m there lmao

- the majority of the humour landed well for me??? i wasn’t Laughing At Every Joke but neither did i overtly cringe at anything?? i don’t think and it didn’t feel oversaturated (in the context of a marvel movie, anyway) and i’m thankful that the majority of dramatic moments were allowed to be Dramatic

- also!! thank fuck for this movie having a goddamn rich colour palette and proving that “darker” movies don’t have to actually be ridiculously dark and exist in shades of varying greenish grayscale

- the fucking. moon thing. what the fuck - in general that fight between thanos and tony had me holding my goddam breath and when tony was stabbed i was ready to say my goodbyes fucksksk gOD this movie messed me tf up - also thanos saying ‘stark’ and tony saying ‘my curse is you’ to thanos like???? what the actual fuck???

- like tony being set up as Very Important to that 1 in 14.65m timeline where they win has me so excited but also so very fucking worried l mao

- structurally, i always knew it was gonna be a bit of mess but i honestly hardly even noticed (tho i guess we’ll see my thoughts on a second viewing) and faired pretty well considering the behemoth that is it in terms of characters and story - and i’ve definitely been noticing editing in films a lot lately but the editing here held up relatively well (to my eye)

- all the performances were top goddamn notch tbh 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

- i honestly don’t even know what else i’m sure there’s more but these are my initial thoughts at 3am :’))
