Need this to happen to me
We accidentally left your boyfriend out in the sun too long and he melted sorry. Yeah and he also got vaporized into a gas and we tried to trap him in a microwave before he became one with the clouds but it ended up getting ionized into a plasma because the microwave was solar powered for some reason. and then later they deionized into a gas and we panicked and they got deposited directly into some type of new crystalline form and anyways shes your girlfriend now. sorry.

Danny spontaneously develops a new power but it happens in human form so he like,, calls down lightning or a comet or whatever on some hapless ghost or whatever and he’s just like ‘huh I didn’t know I could do that haha neat’ and continues on with his day meanwhile the people who just witnessed Danny Fenton’s apparent superpowers are Sweating
Some ghosts got on Danny's nerves more than others. In the same vein, some humans got on Danny's nerves more than others. When those two groups intersected, Danny got a little... tetchy.
At the moment, he was more than a little tetchy.
The Box Ghost and Youngblood had decided to team up, although that was probably overstating the situation. It looked like Youngblood had prodded Box Ghost into attacking Amity Park at the same time as him. The problem was, no one was afraid of the Box Ghost. Not really. The Box Ghost was basically harmless. Mr. Lancer could drive him off with a rolled up newspaper.
On the other hand, Youngblood was a threat. Youngblood was a threat, and only about half of Danny's classmates could see him. Certainly, none of the staff could. So, half of the students were convinced that the mayhem was all Box Ghost, and the other half thought that if the teachers and everyone else weren't afraid of Youngblood, he wasn't something they should be afraid of, either.
So! They were all there! Staring! Standing! Keeping Danny from going somewhere to transform! Because they were in the middle of the football field! For some sort of activity Danny hadn't payed attention to! Because Youngblood was the single most distracting things in the entire universe!
And unless Danny could do something about it, someone was going to get hurt. Youngblood had no limits on his pranks, and pranks without limits were indistinguishable from assassination attempts. Or something like that.
Although, at the moment, the only prank he was playing was 'got your nose.' Repeatedly. With only Danny.
... Maybe Danny was overstating the danger level here. And his inability to get away to transform.
Still, Danny didn't want to be known as the only guy who still ran from the Box Ghost. Everyone thought he was a wimp and a coward already. That would just cement his reputation. Forever. At least with the half of the class that fancied itself all grown up.
And maybe the fact the he still cared about his reputation explained why he could still see Youngblood. Whatever.
"Hey, hey, hey," said Youngblood, dipping back into Danny's view as Mr. Lancer attempted to herd the Box Ghost off the field. "Guess what, guess what, guess what--"
"I AM THE BOX GHOST! FEAR ME AND OBEY! I WILL NOT VACATE THE PREMISES UNTIL I RECEIVE MY TRIBUTE OF BOXES, SQUARE AND--"
"Guess what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna sing the song that never ends. It gOES ON AND ON--"
Danny took a deep breath. It was meant to be a calming breath. It was not.
"SHUT. UP!"
A tongue of light forked down from the admittedly cloudy sky, licking towards both the Box Ghost and Youngblood. It burned green when it hit them, leaving bright, ectoplasmic imprints on the back of Danny's eyes.
"You're no fun!" said Youngblood, much quieter than before. "I'm going home!"
"The Box Ghost will retreat... FOR NOW!"
Danny rubbed his eyes and sighed at the blessed silence.
Wait. Silence. That wasn't right. This place should be full of kids talking, at least. He looked up. Everyone was staring at him.
"Oh, huh, I didn’t know I could do that. Haha. Neat. Can we, uh. Get on with things?"
Very slowly, Mr. Lancer walked back into position and started his lecture again.

Danny assumed his parents would react badly to it being revealed that he’s a (half-)ghost, so after they saw him transform, he immediately booked it before they could get past their shock, not wanting to see their looks of hatred.
But they don’t react that way. They want to support him, he just ran away before they could tell him that.
So of course they go chasing after him so they can reassure him and bring him home!
Which Danny reacts to about as well can be expected, only increasing his frantic pace.
Thus, he ends up leading them on a wild goose chase across the country.
Maybe the GIW joins in on the chase too for extra chaos. Or heck, maybe even the League of Assassins, having noticed the Lazarus Water–like signature of ectoplasm!
Needless to say, this ends up leaving a trail of mayhem and headaches for any heroes they come across.
All over a misunderstanding.

JJ and DP
DP x DC Prompt (I haven't seen much of Joker Junior at all in these types of prompts, it was mentioned once in a fic where Danny was put in a Tim Clone made by Ra's by Beelzebub as a prank, so I decided to make my own)
Danny had been subjected to the horrors by the GIW after his parents gave him to them when they rejected him after he revealed his Ghost Half to them when he returned from managing the Infinite Realms as the Ghost King/Prince.
He doesn't remember much, just that Jazz somehow got the attention of the Justice League after Tucker got through the media blackout the GIW setup.
It was blur for Danny, he got saved, was taken to the Watchtower to heal, almost had a second death a few times, and was given options on who would take him in. From what he remembered during his talks with Jazz and his friends, Gotham had the second highest amount of Ambiant Ectoplasm to help him, so he chose Bruce Wayne, and if he was using his money to support the Justice League, he couldn't be a Fruitloop.
It took Danny a couple of days to figure out the secret of the Wayne's. He was shocked that the entire family was the Vigilantes of Gotham. He does have the brains to match Tim, but was held back by Heroing, school, and a lack of sleep to actually using his brain properly.
He does occasionally join the family on patrols but is more focused on his online schooling, as he still needs to heal some more.
And then something bad happens, something really bad. Joker had broken out of the new Arkham facility again and managed to capture both Tim and Danny as civilians during their outing together. Everything was fine, Joker talking to Batman, Batman doing his best to stall Joker while Cass and Damian sneak around them to free Tim and Danny. Then Joker pointed out that Batman was stalling and knew Cass and Damian were sneaking around to free his hostages (Haven't seen enough of a smart Joker in fics as well). He shocked both Tim and Danny with one of the triggers he had, and this caused them both to snap in different ways. Tim had reverted back to being Joker Junior, but not loyal to Joker at all. Danny, on the other hand, went Ghost and began attacking. He's in a blind state by the cause of remembering his death.
Joker was taken out, either permanently crippled or dead, by Danny, who was directed by JJ Tim, and now those two are out and about, causing mayhem wherever they go as a pair. The family needs to get to them and subdue them to get them back to their senses again.

Headcanons for how Danny acts after the reveal!
•Uses his ghost abilities both in fights and casually now
•Think making drinks or areas colder to cool the others down, turning them intangible when it rains, using his tolerance to the cold to his advantage and becomes the one to go get something during a blizzard, and flying instead of walking sometimes (he’d be up for giving piggyback rides if the others are tired)
•Definitely messes with them by using ghost speak, the looks on their faces are just too good
•They try to figure it out, even though it literally can’t be understood by anything lacking a core, but Danny’s not that mean (most of the time) and tries to make sounds like chirps and hisses when he’s stuck using ghost speak, sounds that they can associate with emotions and figure things out from there
•Nicknames like “ghost boy”, “ghost kid”, and “spooks” aren’t new to him, so he doesn’t mind them as long as they’re not used in a condescending or rude way
•Introduces them to Orbit (which leads to him explaining how some ghosts feed on negative emotions, some eat positive, and others both, but all can “taste” emotions)
•Orbit now stays outside more, but Danny is still his favorite
•He definitely possesses monsters for the fun of it, both in fights and to cause mayhem among a group of bokoblins
•Poor Wild, no one believed him when he said Danny possessed three bokoblins and made them fight their group so they could watch the chaos unfold
•Danny is not immune to pulling pranks when he’s been pranked
•Sometimes his ghost abilities and such can make some of the others feel uneasy, and he feels bad for it
•Dark jokes, dark jokes everywhere!
•”What a time to be half alive and sarcastic!”
•”Don’t you mean just “alive”?”
•”Did I stutter?”
•Okay, maybe not everywhere because not everyone likes dark jokes and a good comedian or jokester always needs to keep that in mind
•Poes especially are getting dropkicked left and right
•After explaining how dangerous ectoplasm can be to the living, a new rule is developed; “Only Danny is allowed to handle ectoplasm, and by extension, ectoplasmic entities unless he declares it safe”
•If Danielle is there, he starts teaching and training her more openly, and the two sometimes race (Danny always wins, his top speed is twice Danielle’s)
•Going invisible out of reflex when he’s startled becomes something of a normal thing

Or!
Here's a thought. Luigi goes into Boo form but loses any defining "physical" characteristics. (Or maybe we, as the game players, are the only ones who can see Luigi's distinct physical characteristics as a Boo). At some point, Kind Boo (having escaped E. Gadd's lab yet again) recalls all the Boos back to whatever he's using as a lair these days (nights) and starts making plans for his next incursion.
Luigi ends up with all the Boos, having to go undercover, as it were, to protect himself because if any of them figured out his was Luigi and not just some random, footsolider Boo, he'd be in for a bad time, to say the least.
So he does whatever menial tasks he's assigned. Maybe has to go out and haunt someone or even hurt someone to maintain his cover. He begins to form his own plan as to how he can escape, how he can use this form to take King Boo down from the inside for good.
But then - of course - something happens. Maybe Luigi's caught trying to sabotage one King Boo's artifacts, and at first, he's treated like any other Boo traitor until something slips and maybe it's Luigi's recognition or reaction to an image of his brother and King Boo, being no fool, puts two and two together.
And oh, King Boo grins, long tongue dripping ectoplasm. I will enjoy every last subtle flavor of this drawn-out vengeance.
You see, King Boo has a certain interest in artifacts that allow for a degree of possession of the body and mind, that amplify an ability already present in the higher forms of Boo. And King Boo himself doesn't want to possess that dirty once-human ghost, doesn't want any inch of his translucent shimmer to be dulled by the banal thoughts and tedious emotions he knows are still brimming in the transformed plumber.
But what he can do is control Luigi's actions. He can make him do what he wants, puppeteer him to violence and mayhem. And while he can't coerce the physical Luigi's body into action (his physical form hidden somewhere between dimensions as part of the Boo-transformation), he can force Boo!Luigi to possess other bodies and carry out whatever impulse strikes King Boo's bloody whimsy.
And all this while Luigi's consciousness sits trapped, a prisoner observer, unable to do anything but watch as he commits growing numbers of atrocities, of course building to acts against the E. Gadd, the Mushroom Kingdom, and....his brother.
Now, meanwhile.
Luigi's physical form is in some liminal, dimensional pocket. And a certain someone who is a master of dimensions and not quite fully dead due to Chaos Heart shenanigans happens upon said body.
Well, this could be amusing, could it not?
Eventually Dimentio wants Luigi's soul back in his body because whatever shards of the Chaos Heart still live are embedded in both his body and metaphysical presence. And Dimentio, being somewhat obsessed with Luigi, wants to take his final bow with him, to dance their last dance in the blackened, charred stars at the end of the universe. In this version of events, Dimentio has just enough of his magic left to allow his fragments of the Chaos Heart to "speak" to the fragments in Luigi's body. While he can't fully inhabit Luigi's body, he can exist partially inside of him, half of Dimentio in Luigi's cells and the other half watching from the outside. If he can track down Luigi's soul and subconscious, they can finally fulfill their destinies together.
And...on the way, why not have some fun? He so longs for entertainment, and instigating a bit of chaos using Luigi's face? Well, who would he be to pass up such a tantalizing opportunity, to travel the world like a wolf in the sheep's clothing?
The Boo transformation is tricky, unstable magic. A quirk of Luigi's change into a Boo and King Boo's subsequent control over Luigi's ghostly form is that Luigi (the conscious Luigi trapped in his Boo body) - is unable to sleep. Which raises some interesting ideas about the nature of subconscious and if dreams can exist beyond our internal awareness.
Well, we know, from a certain series of events in the Pi'illo Kingdom - they kind of can. Cue Antasma, who is skulking around the dream realm after his defeat. And isn't strange, this cloud of what looks to be a dream portal, but one that is misshapen, that seems to be untethered in a way no other dream has that he has encountered before. He's curious. Perhaps it will lead to a solution to his current dilemma, a way out of his dreamy imprisonment.
Imagine Antasma's surprise when he steps into Luigi's dream world. This insignificant insect of a man managed to thwart his plans through the power of his dreamscape. And now here it is, empty of its main character, but Antasma can feel the vibrations of potential in this world, the way Luigi's unfettered subconscious can cross that threshold between imagination and reality, can act as a conduit, a transport into the dreams of others, which, in turn, can lead him back to the land of the living.
He just needs to find Luigi's conscious mind and meld the two back together.
So, my friends. Imagine our triumverate of doom. King Boo in posession of Luigi's ghostly form, Luigi's conscious mind prisoner and audience to a deliberate set of atrocities. Dimentio pupeteering Luigi's body, causing chaos in his name, all while exploiting their connection with the Chaos Heart. And finally, Antasma taking the wheel of Luigi's cut-off subconscious, occupying and shaping his dreams and nightmares.
What will our villainous trio do when confronted with each other? What will they learn about our hero through the exploration of mind, body, and soul? Who will emerge victorious? And how many heart attacks will Mario have once he cottons on to what is going on?
And, of course, how will Luigi, in all of his forms - deal with this?
Oh man, I just had this thought about the Mario Wonder game. We saw that the gang has the ability (or curse?) to turn into ghosts (or Boos, really). And now I can't get the idea out of my head of Luigi having to Poltergust his own brother in ghost form for...angsty reasons.

Afterimage Danny Phantom AU
This au takes ghosts being more of an ectoplasmic after-shadow a little too seriously. If someone else has come up with a similar au, so sorry I'd love to see it.
Basically, when Danny died a ghost version of him was created, while the human remained fully alive and normal. Danny, Sam and Tucker didn't see this, and just rush the breathing boy to a hospital. Ghost Danny is Danny, just one that died when the portal opened. For a while it becomes a bit of a No One Knows AU, except not even Fenton knows.
Phantom is exactly the same as in the show, but Fenton, having only seen ghosts cause mayhem, joins up with his parents. He is much more competent, and actually helps take down a lot of rogues. Sam and Tucker are a bit more removed from the ghost hunting in this au, they help sometimes, but don't understand his obsession. The problem is that he has absolutely no trust in Phantom. Phantom doesn't turn to his living self for help out of both fear and utter jealousy. Fenton got to keep his friends, family, and life. Phantom was dead.
The two are still slightly connected, though they originally don't know. Fenton doesn't find out for a long while. They can be affected by certain kinds of things that happen to the other, and by major injuries.
Then Spectra happens. Jazz learns about ghosts and the existence of Phantom when he saves her life from Bertrand. He frets over her, and worriedly asks if she's alright. It sparks something in the back of her mind. Her immediate thought is not that this is a dead version of her brother, but he does remind her of him.
She's never trusted her parents methods in the first place. She may now know that ghosts are real, but that doesn't mean their approach about them had ever been scientific or appropriate. She sees her caring little bro in this hero, and she determines to help him.
Phantom turns to her for help and injuries, because Jazz was the one person he had every truly trusted before he died. She was the one that made sure he ate every day, and who comforted him when he got sick. She would love him, not matter what, but he couldn't tell her. She may have been willing to accept he was a good ghost, but not that he was her brother, when her brother was also sitting in the room over.
She figures him out after one too many slips. He's just a little too familiar, just a little too similar to Danny. What convinces her it actually is him is the way he reacts when she confronts him. If he had been a ghost taking traits from her brother to gain her trust, he wouldn't have denied it so much initially. He wouldn't have been so scared of her learning how her little brother had died. Of her learning how jealous and lonely he really was. He wouldn't have cried so hard at the new reality of someone recognizing him as Danny.
Additional Ideas:
At some point after Jazz figures it out, Danny has a breakdown in front of her about his reality. "Am I even Danny? Maybe Mom and Dad were right about ghosts just being imprints of a person's last thoughts. I'm not a complete person."
Jazz has to help him work through those doubts multiple times. She knows both Dannys well enough to be able to tell Phantom isn't a two-dimensional version of her brother. She essentially considers them her twin brothers.
Vlad actually is a halfa. He doesn't know who Phantom is, but they still become arch-nemeses because Phantom has to protect his family from his Maddie-obsessed plans.
Phantom has a little more support in the Ghost Zone, because he fully died and got a little more introduction to what being a ghost is.
Sam and Tucker start to trust Phantom long before Fenton does. They're a little more removed from Jack and Maddie's vitriol.
Danny takes Valerie's place as Vlad's personally funded ghost hunter.
Jazz and Danny Fenton's relationship takes a hit for a while, as they fall on opposite sides of the ghost debate. Much of Jazz's time is also taken by helping her superhero brother. They don't utterly fall out, as she's still the ultra-supportive and loving sister she always was.
Jazz is Liminal. Fenton isn't. This is because that excess ectoplasm got converted into Phantom. This is why Phantom is a completely whole version of him, more powerful and complex than the majority of ghosts.
This means Jazz is the one who has to be a little more careful around their parent's inventions, because she has had high contamination from conception. No one else is even close to her level of effected.
Fenton wearing the Spector Deflector affects Phantom. Not sure exactly how yet. Possibly makes him weaker?

Prompt #1
So Danny’s the Ghost King. High King of the Infinite Realms. (he doesn’t know this yet) Key word here being Infinite. Infinite possibilities. The Realms are mostly comprised of ectoplasm, which takes in emotions and produces “ghosts” but the thing is, there are so many ghosts and other sources of emotion in the Realms (what with it being Infinite and all) that the Realms have developed a sort of semi-consciousness. One that relies on the High Monarch to help hold it together. Becoming the High King... changes a being. The Realms aren’t going to just let their ruler die off, and provide far too much energy for them to ever actually fade. (there’s a reason Pariah Dark had to be locked away instead of something “easier”)
Danny lives his life. (if you want Disasteroid or not is your choice) His rogues get worse. slowly going from just ghosts to gaining living villains as well until eventually, all the ghosts he used to fight gradually stop (did he make friends with them? did they give up? something worse? you decide) and he’s left with only human villains. The living are a lot more violent, instead of fighting because of something to do with their Obsession, they fight and cause mayhem to spread chaos and fear.
One particularly nasty attack ends up with Danny fatally injured in his human form, unable to change back. He dies at the hands of a human villain. Or does he?
Danny Dies staring at the villain but feels a yank on his core just as he closes his eyes. The villain sees Danny close his eyes and is blinded by a blast of ecto-green lightning. when their vision clears Danny is gone, only a softly glowing circular Lichtenberg figure left on the floor in his wake.
Danny Wakes in the throne room of Pariah’s Keep, a place he hadn’t been since just after the old king was locked away again. Before his eyes the room begins to change, going from dark and threatening to something softer, something more Danny (space themed, of course) Once he’s got enough energy to stand, Danny walks over to one of the windows and in his reflection sees the Crown of Fire floating above his head.
Over time, Danny draws away from the living world he was born in, exploring the Realms and the many, many living worlds they link to.
After the first century, Danny gets restless and somehow (probably Clockwork tbh) figures out how to get himself reincarnated into one of the living worlds, locking away his memories and abilities until his death in this new life.
This becomes routine, every few centuries or so, Danny will pick a universe at random and throw his soul into an infant that would otherwise not have survived. gaining a new Living name, and going by Phantom to all but a select few in the Realms
Phantom’s newest name? Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth
Bane snaps his neck. Alfred Pennyworth dies. High King Phantom wakes up.

Today I got tired way earlier so this lil prompt was written while I was in bed at 3am. Please excuse my soupy brain and any errors I'm very sleepy.
--------------------------------------
So another hyperfixation I've had for a hot minute now is teenage mutant ninja turtles my two favorites being 2003 and Rise. Today we will be focusing on Rise :D
So the Fenton's end up in New York city. Maybe they move there for work, are going to some ghost con, or get worried about Danny's ecto contamination and move to get away from all the ambient ectoplasm. For this prompts sake let's go with the ambient ectoplasm excuse.
Eventually this ghost kid gets on (season one) Draxum's radar and he's fascinated by him. He's an excellent warrior and very mystically adept. So he decides he must get his hands on him to study and help improve his mutagen. So Danny gets kidnapped for the hundredth time. This time with terrible experiments. Or maybe just taking some of his ectoplasm.
This is about the same time the turtles have their first run in with him. They wreck the lab, save Mayhem and Danny, and do all of it clumsily. So Danny not really phased by mutant turtles cause really the large variety of ghosts has taken all the weird and supernatural surprises out of life decides to try and help and befriend the new fledgling vigilante's.
So we go down the timeline of wacky adventures adding some more ghostly mutant rouges and bonding time. This becomes like a rag tag lil found family and everyone gets to learn and grow from eachother and help eachother!
Also Donnie gets to play with ghost tech and learn all about the ghost zone which honestly leaves room for lots of chaotic inventions on his part.
All in all I just think this crossover would be neat. Also there's some decent angst possibilities with Shredder and The Krang.

Ancestral 4
Some of the ghosts flinched, straightened, or showed other signs of surprise when he greeted them.  The woman from before, the one with braids, pushed her way to the front and gestured at him, presenting him to the other ghosts.
But none of them said anything, or made any other sound, much less started to explain anything to Danny.
“So,” said Danny.  “Why are you all here?  Why are there so many of you?”
The ghosts looked at him.  They did a lot of that, didn’t they?
Finally, the woman with braids stepped forward and tapped her throat three times.  Deliberately, maintaining eye contact, she shook her head.
“You can’t speak?  None of you?”
The woman nodded, the rest of the ghosts following suit.
“Could you maybe… try?”  He winced.  “I mean, you usually can’t be seen, right?  Maybe I’ll be able to hear you, too.”
The woman sighed, exasperation exaggeratedly clear on her face.  She opened her mouth and closed it several times, her lips forming the shape of words.
“Okay,” said Danny.  “I guess not.  Maybe you could write something?”
The woman pointedly swiped her hand through the kitchen counter.
“I could hold a pen and you could move my hand?” suggested Danny, miming the action, one hand ‘holding a pen,’ the other ‘holding paper.’  He didn’t really want to do something like that.  Not for very long, anyway, but it would be better than mime.
The woman took a few quick steps forward, and put her hands on top of his.  She paused for a moment, and looked up at him, clearly surprised.  Then, she pushed down.  Danny couldn’t feel it at all.
“Sign language?”
The woman raised an eyebrow.
“Alright, I don’t know sign language, either,” admitted Danny, defeated.  Even if he did and they did, the ghosts here probably wouldn’t have used American Sign Language.  Or even, necessarily, a living sign language.  “Charades it is.  If you can tell me why you’re all here, I’ll try to figure out a way to help you out.”
Assuming, that was, that what they were here for wasn’t murder and mayhem.  Then, the only thing that Danny would be helping them out of was the living world.  Not in the sense that he was going to kill them, but in the sense that he’d be sending them back to the Ghost Zone.  Somehow.  All several hundred of them.  Across an ocean from where the portal was.
At least he had the thermos?
The woman gave him a small smile.  It was probably reading too much into it to interpret it as hopeful.
She turned away, and made a separating motion with her hands.  The ghosts cleared a path, and she led Danny through it, to a door.  Danny followed, a touch of ectoplasm tingling his fingertips, just in case.
The door led to a large, formal dining room.  There were pictures on the wall, family pictures.  Danny felt his breath catch in his throat as he saw one with him and Jasmine in it, sitting among the rest of the ‘kids’ of the family.  Vivian, Lewis, Leo, Iris, George, and Eugene.  He remembered Martin taking that picture, just a couple years ago.
He looked around at the rest of the pictures.  There was one Fenton family portrait after that, and a few scattered photos of Maddie and Alicia from when they were younger.  Of the others, most of the others were of Martin’s immediate family.  His parents, Theodore and Cathrine.  His brother, William.  His sister-in-law, Sophia.  His nieces and nephews, Vivian, Lewis, and Leo.  The rest were of Danny’s other cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents, great grandparents.  All of them in casual clothing, in casual settings.
It… hurt.  Martin must have done the decorating, or at least decided which pictures would be included.
Danny couldn’t believe he was dead.
The ghost woman flitted from picture to picture, pointing at people in them.  Martin, William, Theodore, Isabella, Alfred–
“Something about the– my– the people who died,” said Danny.  The woman nodded sharply.  “Did you–  Do you know what killed them?  Do you know why?”
The woman raised a hand and tilted it back and forth.
“Kind of.”
She shrugged.
“So, you know what killed them?”
Another hand wiggle.
“You know why they were killed?”
A sharp nod.
“Was it murder?”
The ghosts around them bared their teeth in a dozen silent snarls.  Danny understood the impulse.
The woman nodded.
Well, it wasn’t as if Danny hadn’t expected it, but the information came as a blow.  He let himself close his eyes for a moment to regather himself, a necessary habit when strong anger made your eyes glow green.
Someone was trying to kill his family.  Someone had killed his family.
Well.  Turnabout was fair play.
“Do you know who did it?” Danny asked.
The woman nodded, then touched her mouth and shook her head, then shrugged.
“You know, but you don’t know how to tell me?”
The woman tilted her hand from side to side again.  Kind of.
“Okay, maybe I can just go through letters, and you can tell me when to–”
The woman was shaking her head vigorously.  She held her hand up, fingers splayed, and then brought them together.  Then, she held up both hands and lowered and raised her fingers several times.
Danny glared at her hands, stumped and frustrated.  She repeated the motion, then threw back her head in a display of frustration that echoed what Danny was feeling.  She strode over to the other ghosts and gathered up a group of them.  She made an open-handed motion at them, then another as if lassoing them together, then that earlier motion, of raising and lowering fingers.
“There’s more than one.  It’s a group.”
The woman snapped her fingers - there was no sound, of course - and nodded.
“But do you know who they are?”
Shuffling.  Some nods, some shrugs, some shaken heads.
“Could you point them out to me?” asked Danny.
The woman shrugged.
Danny pulled a chair out from the dining room table and sat down.  “Do you at least know some of them?”
Nods.
“Okay, I can work with that,” said Danny.  “But… why are all of you here?  Were you killed by these same guys?”
The woman laughed, soundlessly, pointed at herself, and shook her head.  A moment later, her clothing rippled, shifting from something fairly modern to something a viking woman might have worn.  A long smock dress with a strap dress over it, a belt, a cloak, and brooches and beads tying it all together.  Golden clasps glittered in her hair.
She looked familiar like this.  Like someone Danny had seen in a picture somewhere, once.  He frowned trying to think of where, and only stopped when he noticed her frowning back at him.
“Sorry,” he said.  “Just thinking about about something.  So… You’ve been around for a while?  Viking times?”
The woman made the ‘kind of’ signal again.
“Can you - Do you know the year?  I know the calendars changed, but…”
The woman held up nine fingers, then three, then two, then signed ‘kind of’ again.
“That’s a long time,” said Danny.  “But, then what do you get out of this?  What do any of you get out of this?”
The woman walked across the room, straight through the table, and pointed at another picture.  It was of a young William and Sophia sitting on a picnic blanket in the middle of a flowery field, but Kyr Argyn was clearly visible in the background, and that was what the woman was pointing at.
“Under the castle… is it related to what happened to my grandparents?  Or are you buried there or something?”
The woman froze, then nodded, once, twice.
“Is it… for you, specifically, just that you saw… whatever happened to my grandfather?  To Prince Leon?”  That didn’t explain all the other ghosts, or why they were ghosts in the first place, but it would make sense as a motivation for the woman.  If someone had been murdered on top of his grave, he’d want to do something about it, too.
The woman’s face twisted up, as if she were trying to figure out what, exactly, to say, and how to say it, but then all the ghosts went stiff and turned to face the door.  Danny felt it, too.  An approach.  A newness.  Mist dribbled sluggishly from his lips.
He stood, turning as he did so to face the dining room door.  Vivian was standing there, her face pale.  Right next to her, on the wall near the door, was a photo of her, and it struck Danny that she was dressed just like she was in the photo - business casual, large colorful barrettes, the lesser seal and key on the bracelet on her wrist.
The expression she wore now couldn’t be more different, though.  In the photograph, Vivian was laughing.  Here, in the dining room, her face was twisted with despair.
Danny saw her mouth the words oh, ancestors, but she didn’t say anything out loud.  She couldn’t.
After all, Vivian was quite dead.

I had a Danny Phantom universe I created when I was young and I am so ashamed of myself, but I will be ranting about it right now as I missed Ectober and I am mad. Next year, I shall be doing it.
- This takes place years into the future of the show, about 150+ years. Amity Park is a big city and booming. They’re integrated more with ghosts and have a lot of ghost related technology. They are now coexisting with them as Danny bridged the gap between the two worlds.
- Amity Park is a fast paced city now, filled with lots of chains and tourism. A lot of the old ghosts are retired and hang around still, just chilling. Young, harmless ghosts are able to visit the human areas like malls or schools. The rouge ones cause mayhem, but the new GIW is there to take care of them.
- Danny Phantom has become more of a myth, but his legacy and legends live on. The top 3 families are the Fentons, Masons, and Foleys. The Fenton family created the technology used in Amity Square and been said to be related to Danny Phantom. The Mason family invested into this, making them even more richer. The Foley family works with the Fenton family, invested into them, and is big on the political field.
Getting this out of the way, ghost marriages and halfas are a bit more common. The Fentons (including Dani) and the Masters are the ones who can procreate with pure ghosts as their bloodline now has the ghost gene. Even though a pure human and ghost cannot have biological kids, it is common for the two to get married
Some halfas choose to stay in their ghostly forms. The GIW don’t really appreciate this. Some other halfas like to manipulate their features to suit their own style. Other halfas cannot control their ghostly parts such as white hair or eye color. While some are like Danny where they can have two separate form, others have a mix of the two. Common physical features shown are the echoed voice, white hair, green eyes, grey skin, and many others that will be shown.
Some halfas were shunned for their ghostly parts. It is common for human parents of halfas to disown them or throw them away. A society of halfas decided to live in the Ghost Zone, where their bodies take even longer to age. Being in the normal world gets halfas more in touch with their human side, which allows them to age normally while in the Ghost Zone infuses more ectoplasm with their core, which slows down their aging process.
Halfas that live in the Ghost Zone are no different than a normal Ghost except they do not have a true obsession. If halfas stay in the Ghost Zone for too long, they can gain physical characteristics they didn’t have before such as pure white hair or blue skin. It’s more common for halfas who live in the Ghost Zone to have two forms, unlike ones who live on Earth. They also have an easier time disguising themselves or manipulating their physical appearance.

fallen star, ghost farm
i know i didnt use any of your prompts for this mystyrust but its a continuation of your prompts i filled last year so im tagging you anyways
Star cried as she was stuck with a needle. The feeling of ectoplasm burning through her veins. Agent Z looked so happy as he pulled the needle back out, bidding her farewell.
She felt so sick, she didn’t know how much longer she’d be able to last for. She didn’t want to die, but she wished more than anything that this would all be over soon.
Star’s ghost ripped itself from her body as she screamed, shining brighter than any of the stars she could see in Amity Park’s night sky. She remembered what Agent Z’s face looked like as she picked him up and started throwing him around inside her room. The memory forever seared into her mind.
Then suddenly, she was falling. She had just died and yet she was still in so much pain. What would it take for this to all be over?
It wasn’t until Phantom showed up. A month after she had been taken, after so many of her friends and classmates had been taken. As soon as Danny Fenton showed up, Phantom wasn’t far behind.
When Phantom came up to her after everything was done, she could see everything. He wasn’t just a ghost feeding his obsession. He was just a kid protecting a whole town of people who didn’t like him. Both halves of him.
Her eyes filled with tears and she wept.
QQQQQ
It's been quiet ever since Phantom discovered the secret GIW facility.
All the ghosts who would attack Amity Park on the regular haven't shown up in over a month. They were horrified by the actions of the ghost hunters that claimed to be doing this for the good of their fellow humans. While the ghosts loved causing mayhem and destruction, they’d never stoop to that level. They knew what it was like to die.
So when those kids died as they were being experimented on, they all agreed to give them time to adjust and process the trauma they had been through.
Star almost wished that everything was just the same as before she had died though.
Not only were the ghosts treating them like they were helpless even though they were on equal footing now, but all of the humans that recognized the teenagers from when they were alive were acting like they were walking on eggshells. They weren’t sure what to make of them.
Sure, the ghosts had stopped attacking and none of the kids who died had made a move yet, but it was as if they were expected to start attacking at the drop of a pin. That they were supposed to be monsters now.
She didn’t know what they were supposed to do.
Star stared out across Amity Park from where she sat on top of a tall building. She heard a rustle to her left and when she turned Phantom was sitting next to her.
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
They sat there, a pause of silence. Phantom swung his legs over the side of the building.
“So… How’s it going?”
Star gave him a look. Phantom held his hands up in a placating motion.
“I’m just wondering. You haven’t come to any of the after school meetings that me and Lancer set up. We just wanted to check in and see how you were doing. Paulina too.”
Star curled further into herself at the mention of her best friend. “I shouldn’t be anywhere near the school. I’m a monster now.”
Phantom scoffed. “Are you kidding? You’re the most human looking ghost I’ve ever met. Except for your stardust though.” He gestured at the sparkly dust that was constantly falling off of her.
“I’m a ghost.”
“Yeah?” Phantom said, raising an eyebrow. “What’s that got to do with anything?”
“I killed a man.” She snapped back at him.
He sighed. “I know. And I know you feel awful. But that man. He was an awful man. You were doing what you had to to protect yourself. No one is holding that against you.”
“I had already died. What else was there to protect anymore?”
“Look.” Phantom said. “Whether or not you’re a ghost or human doesn't decide how good or bad you are. Protecting yourself as a ghost is just as important as protecting yourself as a human. It doesn’t matter what you were when there were people doing awful things to you.”
Star’s eyes welled up with tears. “But everybody looks at me like I’m a monster.” She hid her face behind her knees. “My parents looked like they didn’t even recognize me. They mourned the fact that I died but it was like they didn’t really think it was still me here with them.”
Phantom rested his hand on her shoulder and she turned to look at him.
“How do you do it?”
He had a quizzical look on his face. “Do what?”
“Live with the fact that everyone thinks you're some evil ghost that’s manipulating the whole town. Especially your parents.”
He rubbed the back of his neck. “I don’t know.” He looked up at the sky. “I guess it helps that no one knows it’s me. They just think I’m some random ghost that came out of the zone.”
He sighed. “I’ve seen timelines where my parents accept me for who I am, but I’ve also seen timelines where they don’t. It makes it hard because I don’t really know how things are going to go, but I want to have faith that my parents' love for me is stronger than their hatred for ghosts.”
“What if it’s not though? What if my parents always hate what I’ve become?”
“They just need time to grapple with your death. The whole town does.” He looked back at Star. “I don’t think any of the townsfolk really thought about how the whole ghost thing meant that the ghosts had to die. It’s a lot to take in.”
“I guess.” Star looked up at the sky and they sat there in silence for a bit.
Then Phantom was standing up. “Well, I gotta run. I have to go home and do my homework.” He groaned. Phantom turned to go, but before he flew around he turned his head to look back at Star. “And think about coming to those after school meetings. Everyone really wants to see you.”
“I’ll think about it.” Star whispered.
Phantom smiled and waved. “See you!” He shot into the sky.
“See you.”
QQQQQ
Star stood outside of room 202. Her legs felt like jelly but she needed to do this.
She took a deep breath, turned the door handle, and pushed the door open.
Inside the room she saw Mikey, Dale, Sarah, Dash. A lot of the underclassmen were there too but she didn’t know many of their names. Lancer and Phantom were in the corner having a hushed conversation with Sam. The kids around them were goofing off though, showing displays of their new ghost powers.
Star balled her hands into fists. They weren’t supposed to have ghost powers. They were only like this because of what those terrible men did to them. This was too much. She didn’t know if she would be able to-
“Star!”
The panicked thoughts racing through Star’s head stopped. Her eyes focused back in and they darted to Paulina who was running up to her.
Paulina almost bowled her over with a big hug, sending a big puff of stardust flying.
“Where have you been? I’ve missed you so much! Everyone’s been wondering when you were going to come!”
Star smiled softly and wrapped her arms around Paulina. “Heh… Sorry. I was dealing with stuff.”
Paulina pulled away, her hands still resting on Stars shoulders, and she looked down at herself. “And what is this? Is it glitter? It looks really pretty!”
Star chuckled. “Phantom calls it my stardust.”
“Ohhh.” Paulina said. “That’s a very good description for it actually.” Paulina let go of Star’s shoulder and she grabbed onto one of her hands. “Now come on. Everyone wants to know how you’re doing.”
Paulina dragged her over to the group of kids, all who gave her a very warm greeting. When Dash walked up to her she was engulfed in a bear hug. When he set her down she looked past him and made eye contact with Phantom. He smiled at her.
It would take some time for the town to come to terms with what happened, but Star had people who understood her and who were there to support her.
Maybe that would be enough for now.

Shoto x reader - The renegade
Tumblr media
Quirks: air manipulation and black fire
Meaning: air manipulation allows you to manipulate the air however you want, including drawing it from nearby living things. Black flames allow you to encase your whole body with extremely hot flames that’ll burn anything upon touch
Sitting on the lamppost, you swung one of your legs back and forth, good pulled up tight as you looked at the traffic below you.
“You know, normal people don’t sit on lampposts during traffic jams.”
You smirked at the voice, flicking your eyes to the man stood below you.
“Well, I’m not normal people, am I Dabi?”
He rolled his eyes, stuffing his hands into his pockets, he leant against the metal, looking at the endless stream of vechals that just seemed to stretch for days.
“Why’re you here anyways?” You asked, “shouldn’t one such as yourself be careful of heroes.”
“I could say the same for you renegade, there’s talk hah UA are still trying to get you back.”
“They try and try, it’s rather pointless honestly. If I was going to go back I definitely would have by now.”
“Then come with me, join the league of villains.”
You yawned, jumping from the light, you landed on just above the floor, standing on a small ball of air that stirred up the dirt on the ground.
“Why not, it’ll give you a cause.”
“Your cause is following a deranged blue haired man with the mentality of a child who wants to kill an old man. That’s kind of boring if you ask me.”
“Alright, Fine. What’s your cause then?” He snapped.
You shrugged your shoulder, giving him a little grin.
“Not sure yet, I just enjoy causing mayhem, chaos, it’s fun. Plus you can’t say it doesn’t help you guys.”
He growled and folded his arms across his chest.
“Yeah whatever. You’re just wasting time, they’re going to catch you eventually and unless you’re with us we won’t help you.”
“That’s Fine by me, I enjoy living by my own rules. You can’t say that you don’t either Dabi, I’ve seen you in action, you thrive if it. If you want to live a life free of chains given to you by someone else, find me.”
You winked at him and jumped into the air, making a path with the air currents, you walked in the sky, aimlessly wondering about.
UA was up ahead, no matter where you were, you could always see it.
A mischievous grin spread across your face, you pushed yourself over their using your quirk, and stood right above the school.
No doubt people could see you, it was the middle of the day after all. Crouching, you peered down, finding your old class stood outside.
You jumped, lowering yourself to a good 1 feet of the ground behind them, and because their backs were turnt both Aizawa and All Might didn’t see you.
“Oh this looks fun, what’re we studying?” You snickered.
Everyone jumped, quickly moving from under you. The two teachers immediately rushed in front of their students, you also watched Iida rush away.
“Aw, Iida is off to get help, that’s so boring!” You whined.
“Hey villain asshole what the fuck are you doing here?!”
“Heya Kacchan~” you sang.
The angry blond went to charge ou but was quickly helped back by Kirishima and Kamanari.
“(L/N) why’re you here?” Aizawa snapped.
His quirk was activated, making you fall to the floor, but you more than easily rolled and jumped back up, boucing on the balls of your feet.
“I was bored~” you hummed, “plus that isn’t my name Mr Aizawa, say my actual name.”
“Young (L/N) we can always accept you back, give you the help and support you need.” All Might said.
You narrowed your eyes at him, growling slightly.
“Stop calling me by that name.” You warned, “that’s the name of a weak person.”
You watched Iida came back out with Present Mic, Midnight, Ectoplasm, Cementoss, and Nezu.
Stretching, you gave them all a wild grin, fire ignating your arms, covering them in pure black flames.
“You can erase one quirk, but only one at a time, Aizawa, you’ll have to do better.”
“Why are you here renegade?” Nezu asked politely, “unless you have decided to come back before it’s too late you are not welcome on this site.”
“Well, that’s rather rude, don’t you think? Especially for a student you guys turned into a villain. Well, I wouldn’t quite say villain.”
“You are a villain.” Ectoplasm said.
“That’s such a broad term, I prefer morally incorrect, or mentally unstable, either works.”
You looked over everyone, your eyes lingering on a hetrochromic ones of your once loving boyfriend. They were filled with nothing but sadness, loss and regret.
It made your smile fall, you pulled down your hood, revealing a large healing scar going right across your left eye.
Instantly everyone turned their gazes away from you, making you scoff.
“C’mon, look at what you’ve done. Especially you two Aizawa and All Might. Look at my face.”
You put your flames out, stuffing your hands into your hoodie pockets, you tilted your head a little to one side.
“Does it upset you see my face?” You asked.
No one responded, but Todoroki stepped forward. He stood next to Aizawa, not wanting to go any further.
“Please stop this (Y/N), it wasn’t their fault what happened to you.”
“So it was my fault?” You snapped.
“No, I’m not saying it was. Because it wasn’t, it was the fault of the villain, they’re the one who did this. This isn’t who you are, please just stop and come back.”
You narrowed your eyes a little, curling your lips into a snarl.
“But it is their fault, don’t you remember how many times Aizawa said I’d never make it as a hero with my lack of control, or when Bakugo would call me a villain?”
You stared them all down, pulling a photo out of your pocket it was you and the class including the teachers, all smiling brightly.
“Do you know how I even got this scar Shoto?”
He shook his head, and you smiled sadly before it curled into another snarl, your flames ate at the picture as you tossed it into the air.
“Tell them All Might, tell them how you chose to save Deku over me. Tell them how you walked away from a student crying for help as a villain stood over them, how you turned your back in them to go protect someone who wasn’t even near the fight. I don’t blame Deku though, he didn’t force you to do this.”
“Young (L/N) I apologise for what happened, I know that can’t change what’s been done, but I acted on pure impulse, and it was the wrong choice.”
“Shut the fuck up.” You scoffed, “I don’t care what you have to say. The only teachers here I wouldn’t gladly burn is Midnight, Cementoss and Present Mic. They at least tried to help me.”
It went dead silent, you scoffed but gave your love a smile, extending your hand in his direction.
“You see Shosho, these are the real villains, they did this to me. So come with me, please? I miss you, I want you to pick the right side.”
“This is the right side (Y/N), and deep down you know that.”
“Heroes think they’re above everyone else, they need to be toned down a notch.”
“You’re just angry, lets talk about this please?” Todoroki asked.
Shaking your head, you jumped up, pushing yourself into the air, you hovered out of their reach, throwing your hood back over your face.
“Do you know what a renegade is?”
“It’s someone who abandoned their cause or belief, right?” Deku asked.
“Correct my fluffy green haired friend. I’m a renegade, I don’t know what my new cause is, but believe me you’ll be seeing a lot more of this name.”
You turned to Todoroki, smiling softly down at him, you pulled something out from your pocket and dropped it down.
“I’ll try again later Shosho, I love you, okay? Please think about who’s side your one, just remember, heroes are the biggest monsters out there.”
With that, you quickly disappeared with a large gust of wind.
Todoroki held the object you dropped in his hands, he couldn’t stop staring at it. It made his heart hurt.
A picture of the pair of you smiling brightly just after the sports festival, not long before the attack that made you this way.
He stood there conflicted, he loved you, he wanted to help you, and he knew from personal experience some heroes could be monsters too.
But he wanted to be a hero, he wanted to help people, save them. But if it meant taking you down, he had no clue if he had it in him
