1963 , or thereabouts. Suspiciously clean Convoy drawbar rig with a Ford product load so mixed it's probably a publicity shot. Econoline minibus at the front, T-bird on the top deck, along with an unusual little flat bed at the back

Black Label Econoline Mod Team Deck

Width: 8" Length: 31.25" Wheelbase: 14.25"

First picture is the original I purchased to restore. I took the deck down to bare wood and repainted the graphic. I included the progress pictures and steps along the way.

My high level steps: 1. Sand down deck to remove scratches and entire painted/screened surface image 2. Use Wood putty to fill in deep scratches and build up the razored tail. 3. Paint entire deck base layer of white 4. Mask off black squares and paint black, using cutout masks for letters 5. Mask off red squares and paint red, using cutout masks for letters 6. Mask created and used for the Black Label flame graphic

I had to do some touch up as I did not allow paint to dry long enough between layers, but in the end, this is now a fresh graphic on an older deck, ready to be skated again.

A design study for a superbike racing team support vehicle, the Chicane was based on an E-350 powered by Ford's then-new 265hp, 6.8-litre V-10. The interior featured 4 captain's chairs, a rear-seat VCR player, and Siemens TetraStar navigation system. The rear compartment was separated from the main cabin by a bulkhead and was fitted with a fold-out workbench and tool chest
