I had been reading Echolands as individual digital issues, but it’s unique format—double page spreads in landscape/horizontal layout—made it tough to read on the iPad. I really liked it, but reading this collection of the first six issues is a revelation. I’m not sure I even care where the story is going, because the journey so far has been fascinating. And I love the mash-ups of genres and styles on each page; that’s a choice that could only have been made for comics.
