I Might've Killed My Poor Plants...
I dropped my pot the other day by accident trying to bring it inside to save it from the brutal rain and broke it and some of my poor plants are injured except my Calico Kitten...it's completely gone. I've got the survivors I found in a pot I was planning on putting some Kalanchoe propagations in now. I just hope they'll recover. I'm glad I took cuttings from the Tugela Cliff Kalanchoe that live with some baby Jade plants as a centerpiece on the table right now and the Haworthia might be okay because it's hardier. The little bit of the Echeveria I salvaged might survive too, but it doesn't look promising. THIS kind of thing is why I'm such a pessimist. My luck is terrible and nothing seems to turn out right for me. Of course my sister had no sympathy and called me names when I cried about it and claimed I blamed her when I didn't because she's mean. She should have to buy me a new Calico Kitten Crassula. I'm really mad about that because I liked that plant and it grew from seed, I didn't buy it like the TC Kala or the Haworthia my Mom bought for me. The Echeveria was free too, it came from a leaf my Mom planted.
At least my Flapjacks Kalanchoe and Millotii Kalanchoes are in different pots and they're all looking good. The Flapjacks is nice and pink and has a baby now and is growing another new set of leaves and the Millotiis are so big and fuzzy. I saw a few nice Panda Plant Kalanchoes at Wal-Mart with some big ruffled Echeverias but I didn't buy any, I have enough plants as it is and I've got Echeveria seeds I need to plant. I have pictures of my other Kalanchoes and the little Hedgehog Aloe that lives with the Flapjacks. That Aloe loves rainwater. They all do, but it seems to like it best.

Echeveria gibbiflora
This large-growing Echeveria species grows in the mountains near Mexico City and westward into Oaxaca. It is quite variable in leaf color and in the degree of waviness on the leaf edges. The plant pictured is from Santa Catarina Tlaxila, to the northwest of Oaxaca City, and its ruffled pink leaf edges are very appealing. Like other forms of the species, it is a large plant with a tall flower stalk in the fall and winter months.
