Hi my loves!

I am INCREDIBLY excited to announce the biggest and most exciting collaboration of my career so far! I have partnered up with Dark & Lovely and The Sims as part of the Play In Color Campaign! This collaboration is not just a venture; it's a movement toward greater diversity and inclusion within the gaming world.

I am beyond proud to be a part of this transformative initiative. This is more than just a partnership; it's a testament to what we can achieve when we focus on purposeful representation. I am feeling so motivated and empowered to continue to break barriers and create a more inclusive gaming universe for everyone.

My part in this campaign is the Dark & Lovely x Ebonix Hair Collection! I have created 6 hairstyles (plus some extra versions) all in Dark and Lovely colours free to download! All of these styles were made to showcase just how amazing the D&L shades look on locs, curls, silk presses and braids!

Laying in his dorm he reflects on life up to this point. The path it took to make it to college, along with the expectation from his mother that he plays basketball while also obtaining dual Master’s degrees in Business Management and Law. It always felt like a lot of pressure fulfilling his mother’s wishes, however he always responded best to those obligations.

Except the time his mother discovered he was skipping Physics class his junior year of high school because he was attracted to his teacher, Ms. Evans, and couldn’t control his body’s responses.

Or the time she asked him to open her art gallery and do a shift during the year’s biggest flea market, while she attended his little brother Magnus’ first play. His brother landed the lead role in Hansel and Gretel, and she didn’t want to miss it for anything. What did Rhys do instead? He snuck into Stargazer’s lounge with his best friend, Orlando Straton, to meet up with some women twice their age.

Rhys laughed at his last thought as his cell phone rang. By the sound of the ringtone, he immediately knew it was his mom.

Rhys: “Momma!”

Hope: “My son, how’s your Sunday?”

Rhys and his mother always spoke on the phone on Sundays. It was his only free day to wind down from his busy class and practice schedule.

Rhys: “It’s great momma.”

Hope: “Is your laundry done? Are you ahead on your studies? Did you do any yoga? Any paintings?”

Rhys: “Momma, which question you want answered fir-”

Hope cut Rhys off before he could finish his question. “Uh, cut the attitude son. I am making sure you are on top of things out there.” Rhys left home, Willow Creek, to attend college in Newcrest. It was the first time in years he had been away from his mother. Hope was still adjusting to her oldest son living two hours away.

Rhys: “Laundry isn’t done, I will do that today. I have read ahead on my studies. I haven’t felt inspired to paint, and my yoga class is later tonight.” He said rolling his eyes.

Hope: “Good job son. I am very proud of you.”

Rhys: “I know momma.”

Rhys could then hear Magnus grabbing Hope’s attention.

Hope: “Your brother wants to go swimming with his friends. Let me get to this, I love you Rhys.”

Rhys: “I love you too momma.”
