@eatmydxst Tessa pulls a bag over her shoulder and leaves the lab. It was rare she went home early but she didn't feel like staying. Her lab coat flaps in the breeze as her heels click against the sidewalk. Tess pauses to make sure she has her keys

“It wasn’t?” he asked, lifting his brows. The speedster kept his distance from her, though it was pleasant to see her in person once again. Yes, their relationship had ended, but he still admired her beauty and thought of her from time to time. And they had a daughter. A daughter who didn’t fully understand everything that was going on between them, but she was clever enough to know that the two didn’t seem to work together much anymore.

“Do you not remember how simple the times were when I was healing? When your sister allowed me to remain here with you? Things are no longer simple, and they quickly got complicated, but I do remember it all, Crys. Everything. The good and the bad.”  

She wasn’t trying to say that there wasn’t good. It certain;y had been good. She had loved him. Oh she had love him so very very much. But so many forces had always been pulling them apart. No matter how much they loved each other, honestly...they never stood a chance.

“Pietro...” She sighed, running a hand through her short hair. “Why bring all this up? Is everything alright?”
