I love to work on the more typical “assessment based” pre-school skills through nature play whenever I can both with my kids at work and with my own Sprouts. Here we simply used a stick and some good sized leaves to practice the fine motor skills of placing rings over a dowel, threading, and stringing. I find that working with nature items hold children’s interest much better than any store bought toy while creating calm and focus and while promoting creativity, even if it’s just in a sensory bin brought to a client’s daycare. #begoodstewards #earlyinterventionist #finemotorplay #finemotoractivity #natureplay #childdevelopment #eatlychildhooddevelopment #getoutdoors #lastchildinthewoods #1000hoursoutside #sensoryplay #sensorybin #kidsinnature #vitaminn (at Anderson, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBfluJWJHOa/?igshid=4qr8i8gsll89
