I made a longwinded rant on another creators post about ‘what will Christians do when they have no one to persecute ?’ It should be right after this posting on my site.

But, damn, I forgot some additional historical Christian v Christian sectarian violence

Such as…

When the papacy joined with the French speaking Viking Catholics (see next blog) Rome took the opportunity to sever ties in 1054 with the eastern branch of Catholicism & the eastern Roman Emperor both based in Constantinople.

At the same time the papacy decided it was no longer under the authority the western Roman Emperor who was based in Frankfurt.

Of course Catholic Europe then had two centuries of warfare to determine the answer to the burning question whether the Roman Emperor appointed the head of the Church or whether the Pope was elected by the Cardinals.

Plus

In addition to the Protestant Separatist Churches vs Catholic loyalist Church during the Reformation, the English Crown resumed the Part 1 G vs G issue by making the Crown the head of the Church and appointed of Archbishops.

And I forgot

If one is Evangelical or Catholic in the USA one understands that Evangelicals don’t consider Catholics to be Christians.

MTG has already fired the opening shot in that coming conflict:

Despite their disdain of Satanic Catholicism, the Evangelical Protestant sects base their vernacular language Bibles on the obviously bad translation including obviously deliberate changes that is the Catholic’s Latin Vulgate translation. Instead of basing vernacular bibles directly on the older Greek language Scriptures used by the Eastetn Orthodox Christian Churches.

But that would lead to yet another war.

Here’s one obvious change you can research when you are bored. Google ‘Mathew 25 46 Greek Koine to English’. Then compare that translation into English with any English language Catholic or Protestant Bible.

‘Eternal Damnation’ or an ‘Age of Correction’

Then see if you can find ANY Old Testament prophet or New Testament apostle who ever discusses ‘Eternal Damnation’

Can’t criticize. The Supreme Being didn’t mention Eternal Damnation either when expelling Adam & Eve, when drowning the world, when presenting the 10 Commandments.

Nor did any Church Father of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Centuries. Not intill Jerome’s Latin paraphrasing version.

Christian’s have aditopnal myriad of beliefs which are without Scriptural basis. But has NEVER stopped Christian’s persecuting each other or anyone they felt weren’t touting and acting out the official dogmatic Belief doctrines

Today their 150+ Christian denominations in the US. Each with its own dogmatic Belief doctrines.

What are your favourite movie featuring Yuen Biao ? Any good one where he's the lead ?

Of course! He’s the lead in The Prodigal Son and that is easily one of the top ten kung fu movies of all time (if you don’t mind some silly comedy here and there). Then there’s Knockabout; a true showcase of his skills. Acrobatic and otherwise.

He shares the lead in Dragons Forever but he absolutely shines at the end in the warehouse. Same with Eastetn Condors and Millionaire’s Express. He may not be top billed but his fight scenes are incredible.

If you’re looking for one you may have overlooked, pick up Kickboxer aka Once Upon a Chinese Hero. It’s a film no one seems to watch but I thoroughly enjoy it.

I wouldn't be surprised if "America first" (meaning only America, in effect) was a strategy by Putin to keep us in isolation. Why Putin's preferred candidate was Trump

It was obviously in Putin's best interests to keep America away from his intentions in Eastetn Europe.

Thankfully he failed ultimately. I only hope that America keeps realizing we have to be involved in the world and promote our values. Keep democratic friends. Not let authoritarians push their way to victory without us pushing back.

America is at its best when it's actually promoting and supporting freedom. (Not just as a pretext but genuinely.)

MIDNIGHT SAILING FROM HONG KONG...

A midnight sailing from Hong Kong is exhilarating, dramatic overkill. A series of hulking, floodlit skyscrapers crouch down at the water's edge. They stand in the shade of the ring of brooding, darkened mountains that embrace this most desired and enigmatic of Far Eastetn cities.

Multi coloured laser lights skewer the warm, muggy darkness like searchlight beams. Silent and serene, your ship shrugs off her ropes, and meanders at almost walking pace past this mesmerising, man made forest of concrete, glass and steel.

It's a uniquely splendid procession, and as auspicious a start to a voyage in these fabled, Far Eastern reaches as can be contemplated.

Perhaps only the leave taking of Manhattan at midnight by ship can serve up more of a platinum chip adrenaline surge. My recommendation would be to experience both, and decide for yourselves...

I recently did the 23 and Me thing, amd recently found out that I had a small amount of West African DNA. I wòas always told that I was of Eastetn European descent. And it was cool to find this out, but I literally have no connection with this part of my family's history. Is it bad to not know how to feel about this?

I was actually just having a conversation the other dayabout my own heritage and the longing I feel to understand it better. Mygrandmother provided me with a decent family tree, and, even though I knowwhere it is, there are other external factors that mean I will more than likelynever be able to visit the part of the world where her grandfather was born. Ialso have an additional balancing act in wanting to respect her wishes and notresearch too deeply that history.

I think it’s okay to feel like you don’t know how to feelabout it.  I mean there’s a statisticthat gets thrown around that the genetic variation between any two individualsis only 0.1% in humans. There’s not a lot of genetic diversity in our species,and, really, what we should be taking away from those tests is that we all morethan likely have a complex genetic history that brought us where we are today,but we’re also all pretty much the same. I also have questions… How small issmall? I, admittedly, have never gone through this ancestry DNA testing, but Iwould imagine if anyone goes back far enough, we all probably have some sort ofAfrican DNA. That’s kinda where human life began.

Specifically, having a small percentage of West African DNA,especially as a person of predominantly Eastern European descent, connects youto a complex history, one that might be horrific and tragic if you’re in theUS. Because of that, it would probably be more unsavory for you to immediatelyjump on board and appropriate what would more than likely be an amalgamation ofmany West African cultures or African-American culture. As someone who, presumably,has not had to experience a life without the privilege of a certain skin-tone, youhave every right to feel disconnected to that part of your heritage.

With all of that being said, if it something that interestsyou, by all means try and do your research. Prepare yourself for the answersthat you do find and brace for disappointment in not being able to find toomany records that verify your family’s history, but it’s always going to beimportant to acknowledge that though you can trace your genetic history throughthat course, you are an outsider looking back and in on that history, and letthat inform your beliefs and understanding of others.

At the end of the day, we’re all just people, friend.
