They were small, dainty flowers, that sprang up in the morning dew, and shriveled at night. They were like weeds. “They do not spin or toil” because they grew uncultivated anywhere and everywhere. These lilies were used to fuel fires because they were so spindly [….]

Jesus is telling us that these things we use and take for granted, like the arts, can have a central place in our conversation about the eternal. Because they are ephemeral and spindly, they ignite. Because they are throwaways, they serve a greater purpose. Precisely because the arts are useless, peripheral, and ephemeral, they are significant, essential, and permanent for God’s Kingdom. 

The arts are a gift, not a commodity. To the extent that we commoditize art and value art as the price dictates, to that extent we will devalue ourselves. To the extent that the arts are devalued in the church, to that extent we will dehumanize and devalue the gospel. We will end up “selling” the gospel as cheap, utilitarian merchandise, filling our mall-like churches with trinkets only worthy of 15 seconds of fame and attention.

Amy knocks it out of the park with her selection. Megamind, the horse from Tangled, dwayne 'the rock' johnson (& Maui, which is when the arguing about dwayne not being a fictional character finally dies down), and the male hippo from madagascar 3(?)

If ingested you're cat will become very sick. My cat almost died because a) the vet had no idea what to look for and b) my cat is an incredible IDIOT decided he liked the taste of POISON and ate it more than once.

Having baby fever or whatever its called so I wanted to draw Candy with her daughter 💖

I desperately wish I could make myself work on the actual comic. I think about it obsessively like every single day yet I just can NOT make myself work on it. A mix of low motivation/focus as well as a weird intense anxiety every time I try to work on it is making it impossible. I came really close to actually doing something today though lmao so who knows. Maybe soon.

Lillie snugged into the manor to hide several colorful, chocolates, baskets, even self made halo cakes and more wherever she could, along with colored spider eggs, honey treats she made and two new blades she made for the twins, as well as a pink one for Maia.

Jae was the first one to wake up in the manor- or at least they thought so. For a moment, the shift of energy changed. Instinctively, they held their palm out with it facing towards the ceiling, receiving visions of colourful items and chocolate. As they opened the door to exit their room, their fellow feline leaped onto the demon's shoulders. Jae sauntered to towards the living room to see the baskets, halo cakes, and new blades sitting on the coffee table.

"Whoa.. Did the Bunny of Easter come over?" They asked to no one in particular.

"Uhh don'tcha mean Easter Bunny?" Omar flew towards the coffee table. His face changed into an ecstatic expression. "Whoa! There's so many goodies and gifts!"

Maia came into the living room, yawning and rubbing her eyes.

"Both of you seem awfully chipper this morning. May I ask why?"

"They Easter Bunny came!" The Michaelis twins replied in unison. "But we know who it is!"

Omar gave Maia her own basket with her own blade in it. "I know you and Lillie haven't spoken to each other, but she was thoughtful to make you a gift! Plus, she's Jae's girlfriend!"

"Oh! Well, I should treat her to afternoon tea and get to know her. She does seem like a wonderful... Human? Demon?"

"She's a human.. But she's like an angel." Jae said in a bashful tone. "I'll be the Bunny of Easter and give her gifts this time. I have good ones in mind."

"Hell yh! Me too! Even my bees will tickle her with love!" Omar flashed a grin, his teal braces shown. His antennas bounced along to his happiness. "Flower crowns, native angelic and demons flowers for her, angelic pastries! And matching sweaters!"
