Had so much fun helping to organize our @eastbaycyclones Community Day event yesterday—delicious food including @adamesra’s Dominican chicken, rice, and beans, shave ice from @alwaysalohashaveiceco, a moms hit-a-thon (in my head, I crushed it!🤣), a giant tug of war, and a giant slip-n-slide. Theo had so much fun on day 1 of his baseball tournament. Played catcher and shortstop and made this awesome play behind the plate. Some baseball highlights for Lucas included a game winning catch at 2nd base to advance us to the next bracket game (it made me cry because he had been emotionally wiped out and he really needed that, plus his coach and teammates cheering him😭), a foul home run (was out by a foot but impressed he could hit it over the fence!😜), and an RBI single against a tough team after he had been in a hitting slump. Our Albany Little League All Star team fought and battled hard against some stellar teams coming up short by just one run in two games. Thanks to our dream team of coaches led by the phenomenal Chris Carrubba-Katz @sofiemay who invested her time, energy, knowledge, and emotion into these kids. Spent part of our weekend playing a President’s Day Weekend tournament—Norcal PG Super Regional NIT—for @eastbaycyclones ⚾️ The competition was fierce with teams flying in from out of town and a good number of players who were over 5’9” and probably 150lbs #omg!
