Golden Dragon Talon Abraxas
An 'Unrelenting and Pioneering' Spirit
The Chinese dragon has been transformed from an imaginary progenitor to a mascot from ancient times to the present. It represents the Chinese people's unrelenting and pioneering spirit of keeping pace with the times.
Not only has the Chinese dragon prevailed in China, but it's also very popular among Chinese people living overseas. It has become a symbol of China and Chinese culture.
What Do the Colors of Chinese Dragons Mean?
There are blue, green, red, black, white, yellow, and golden dragons in Chinese culture. Different colors of dragon represent different things.
Dragons in different colors
Red Dragons
Red is China's luckiest color. It is often used to decorate the house/building used for a wedding or festival. The red dragon therefore has lucky symbolism. People paint red dragons to decorate their houses or walkways to celebrate various festivals. It is a tradition to use red dragons for dragon dances.
Black Dragons
Black Chinese dragons are often related to vengeance. In some Chinese movies, many criminal organizations or street gangs use black dragons as their emblems. Criminals often have black dragon tattoos on their arms or back, which represent evil or revenge. In ancient China, the black dragon is often linked to catastrophes like storms and floods.
White Dragons
White is traditionally connected to death and mourning in Chinese culture. However, a white Chinese dragon symbolizes purity and virtue.
Blue and Green Dragons
In Chinese culture, blue and green are colors representing nature, health, healing, peace, and growth. A blue/green dragon symbolizes the approaching of spring, new life, and plant growth.
Yellow Dragons
Since ancient imperial dynasties, yellow has been regarded as the royal color. Yellow dragons were a symbol of the emperor. They represented wisdom, good fortune, and power.

Golden Dragons
Golden Chinese dragons are associated with powerful deities or harvest. Golden dragons always symbolize wealth, prosperity, strength, harvest, and power.
Types of the Chinese Dragon
The green dragon is also called the azure dragon. It is one of the four great beasts in Chinese mythology (the Black Tortoise, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and Azure Dragon) representing the four directions (north, south, west, and east) respectively. The green dragon represents the east and controls rain and wind.
The winged dragon is said to reside in the sky. In Chinese legend, the winged dragon is the ancestor of dragons. It controls the four seasons and descendants of the Yellow Emperor.

The coiling dragon is said to live on the earth and not be able to fly to the sky. It is said that the coiling dragon can control time.
The horned dragon, according to Chinese legend, is a dragon that has lived more than 500 years, and at that age developed horns. It is a powerful and evil dragon that often makes floods.
The underworld dragon is said to live in the seas, rivers, lakes, or underground. It can control the flow of rivers or streams.
The treasure dragon, it is said, can protect hidden treasures or personal wealth.
The cloud dragon, according to legends, lives in the cloud. It can fly through thick cloud and make rain. It is also a popular dragon that Chinese painters like to paint.
The dragon king, or old dragon, is the most powerful and intelligent Chinese dragon in China's mythology. It can change into different shapes, even human beings'. It is said that it can control all the seas of China in all directions.

"Good morning Gaza, get up, drink my coffee, and rise. Our funeral has arrived.
Good morning Gaza, get up and recite the verse of return to a land we have carried like a tattoo on the hand.
Good morning, you stranger to your house. Not all God’s earth is Rome even if your flesh is a window-shop for the masters of words. Your flesh, is it Christ’s brittle bread?
Good morning, you offering on the altar of the Mediterranean basin, cut your path short. You’re a prayer rug for idolators, a cave of ancient civilizations, a tent for bedouin rulers, you’re the armor of the poor and the alms of millionaires. They auction you as surplus to the market’s demands. And you are the dream of Palestinians on the streets, a river of bodies in one.
Good morning Gaza. Get up. Gather your one arm. The one you have left. Good morning Palestinian flesh on the tables of ministers and presidents. You’re a stone of solidarity and balance among your executioners. Not even your language protects you, so take a short cut. Your flesh legitimates the police and the saint, they swap names, take turns, merge, bond, and sometimes split into two kingdoms that war over you, but when you rise, they reunite over your flesh.
You’re the geography of chaos, the history of this East, so take a short cut. You’re a field of experiments for both heavy industry and light. An encyclopedia of gunpowder, from the age of the catapult to the rage of missiles that were manufactured in the West. Palestinian flesh, in tribal nations and suited states that disagree over the price of potatoes, leather shoes, beets, crude oil, but agree on expelling you from your blood,
gather in one arm, gather as one, and write the verse of return." -Mahmoud Darwish

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Spread the self-love ❤
thank you for this! i think my favourite fics i've written are the ones that are basically like. my thesis statement. if you ask me about these characters, i will slide you one of these fics and say: here's my dissertation on the subject. everything you need to know about how i feel is in there.
can't get a life (if my heart's not in it)
libertines rpf | peter/carl | M | 20.9k
When Peter came to London, Carl was waiting for him under the hanging clock in the middle of Waterloo station. It had been romantic, in the way that Peter saw all their meetings as a little romantic – a song in the making, all Terry meets Julie and a sunset over the river. Or: the early days of Peter & Carl's love affair with London - and each other.
note: i wrote this one during my first year moving to london. inhabiting this story with these people and their music helped me settle there. this was also my way of taking every insanely romantic and toxic thing peter and carl did or felt about each other in those early years and weaving it into one point of reference.
on the wings of a nightingale
good omens | aziraphale/crowley | E | 11.1k
Aziraphale liked his body. He liked the shape of it, the way it moved and touched the world, a type of sensory feedback that made him understand the shape and extent of his corporation. Like he wasn’t just an ephemeral vessel. Like he was flesh. Or: Aziraphale gets a tattoo. Crowley is an accessory to this crime against good sense. Everyone’s kinks are very poorly disguised.
note: i think this is the one where i really got to grips with my authorial obsession with bodies, embodiment, sensation as existence. it's probably one of the most personal things i've written, too, in terms of its dissection of touch, and espousing thoughts on faith as tangible feeling vs abstract thought. this is the aziraphale that exists in everything else i've written in this fandom.
i hope i find my home
it chapter 2 | richie/eddie | E | 53k
The peak of summer is long gone, if it ever came, but the funk of stagnant air still hangs low over the suburban streets. Richie Tozier – sallow-skinned and puffy-eyed, wearing a too-small denim jacket that smells of sweat and mildew – hasn’t slept in several days, and he's trying to remember how he got here in the first place. Or: Coming back to Derry, Richie hadn't expected to live. Eddie hadn’t expected to die. In the aftermath of Neibolt, they’re both confronted by another shot at life.
note: possibly actually my favourite thing i've ever written out of all of these. features this ongoing obsession with bodies, though this is from a more confrontational perspective than the good omens one - there's an element of body horror, a sense of fear and discomfort about the body, and grapples with embodied repression. took me two years to write this one. it was a labour of love and hard work, and a proof of my commitment to getting this story about survival and recovery told.
le temps qu'il faut
disco elysium | harry/kim | T | 5k
Snow blows in from the east. It falls on Martinaise, thickening the frigid air like cornstarch, thick enough to chew on. Lieutenant Kim Kitsuragi stands – quiet, watchful, an oddity placed at the centre of a racket – collar turned up against the weather. Or: winter is tough and so is Kim, but a lot can change in ten days.
note: a story where i feel like i got the closest to capturing the mood of the original media. it was such a fucking pleasure to write something that was almost pure atmosphere. felt right that the poetry came out of this cold and battered landscape, and really solidified my interest in capturing environments. (who needs plot when there are buildings and lakes covered in snow).
when we fight about love
our flag means death | multi | E | 41.2k
Bonnet took a dainty sip of rum, then put the mug down with a fussy finality. “Look, I’m not interested in deals and riches and who gets what from who. I want to find Ed, that’s it. You’ll come with us, and you’ll guide us to the Revenge, and when we’re done, you can have my other ship to do with what you like. Sell it, sail away, set it on fire, I don’t care. Do we have an accord?” Bonnet held out a hand. His nails were ragged, and there were blisters on his fingers. Somehow, he still smelled of lavender. With all the recalcitrance of reaching towards an open flame, Izzy shook it. (Or: after brokering an uneasy peace, Izzy Hands, Stede Bonnet and the rest of the Revenge’s depleted crew are thrown together for a mission: find Edward, snap him out of his terrible madness, and then – and then.)
note: this is the one. the story that sums it all up. "how do you feel about izzy? what do you think was going on with him? how would a coherent version of him, flaws and all, realistically interact with the people most important to him during this time?" well: like this. focuses on repression, again, a key theme for me. though the repression here is not just physical, but mental, too. this was an exercise in finding a way to present a dislikeable, misguided, unreliable narrator as a point of view character and still finding meaning and empathy in his perspective. one of the most satisfying things i've ever written.

Another Barbarian Bakugo... [part 1?]
Not exactly a reverse because Bakugo is a Barbarian too. Barbarian Bakugo x Dragonrider reader. Dragonshifter Kirishima. Enjoy !
The Bakugo clan is a powerful one. It rules over most clans and tribes in the East. They are known for their firmness. The queen and king, Mitsuki and Masaru are respected and feared by others tribes. Their army is the biggest in the East. Mitsuki wrath is something bard wrote about and sang to keep other from bothering.
They strived thanks to the numerous pillages the Prince Katsuki Bakugo do. He's knowed to be one of the best warrior on the continent. His friends group was a scary bunch of warriors. They were vicious, skilled in their discipline, they respected their leader and in exchange he didn't hesitate to put his life in their hands.
The Bakugo clan worked with a strict moral code and hierarchy. You respect the veterans, you don't kill the children, what's not yours can be taken, if taken then it's yours.
However, the clan feared their golden age came to an end. In the North, the King Enji Todoroki was restless. He linked his bloodline to witches captured in the West, giving his people godslike abilities.
The battles were nightmarish. Katsuki lost half of his soldiers and almost die twice. The war was expensive in golds and people.
The Queen Mitsuki have to find a solution. Bowing to Enji was out of the equation. She rather kill all her family than submit to this arrogant ostrich.
She glared at the map where the Phoenix of the Todoroki family stood proudly in the North. It was slowly nibbling at the East territory.
Her advisors were throwing hypothesis on how to force the North King to commit an error. All ideas were shut by the Prince Bakugo while he was getting healed by a servant.
"The ostrich is too fucking smart to confront us directly! They have boats! He's gonna circle us by the sea and trapped us like idiotic bunnies!"
"We don't have boat, no tribe as ever rode the sea in our history." lamented an advisor.
"Then I'll be the first!" Snarled Bakugo.
"Don't say things like that, it makes you look even stupider." Glared his mother.
While the Prince kept shouting he could defeat Enji, the Queen looked at the river Jaham. It begun in their territory and descended straight South. She blinked.
"I need someone to take a message to the L/N Realm."
"Your friendship with them was a long time ago my Queen, they may not respond to your call..."
"They will. For I have a proposition they can't say no."
The L/N Realm, what a mysterious country. The South was a dense tropical forest. The high mountains made the traveling hard. The forest was dangerous even for the one who know their way. The rains were heavy and brutal, storms shook the ground like drums.
Some says this land was mystic. Witches whispered that rocks and earth had their own voice. Some says nobody lived there or that the land was a graveyard for past civilisations. The wise just smiled, conscious of the secret kept by the land and the people.
Mitsuki waited. She waited a response to her message with apprehension. Nobody but her husband knew what deal she made with the Southerns. The Prince didn't care, he was busy repelling the attacks from the North.
And one morning, a watcher run to the Queen telling that a group was riding from the South toward them.
Arrived to the Bakugo's Capital five people on horses' back. One of them was you, Y/N L/N futur sovereign of the L/N Realm. In front of the throne, you bowed respectfully.
"Royals Bakugo, I came from the Mishae plains, far in the South. The Royals of my country received your missive, we are here to help your people to fight the King of the North. We remember our common past and we will fight with you until there is no more ash for the Phoenix to come back."
Mitsuki smiled, pleased. She glanced at Masaru, expressing just a second all the relief she felt.
Katsuki, on her left, eyed the men around L/N. Tan skin, battle scars, tribal tattoos that make him remember old tales he heard when he was young. But one of them was different from the others.
He was tall like a coloss, all in muscles, red hair and pointy teeth. He standed behind you, eyes far away, like he was perceiving things from somewhere else.
"We are honored for your arrival, Heir L/N. Can I know how much warriors are we waiting?"
"You won't be needing more than us five, your Hightness."
Everybody was waiting for the fall of the pun but only silence was met. Mitsuki's eyelid jump, tensing her youthful face.
"How that? "
"My people possessed forces that can easily compete with Todoroki's magic."
"What forces?"
You didn't respond straight away.
"You'll need to wait the next battle to watch."
"Is it magic?"
Murmurs broke in the room. Panic whispers or disdain shoots.
You grimaced. A growled was emitted from somewhere shutting everybody in the room.
Before anybody could ask about the animal sound you responded. "We don't really like this word, for us magic is a force extorior that a human called. What I talk about is something from the inside of us. But I guess you can call it some form of magic."
The Queen tapped her fingers on the armrest of her throne, her face was stern.
"I don't really trust... magic, whatever form yours take. If your part of the deal is not kept I won't kept mine."
Your gaze slowly turned to the Prince. Your eyes roamed on his form making him tense.
"Of course" you said turning back to the Queen.
"You are guests to my court." She declared with a strong voice. "Your quarters will be ready for you and your men."
A week passed until Todoroki's naval force strike. Until then, you took your time to visit the capital. It was surreal how much goods this country had.
Your land was less prosperous, difficult to grow vegetables in the mountains with the capricious weather. But you knew riches are not only counted in golds. Your people where better artisans, they had to when they built the same house for the nth time.
Through your inspection you were more and more sure you took the right decision.
"What's that?" asked Kirishima.
"Orange, you wanna try it?"
You paid the fruit and gave it to your best friend. His sharp teeth pierced the fruit and let the juice pour on his shin. He growled of content from the taste like a child, making you laugh.
"Why is the food so good here? I promise Y/N, I'm not sure I will want to leave after."
"If everything goes to plan, we won't be gone for long. And you will be able to fill your big belly until it explodes."
He offered you a grin, all fangs out. You kept walking along the street.
"For how much time do we need pretend we don't know he is following us?" Asked Kirishima again.
It was Katsuki Bakugo who was following you. You had said that five men could defeat Enji while so much of his men perished. It was insulting, he was furious about it. When he demended explanations from his parents he was shooed out. WHO THE LIVING HELL DO YOU THINK YOU WERE??? Fooling him like that. You couldn't be better than him.
For your week there he observed you. You were either strolling the city or eating your heart out. The coloss, he learned was named Kirishima Eijiro, always followed you. You didn't look that strong. He sure could defeat you.
That's what he intended one afternoon, while you were in the gardens, he challenged you.
You gazed at him again, roaming your eyes on every crook of his body. He didn't know if you were admiring him or looking for his weak spots, were he was already injured.
You smiled, pleased apparently by his demand. "You are exactly like they told me, I accept your challenge."
He threw you a sword and begin to attack. The match went on for an hour. It ended with him on the ground, both swords on his throat. He blinked, world shattered before his eyes.
He rejected your hand when you gave him yours to stand. He stomped to the castle, wounded in his ego.
It was the first time you destroyed his world and how he thought it worked.
The second time was when Enji attacks. Mitsuki called you on the sea borders, thirty ships gliding toward the capital.
"I'll take care of it." you said, firmely.
You walked to the beach below, Kirishima following you. You watched the man you saw as your brother sinking in the sea.
Everybody waited with shaking heart, for you to do something. You did not.
It was the red head, who disappeared and left for a gigantic red scaled dragon. You climb on his back and flew towards the boats. You and the dragon burned down the fleet in a few minutes. Blood, flames and corpses decorated the sea. Screams slowly died.
You landed and Kirishima reappeared. Bakugo was shaking. His body sweating profusely. You stopped in front to them and decided to destroy his world again, for the third time.
"I guess our deal still stand, your Highness."
"It does Heir L/N. We will begin the wedding preparations, as promised."
"What? A wedding?" repeated Katsuki. "Why are we preparing a wedding?"
To this, you smiled darkly.
"Our wedding, dear bethroted."
You grounded your eyes in his, paralyzing his body. Him? Getting fucking married? To you?
"I'll be back in a month. And when I do, I'll put the Phoenix's crown on your head."
Kirishima laughed in the back. Katsuki felt too much. He felt trapped. He felt scarred. He felt stupid. You were covered in ashes, smiling knowing he couldn't say no.
At the beginning, he thought you were a opportunist liar. But you were very thoughtful, you calculated everything in that little head of yours, you had plans. And you were not a liar, because you were fucking determined to put this damn crown on his head like you promised.
He felt something else, burning down, but he rather drown himself than acknowledge it.

9 People You'd Like To Get To Know Better
I've been up since like 3 am because of jetlag so I thought I might as well answer one of the thingies I've been tagged in, thank you @airenyah ✨️
3 ships
1) Scallisaac - Scott, Allison and Isaac (Teen Wolf)
A perfect triad that first opened my eyes to poly ships and triads in particular! I gotta rec this one fic here that's been percolating in my brain for, oh, just- you know, a decade 🙂
2) River/Doctor - River Song and the 11th doctor (Doctor Who), or as I used to tag them- OTP: Whoney I'm home :D
They were arguably my first major OTP after I first learned what that means lol I love a flirty dynamic, bickering, tragic fated lovers, and time travel! My time in the Doctor Who fandom was when I first taught myself how to gif and use photoshop (back when I still had it...) so there's a bunch of gifsets and edits still on my blog from around then, at least one of which I remember featuring this ship!
3) To no one's surprise, I gotta nod along to one of @airenyah 's choices: Destiel - Dean and Castiel (Supernatural)
The amount of fics I read...! I even still have a 9 year old inactive sideblog that I made, posted a lot on, and then abandoned all within the span of one year lmao
First ship
I honestly don't remember but since one of my earliest fandoms was W.i.t.c.h., I'm just gonna say it was one of the canon relationships, like Will x Matt or either of Cornelia's romances
Last song
Spotify tells me it's Blooming Just For You (꽃이 피는데 필요한 몇 가지) by NuNew and Paul Kim but that's kind of cheating since I've been using it as an alarm recently lol
So, checking my recently played, the next one down is จังหวะตกหลุมรัก (Magic Moment) by DIDIxDADA ✨️
Currently reading
I'm still reading เจ้าชายน้อย /jao chaai naawy/, The Little Prince in Thai, because I tend to read a chapter while marking unfamiliar words as I go but then the looking up of them all afterwards takes me forever so I'm kinda lazy about reading it 😂
Last movie
The Lost Lotteries, or in Thai: ปฏิบัติการกู้หวย (/bpa dti bat gaan guu huay/ = Operation Recovering Lotteries)
It's a Thai comedy from 2022 that's basically about a heist but since I know folks here love First Kanaphan, here's my tumblr pitch: he stars as a spoiled rich kid, has a neck tattoo, and is in all of two scenes lol Also- not related to First anymore but- the characters are all nicely color-coded 🌈
Currently craving
Sleep 🤓 No but for real, jetlag is a bitch and it always only hits me after traveling back west which, like- usually people find it to be worse when traveling east so what the fuck is up with my inner clock hm????
No pressure tags: @zimmbzon @thegalwhorants @twig-tea @rocketturtle4 @sunshinechay @khaostache @slayerkitty @bruisingknees @berestweys - if y'all've already played this tag, please do point me towards it 💕
#bella and the blorbos#tag game#if you're wondering why i'm so slow to react to notifs- hi! i'm on vacation!

Yuexi, people of the Moon River
The Yuexi people inhabit the Southwestern Golden Highlands, a region of dense forests, mist-shrouded mountains, and numerous rivers, mainly the Yinshi She or Silver serpent named for its rapid and dangerous current and an abundant amount of silvery fish. The other major river of the region is the Yu Pubu or the Jade Cascade, a river that begins at the highest peak of the Highlands but as the river falls down the golden waterfalls and into the river basin it takes on a green hue and the river is blessed with many precious stones. The terrain is rugged, with terraced hillsides used for agriculture, the region is often called the food store of Aldine as it is blessed with fertile soil due to a massive volcanic eruption in Aldine's long ancient past. The Yuexi society is organized into a series of clans, each governed by a council of elders. These clans form loose confederations, coming together during times of war or crisis. The largest clans are the Lanyue (Blue Moon), Shanyue (Mountain Moon), and Huyue (Tiger Moon) clans, each with its own distinct traditions and rituals that separate one another.Yuexi society also has strong matriarchal elements, with women holding significant power in both spiritual and political realms. The Moon Priestesses are the most revered figures in Yeuxi society aside from the Royal family, believed to have the ability to communicate with the spirits and gods of the land. The Yuexi are devout followers of a lunar deity known as Mother Moon, believed to guide their people and protect them from harm. The phases of the moon play a significant role in their calendar, festivals, and rituals. The Yuexi believe in the spirits of the natural world, particularly those of the mountains, rivers, and forests. Ancestor worship is also central to their spiritual life, with elaborate rituals conducted to honor the spirits of the deceased who are believed to have an effect on the living world from the spiritual realm. Certain animals, like the white tiger and the moon owl, are considered sacred and are often associated with specific clans. These animals are believed to be messengers or incarnations of the gods and ancestors. The most important aspect of Yuexi culture is the art of tattoos. One can tell the different classes of Yuexi by the level of tattooing they have, Peasants and merchants typically have full covered tattoos on their arms and legs, symbolizing their place in society and connection to their work and the land. While nobility display more extensive tattoos that cover their entire upper and lower bodies, representing their elevated status and responsibilities. The Royal family are the only people permitted to tattoo their entire head, high noble family may tattoo smaller portions such as the neck and sides of the head but not the face. The Yuexi prefer to remain isolated from the larger empires and kingdoms of Aldine, valuing their independence and unique way of life. However, they are fiercely protective of their territory and have repelled numerous invasions throughout their history, they are currently in a major rebellion against the Tazarids to the east and Yuexi mercenaries are often found among rebel soldiers in the Tazarid provinces.

Additionally, her time spent at sea both from a young age with her father and as an operative assigned to SCP-2120 has turned her into quite the sailer.
EXTRAS.
𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘: Astoria, Oregon perched itself at the mouth of the Columbia River, weather-beaten and spending most of its days in a grey haze. Mostly, it was claims to fame from the 80s, and haggard fishermen pulling the day's catch in with ratty nets and water-logged crab pots. Its houses were ramshackle and its people were tired. The main drag was almost enough to spark life in the summer months, boasting corner shops and kites for windy days, but those months were fleeting in the face of the Pacific Northwest winters. Bailey Anne Brennan grew up diving between those ramshackle houses. She learned to drive a stick shift up the steep hills, rolling all the way to the bottom every time she stalled. She'd slide belly-first through the muck and mud of the Columbia when the tide was low, throw mud-pies at her friends, rinse off when the tide washed in once more. She knew every crook and cranny, every back alley, which house was the Goonies house, how many steps it took to cross the Astoria-Megler Bridge, how little room there was to dream in a town that only offered boats and tourism. The ice cream shop was good, they hired high schoolers who dreamed big but always washed up. Bailey didn't want an ice cream shop. Bailey wanted more. She could remember standing on her tip toes at the bow of her father's pilot boat, little hands clutched around the railing, wind whipping her hair into her face. She could remember looking deep, deep into the channel and wondering what was down there. What lurked in the depths. Astoria was so, so very small, but right at its doorstep a whole world lay hidden. She would stand on the rocks on the jetty and look out to where the sky met the ocean and think there was so much world, why did people choose to stay in a town that could only ever look out and wonder. The problem was most people didn't wonder at all. Her mother was happy to sit at home and knit, selling most of it to a local tourist trap that didn't pay enough. Her father loved his boat. He would look at Bailey, and she knew he knew. He had a glimmer in his eye, as though he would never steer his boat towards the horizon, but he knew she would. He'd smile just around the edges and tell her to be careful as she tipped just a little too far over the bow. Her mother said be a darling, help Mr. Catalina with his ice cream shop. Her father said dream. She was seventeen and too big for the little sailboat she'd putter around in when her father took her out for what she thought would be a day guiding barges through the channel. He pointed the bow towards the horizon and gunned it. She could remember laughing as the wind turned from playful to pure force, yelling as the waves broke over the railing. Astoria was but a thought on the horizon far, far away by the time he killed the engines. It was surreal, the way the sea calmed around them. The waves settled, the wind died down to a breeze. Bailey had always been fascinated by what she couldn't see, always diving into caves with dark corners, always looking over the edge of the pilot boat to catch a glimpse of something, but this? For the first time, Bailey felt a chill run up her spine. Thoughts of fancy turned into a pit in her stomach, something dark and roiling and exciting all at once. Like when she was small, she stood tip-toes on the prow, and wrapped her hands around the railing. She tipped out and out and stared down. The water turned from grey-blue to deep, endless black. She stared and stared until it felt as though something far, far beneath seemed to take shape. Her hands gripped tighter and she thought I shouldn't know this and I want to know this and closed her eyes. Behind her, her father smiled that same knowing smile. He knew. Soon, Bailey would leave Astoria, Oregon. She would dream bigger than the coastline, bigger than his little boat and her mother's knitting. She would leave Astoria, but Astoria wouldn't leave her.
𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 THE ROLE MODEL – Bailey is trying her absolute best to be her absolute best. She is looking to those around her for guidance, absorbing what they do and how they act, measuring her own actions against those she feel are both much more capable, and much more experienced than she. Maybe your character knows she's looking and is playing into it, maybe they know and genuinely want to help, maybe they know and would like her to stop. THE CAUTIONARY TALE – So many in this group have been through the ringer once or twice. This would be a character who sees a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed newcomer bouncing into this assignment like everything is going to be just fine, and they want to warn her. Square your shoulders, Bailey Anne. Or get out while you can. THE PARTNER IN CRIME – Really, at her heart, Bailey wants to enjoy what she's doing. She wants some sense of friendship from her peers, or at least more than straight-faces over coffee. Just because it's all one big secret organization dealing in world ending threats that doesn't mean they can't have a little fun. Listen, if they can slip a package in, they could get one of those fake fire alarms that give the low battery chirp every five minutes and hide it in the Commander's office........
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 / 𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐒 idealist, everyman, charmer, dreamer, optimist, doomed by the narrative, fish out of water, wake up call, be careful what you wish for
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 forgive me these will be a lot of comics characters: Kitty Pryde (Marvel), Stephanie Brown (DC), Ruth Wilder (GLOW), Cassie Lang (Marvel), Cindy Moon (Marvel)

Good morning Gaza, get up, drink my coffee, and rise. HISTORY.
the second born son of the montgomery brood, trevor's parents had high expectations for him as they did his brother, mack. unlike his brother, trevor didn't seem hellbent on falling short of their expectations. it was quite the opposite, actually. trevor was eager to please his parents, seeking their validation and admiration to a fault.
appeasing his parents and meeting their high expectations came natural to him—he was able to juggle his schoolwork with his athletics growing up in albany, new york, managing to earn himself an above average GPA
despite being a gifted academic, athletics is where trevor flourishes—especially soccer and swimming. which is why, at the age of thirteen when the montgomery’s moved from the east coast to the west coast, trevor did so without so much of a fuss. the west coast offered better public swimming pools and beaches for him to take a dip in as opposed to the east coast’s abysmal and waste filled rivers.
life in aurora bay took some adjusting for trevor, despite his earlier positive approach to their families relocation, but as he did with most things he was faced with; he learned to adapt. making new friends and joining the high school soccer and swimming team was easy for him and he soon made the swim team captain and captain of the soccer team—shannon montgomery always did say that her golden child never did anything in half measures.
trevor’s achievements were shannon’s achievements and his report cards, soccer trophies and swim trophies all had a permanent spot on her refrigerator or on display on their mantle place.
it would eventually be soccer that whisked trevor away from aurora bay, after being scouted by a prolific college soccer coach and earning himself a full ride at a prolific college back on the east coast. it was trevor’s first taste of independence and freedom and where he would first experiment with his sexuality and be roomed with paris matthews—the first boy he ever loved.
trevor and paris were your all american college boys. they attended the same parties, they rushed the same frat house and after one too many bad dates and disappointing night outs—they opened the door into exploring their sexualities as friends with benefits. neither of them were open about their sexuality, both still in denial after months of hooking up with each other even when their casual friends with benefits relationship became anything but casual.
they continued to date all throughout college, eventually becoming exclusive—on the down low—more for paris’ benefit than trevor’s, and throughout trevor’s try-outs for the pro soccer league. it was once he was scouted by a D1 soccer team and quickly started making a name for himself in the sports world that their relationship hit some hardships.
the final straw for trevor came when paris agreed to finally being open about their relationship and then backing out at the last second. feeling alone, unsupported and like he was the only person trying and fighting for their relationship, trevor left paris and returned to aurora bay to lick his wounds.

Golden Dragon Talon Abraxas
An 'Unrelenting and Pioneering' Spirit The Chinese dragon has been transformed from an imaginary progenitor to a mascot from ancient times to the present.
Red Dragons Red is China's luckiest color. It is often used to decorate the house/building used for a wedding or festival. The red dragon therefore has lucky symbolism. People paint red dragons to decorate their houses or walkways to celebrate various festivals. It is a tradition to use red dragons for dragon dances.
Black Dragons Black Chinese dragons are often related to vengeance. In some Chinese movies, many criminal organizations or street gangs use black dragons as their emblems. Criminals often have black dragon tattoos on their arms or back, which represent evil or revenge. In ancient China, the black dragon is often linked to catastrophes like storms and floods.
White Dragons White is traditionally connected to death and mourning in Chinese culture. However, a white Chinese dragon symbolizes purity and virtue.
Blue and Green Dragons In Chinese culture, blue and green are colors representing nature, health, healing, peace, and growth. A blue/green dragon symbolizes the approaching of spring, new life, and plant growth.
Yellow Dragons Since ancient imperial dynasties, yellow has been regarded as the royal color. Yellow dragons were a symbol of the emperor. They represented wisdom, good fortune, and power. Yellow Dragon on Imperial Robe
Golden Dragons Golden Chinese dragons are associated with powerful deities or harvest. Golden dragons always symbolize wealth, prosperity, strength, harvest, and power.
Types of the Chinese Dragon The green dragon is also called the azure dragon.
It controls the four seasons and descendants of the Yellow Emperor.
types of Chinese dragonDifferent Types of Dragons on the Roof of Forbidden City
It is said that it can control all the seas of China in all directions.

let's go back in tiiiiime
"Where are we?" "Where's everybody else?" "Where's Imogen?"
This area is rife with not just volcanic activity, but with seismic activity as well, and Ruidus is to the south.
Laudna identifies a handful of places that match this description: the Truskan Vale (near Kamordah), the Panagrip Sands (to the far east of Marquet), and the Spectrum Gorge in the middle of Issylra.
Orym to Caleb, via sending stone: "Um... Caleb Widogast? Are you alright? Where are you? Not sure we're even in Marquet anymore. Please respond." He's met with a feedback loop and static.
Orym to Dorian, vis sending stone: "Dorian? Can you hear me? Uh... what's the sky look like where you are? Tell me you're okay." Same thing.
They crest a ridge of the gorge, and beyond, there's a dense forest, a cluster of growth affixed to the mineral-rich earth. Orym, with a passive perception of 31, sees movement —
AIMEE!!!!
She's a dwarf with long blond hair, covered in tattoos — two stand out, one of a banner heart that says "me" instead of "mom," and one with a large cursive D. She's wearing earring hoops that say "fuck off." A corset, bejeweled boots, a massive gold belt buckle, carrying a whip and a sickle.
I'm calling it right now, this woman is going to romance Laudna and Ashton.
An hour ago, she was in Tal'dorei looking for her ex. She almost found him when she heard Ludinus' voice, saw white light, then appeared in this forest.
Mona is a barbarian/rogue (who rolled excellent stats btw).
From the top, they can see that the gorge is a massive canyon at least two miles long. Ruidus is to the southwest of them. An extremely overgrown and vibrant forest surrounds the canyon, and there's a river nearby.
Orym can see another gathering of leylines to the northeast — another nexus point, miles off. Loosely in that direction, he can see a township, and beyond that, a massive mountain range with one singular mountain taller than any he's ever seen — the Heaven's Stair. The entire western side of his vision is taken up by a mountain range that looks so foreboding and ominous that he doesn't even want to go near it. To the south, ocean.
Traveling to the northeast, they encounter a fire and send Pate to scout. (Friendly reminder that Pate uses the stat block of an imp, so he can turn invisible at will.) At the fire, there's a cart, a reindeer-looking beast of burden, and a humanoid figure warming their hands.
Utkarsh Ambudkar is an actor best known for his roles in Pitch Perfect and Avatar: the Last Airbender.
Bor'dor is a half-elf "built like a coat hanger." 6'4 but hunched over, delicate fingers, no scars or tattoos. Brown skin with shades of green and gold, unkempt hair, and large gold-amber eyes. A face that carries the resting expression of "what the fuck is going on?" No armor, a green cloak, leather shoes, and a crossbow.
He shoots a 5th-level lightning bolt at Mona, then casts cure wounds at second level. He's a divine soul sorcerer!
He was in the Cyrios Mountains on Wildemount (near Pride's Call) with his sheep — his family raises sheep and sheepdogs — and caring for his sick brother. Then he felt a humming, heard a voice and a droning, a pain in his forehead — then he got teleported here, along with his cart.
And apparently he just... spontaneously gained 9 levels in sorcerer over the course of the hours he's been here. Which, if he's a divine soul sorcerer, is super fucking concerning considering what we know about the gods giving large amounts of power to their followers from EXU: Calamity.
Mona's whip is a whip of warning, which gives her advantage on initiative rolls. Also, creatures within 30 feet of her cannot be surprised, and if they're sleeping naturally and combat starts, they wake up at the start of combat.
Orym spots another figure, walking through the forest, approaching the light and conversation.
EMILY!!
She's a shadar-kai elf with emo girl tattoos with runes instead of song lyrics, but she's dressed in the formal attire of a mage's apprentice. Indoor kid vibes, clothes not meant for adventuring, "coming out of a tense conversation with a book."
She's a Cobalt Soul apprentice!! She's here asking about their "experiences with the apogee solstice."
Her book talks to her. She was sent by the Cobalt Soul, but with a sentient book chaperone. It's a tome with black and brown leather and silver runes, with a scrunched face roughly pressed into the front. Denios was trapped in a book during a rivalry, the Cobalt Soul got their hands on it, and now he's a chaperone.
The Cobalt Soul didn't know where she was gonna end up, but they sent her through a teleport spell hoping for a metropolis — and ended up here. So this confirms that teleport works, but there's no guarantee where you're gonna end up.
Prism was stepping outside the library to prepare for her teleportation when she heard Ludinus, saw a flash, and ended up here.
The Soul knew that the apogee solstice would be a "cataclysmic event." They scrounged up everyone they could and dispatched them to try to figure out what's happening.
The sentient book is also her spellbook, so she's stuck with him.
It sounds like Prism is an order of scribes wizard? That would make sense for the Cobalt Soul.
Mona's "real" name is Deni$e. Her nails are incredibly sharp stilettos. Her demeanor reminds me a lot of Keg.
More rustling in the bushes! More people?
Nope! Initiative at the end of the break.
Prism has a raven familiar she calls "mother." She also invokes the spirit of her spellbook, confirming that she's an Order of Scribes wizard.
Denise has at least 3 levels in rogue, because her sneak attack is 2d6, and at least 2 levels in barbarian, because she has reckless attack.
Gods, I forgot how much I love Talisein's descriptions of Ashton's attacks and rage builds. They're all so good.
Oooooh, I've never seen steel wind strike used in a game before! It's a 5th level ranger/wizard spell from Xanithar's that deals 6d10 force damage on a hit to up to 5 creatures within range. Then, regardless of whether it hit or not, the caster can teleport to a space within 5 feet of any of the targets.
Also, yes, rules-as-written a familiar counts as an ally that can proc sneak attack. So if Veth, as an arcane trickster, had taken find familiar, or if Frumpkin was used in this way, she could've gotten sneak attack much more reliably. Personally, I find it strange that familiars can do this while spiritual weapons cannot, but yeah.
I love that Bor'dor, the newly-minted sorcerer who has no idea how to use his magic purposefully, is this party's only source of healing (besides Laudna's wither and bloom, which hardly counts). From that, it seems like this group is much more geared toward social encounters than physical ones,
YO. EMILY. that is a DOPE FUCKING MOVE
The plant swallows Orym, then the book goes in behind him and gets into contact, then Prism casts dimension door through the book on Orym to teleport them out.
THIS is why I absolutely love watching veteran players on Critical Role. People new to the system have their own unique charm to the way they play their characters, but people like Emily and Aabria who are highly experienced with and aware of D&D 5e know to make incredibly creative moves like that.
And at the same time, Utkarsh (and guests new to 5e) pushes the limits of the rules, because they're not familiar with those rules, to a point that they come up with wildly creative plays based on what knowledge they do have of the rules-as-written that end up being clutch moves.
Combat ends.
Prism's raven is named after both her own mother and the Matron of Ravens, because the latter is prominent in the Shadowfell.
Prism is "really new to spellcasting," despite being a 9th-level wizard who is therefore capable of casting things like contact other plane, create spelljamming helm, legend lore, and teleportation circle. tbh this is such a cool take on wizards -- someone who's never tested their spells in combat situations, but who's confident in their own ability with those spells in more innocuous circumstances, due to their expansive study and lack of practical experience.
Also, Prism knows exactly who Ludinus Da'leth is, though she's never interacted with him directly, because of his leadership of the Cerberus Assembly.
"We don't leave people behind. That's the rule. You do not leave people the fuck behind." I love that this has become the center of Ashton's philosophy, because it makes so much sense. They were left behind, left for dead, and a single person stayed by their side, helped them, saved them. So of course they are going to be that person for someone else. Of course they would rather be the Milo, of course they'd rather try in vain to save someone instead of leaving them behind and subjecting them to the same pain and isolation that they themself felt.
Also, again, Emily is using the same logic for Prism as Aabria did for Laerryn. Maybe it's just because we've never really had a proper elf PC (or a player-character who had the trance ability), but this is just such a cool take on trance...... I love it.
Ahhh, so Prism doesn't necessarily believe the gods should die but she does believe that they might deserve to be usurped by mortals ascending to godhood like the Raven Queen. With a skill check, Prism's truthful reason is that she's feeling excited to be out of the library. She thought she was going to freak out, but she didn't, and she's excited by that -- she feels like she could smoke a cigarette in a single drag, she feels that rush of adrenalin. It's like when Caleb said in C2 that they were all addicts to the thrill of battle, the adrenalin of purpose.
Bor'dor doesn't remember his mother very well, and he hasn't seen her in a very long time. He believes that his magic comes from the love of his mother, and he's clinging to that. He and Prism take the first watch, and bond over their ability to trance.
Yep, Prism is 100% an order of scribes wizard. Manifest Mind is a 6th level ability of that subclass.
Ashton panicked, down in the mines. They thought they'd won, they thought Laudna had won, and they think they made some bad calls. Laudna says that "we're a bunch of dumb-fucks, going up against a 500-year-old wizard, so..." And Ashton reassures her that they're gonna get their people. They're gonna get Prism, Bor'dor, and Deni$e to where they need to go, then they're gonna find Imogen. "If they went to space, then we'll go to space... if she got vaporized, we'll bring her back. This is what we do. We bring everybody back. There is no failure in this, and we're going to figure it out because it's what matters. I have-- whatever broken thing that's in my head, that means that anything's possible now, that's what I've decided. We brought you back, and we can do it again... sure, we're not enough to save the world, but we are more than enough to bring everybody back... we can't save the world, but we can save our people. We're going to."
I never really got to know Percy, I liked Molly, I loved Caduceus... but I want to fucking study Ashton like a bug under a microscope, I want to turn them around in my brain like a microwave. They are fascinating,
Deni$e and Orym take the last watch. Deni$e knows Shaun Gilmore! She went to Emon looking for him specifically. She also knows Dariax, "that piece of shit." She knows Orym from wanted posters all over Emon -- the Nameless Ones have put up wanted posters for all of the Crown Keepers.
Dariax has a dumptruck ass, canon.
DARIAX IS THE EX DENI$E WAS LOOKING FOR
And the Nameless Ones were going after her because they were looking for what Dariax stole, and as soon as she saw him months later, she got teleported here.
Orym has flashes of Keyleth, Will, the horrors they've witnessed. It permeates this light conversation, his entire existence. He drinks, heavier than we've seen him drink the entire campaign. "I just... I just don't think I've ever felt so small."
Prism doesn't know sending, but if she can find a scroll or a copy of a spell, she can transcribe it into her spellbook very quickly. She wants to find a library or some discarded spellbooks so she can help, so she can cast sending.
As an interesting note, this is also an Order of Scribes ability! Usually, it takes 2 hours per spell level for a wizard to transcribe a spell, but for an Order of Scribes wizard it takes two minutes per spell level.
"That mountain to the north is the Ascendant Bridge, the tallest mountain in Exandria... it's visible as far away as Vasselheim. It's believed to be where the gods first arrived in the world." The party is within a gorge of Othanzia, the region in which Vasselheim, the dawn of all civilization, sits.
The party can still see Ruidus, even in the early daylight. They can see townships around -- they have options scattered in every direction.
#critical role#note watches c3#critical role spoilers#critical role campaign 3#critical role c3#critical role liveblog#it's so interesting to look at how different and yet how so SO similar the guests are here versus the guests for Team Wildemount#like sure-- none of them are particularly reverent of the gods#nor do they really believe in their abilities#but they all recognize#in a general sense#that killing the gods is a Bad Thing To Do#and all five of them express that in entirely different ways#and the PCs are all in line with this too#none draw power directly from the gods and none are particularly pious#and yet the rational of them recognize that the gods and their support just disappearing overnight#would trigger a cataclysm on Exandria and beyond.

The Man of Jiaozhi (HHS086)
The Ritual Records declares: “In the southern region they are called Man. They tattooed their foreheads, and criss-cross their toes [jiaozhi]”. In their customs, men and women bath together in the river, for that reason it says criss-cross their toes. West of them is the state of the people-eaters. When they give birth to their first child, they immediately dismember and eat it, it is said to be propitious for the younger brother. If the taste is excellent, they deliver it to their lord. If the lord enjoy it, he reward the father. If someone takes a beautiful wife, he yields her to his older brother. Now this is the people of Wuhu.
Wan Zhen's Treatise on the Strange Things in the Southern Provinces says: Wuhu is th name of a land. It is south of Guang province and north of Jiao province. They regularly set out between the roads to wait for travellers, and straight-away set out to strike him. They covet people to eat, and are not greedy for their wealth and riches. They also use their flesh for delicacies and pickles, and also take their skulls, and smash them to use for drinking wine. They consider a person's hands and feet as prized rarities, and use them as food for their elders.
South of Jiaozhi is the state of Yuechang. In the 6th Year of the Duke of Zhou's administration, he had regulated the rites and created music, and Under Heaven was in harmony and at peace. Yuechang used three elephants and repeated translators to present a white pheasant, saying:
The roads and paths are distant and remote, the mountains and rivers are stony and deep, the sounds make it not possible to communicate. For that reason we come to court through repeated translators.
King Cheng returned it to the Duke of Zhou. The Duke said:
If virtue does not apply to them, a lordly man does not accept their pledges. If government does not extend to them, a lordly man does not make subjects of their people. How could I obtain this gift!
Their envoy requested, saying:
I have received the instructions from the yellowed and wrinkled of my state who said: “For long time, there has been no violent wind, thunder, and rain from the sky, perhaps in the Central States there is a sagely person? If there is, why not go to court there.”
The Duke of Zhou therefore returned it to the King, declaring it divinely caused by the Previous Kings, to offer it to the Ancestral Temple. As Zhou's virtue declined, this little by little was broken off.
When the Counts of Chu claimed hegemony, they brought tribute to court from the Hundred Yue. Qin annexed Under Heaven, awed into submission the Man and Yi, and first began to lead the outside. They set up Nanhai, Guilin, and Xiang commanderies. When Han rose, Commandant Tuo installed himself as King of Nanyue, and transmitted his state for five generations.
In the Book Of Han, the King of Nanyue, Zhao Tuo, was a native of Zhending. In the time of Qin he became Commandant of Nanhai. Tuo's grandson was Hu, Hu's son was Yingqi, and Yingqi's son was Xing.
Arriving at Emperor Wu's 5th Year of Yuanding [112 BC], he then wiped them out, and divided up and set up nine commanderies, with the Inspector of Jiaozhi leading them. Two of the commanderies, Zhuya and Dan'er, were located on an island in the sea, a thousand li east to west and five hundred li north to south. Their chieftains prized long ears, and they all pierced and pulled them down so they hung down three cun to the shoulders.
At the end of Emperor Wu, the Grand Warden of Zhuya, Sun Xing of Kuaiji, requisitioned cloth a fu wide to present it. The Man were not capable of service, and thereupon attacked the commandery and killed Xing. Xing's son Bao combined and led good people to return and repeatedly rout them, He himself directed the commandery's affairs, chastised and struck the remaining partisans, and in continuous years there was peace. Bao dispatched envoys to send back sealed the seal and ribbons, and sent up a document to tell the circumstances. A decree was made which promptly used Bao as Grand Warden of Zhuya. With his awe-inspiring government and great actions, the offered [tribute] and instructions arrived annually. In the Central States they were greedy for their precious gifts, and gradually they encroached on and slighted each other. For that reason, generally every few years there was a rebellion. Emperor Yuan's 3rd Year of Chuyuan [46 BC], they then abolished it. In total the commandery had been established for 65 years. Arriving at Wang Mang assisting the government, 2nd Year of Yuanshi [2 AD], Huangzhi, state to the south of Rinan, came to present a rhinoceros animal.
Generally, in that which was controlled by Jiaozhi, though they had set up commanderies and counties, the language was different in each, and repeated translators was needed to communicate. The people were like birds and beats, adults and children were not differentiated. They had hair-knots at their necks and walked bare-footed. They pulled cloth through their heads and wore it. Later to some extent moved criminals from the Central States there, and made them lived mixed up in their midst. They therefore little by little learned language, and gradually were changing their customs.

Expand to continue reading.
ABOUT:
Though the word 'dragon' is a broad classification pertaining to several different species of Supernatural peoples, the Dragon (Imugi) originates from the Korean Peninsula. Having fallen through a portal from the Echo World some time in prehistoric East Asia, this species of supernatural is somewhat reclusive. Known to inhabit secluded locations in the mountains of Korea, spreading into China and Siberia, these Supernaturals quickly ascended to deity status amongst the young civilizations of Asia. Shapeshifters by nature, these Supernaturals are extraordinarily long-lived, with some estimated to be several thousand Earth-years old. These Supernaturals often prefer to inhabit a human form when interacting with the world around them. However, some that have retreated from the world are thought to have permanently shifted into their serpentine, draconic form.
APPEARANCE -> HUMAN FORM
In Korean mythos, dragons are depicted in one of four color schemes: red, blue, green, or gold. These color schemes mimic the color schemes of the different draconic bloodlines found worldwide, with each coloring tying the dragon to an element of nature which they have magical control over. Red -> Red dragons in human form will often have dark red hair and fiery orange, yellow, or red eyes. Red dragons are tied to the element of fire, and work well with other Supernaturals with fire-based Magic. In mythology, red dragons were symbols of war, and sometimes associated with the rising sun, particularly in Japanese mythos. Blue -> Blue dragons are often seen with black hair, though some may sport dark blue, turquoise, or even shades of blue-green hair along with blue eyes that come in a variety of shades. Blue dragons are tied to the element of water, and have aquatic abilities such as the ability to breathe underwater and control water telekinetically. In mythology, these dragons were associated with bodies of water, from rivers to the sea. Green -> Green dragons are generally seen with green hair in many different shades, though the most common seem to be a sort of blue-green or an evergreen shade. Their eyes will range from bright, vibrant jade to green that is so dark it is almost black. Green dragons are tied to the element of earth, and have been known to exhibit healing abilities, as well as control over rock and/or plant life. Some dragons of this classification also seem to be able to poison or knock out humans similar to the effect of a vampire's pheromones. Green dragons were often associated with the mountains of the Korean Peninsula. Gold -> Gold dragons are the rarest of the four, tied to the element of air. They often have very light colored hair, ranging from whites to blondes to grey. Their eyes are usually white, grey, yellow, or in some cases, a pink-ish hue which resembles the color of the sky at sunrise. These dragons were associated with the sky, the wind, and storms, as well as good luck and good omens. Their magic involves controlling the wind, and they are known to be particularly fast and agile. All dragons have slitted pupils like cats and sharp teeth when in human form, as well as large ears that come to a point at the uppermost tip. Their facial characteristics are always similar to that of humans in Eastern Asia unless they are half-blooded or less with human blood not of East Asian descent. All dragons can conceal these traits with magic, but many choose not to when in the company of other Supernaturals. Some dragons are observed to have facial markings similar to tattoos, and for some, these markings continue over the entire body. There are a few instances as well of dragons who have recently shifted into their dragon form to have scales that linger across their brow and cheekbones.
APPEARANCE -> DRAGON FORM
The Dragon (Imugi) subspecies of Dragon appear as large, serpentine reptiles very similar to the Chinese and Japanese subspecies of Dragon. However, distinctions can be made by counting the number of toes a dragon has -> the Imugi subspecies has four toes on each foot, while other subspecies often only have three. Imugi are also known to have great horns atop their heads in the shape of antlers, something that notably the Chinese subspecies tend to lack. The size of a dragon's nonhuman form can vary, ranging from 8 to 10 feet in length to upwards of over 60 feet, though those larger than 15 feet are rare and often extremely old.
