Alright, i wanna talk about my atla warrior cats au so this is a post about it
First of all, im not sure just how familiar yall are with warrior cats, but basically its a really long kids'/adolescents' book series about four (or five) clans of feral cats that live in the woods and fight each other over territory. Important notes are, there is a cat heaven called starclan where (most of) the dead cats go, and starclan can grant nine lives to the leaders of each clan. The leaders appoint a deputy who is second in line and takes over after the leader loses all their lives, there are warriors who make up the majority of each clan, apprentices who are warriors in training (for 6 months to 1 year old), and kits (who are kittens, under 6 months). There are also technically healers referred to as medicone cats, but they dont fit so well into my au so i have a workaround. Apprentices all have the suffix -paw until they earn their warrior name, and leaders all have the suffix -star. Addtionally, there are cats that don't live in the clans, which consist of rogues and loners, and kittypets. For the sake of i literally cannot figure out how to fit them in, i am not including kittypets in this au
Ok, now that the important info is oit of the eay let's get into it! (Under the cut)
So, there are four clans based of course on the four nations, Waterclan, Earthclan, Fireclan, and Airclan. Waterclan's leader is chief Arnook, renamed Polarstar for the au. The deputy is Hakoda, or Blizzardclaw. Earthclan is led by king Kuei (Sweetstar - subject to change), and the deputy is Long Feng (Stoneflash).
Fireclan of course is led by Ozai (Smokestar), and the deputy position actually changes paws a few times. Before zuko's banishment, the deputy position is held by Iroh (Dragonblaze), but he steps down when he joins his nephew in his exile. After that, Smokestar appoints Zhao (originally Cinderburn) as deputy. When he goes on his mission to kill the moon, he goes and changes his name to Moonhunter. Now, it isn't unheard of or warriors to hange their names to something that fits better, but they kinda have to be approved by the leader and starclan. In this case, it was not and was just something he did of his own accord. Not very plot relevant, i just think it's silly. Anyway, after he gets taken out by the ocean spirit, Smokestar appoints Azula (Emberspark) as the next deputy. Fireclan's leadership/deputyship system operates where once the leader's oldest kit earns their warrior name, they become deputy and are next in line to become leader. So when Zuko (Blazeheart) returns to Fireclan territory after helping Emberspark take Ba Sing Se, Emberspark steps down and Blazeheart becomes deputy. Until of course he leaves his clan and joins the avatar (ava-cat?), then Emberspark is reinstated as deputy.
Anyway moving on lol. So Airclan is a little different, sicne there's only one Airclan cat left. Aang (Windpelt, originally) by default is the Airclan leader. When he, Katara, and Sokka visit the southern air temple in the early episodes, and he realizes he is the last Air-cat, Windpelt gets to go through his leadership ceremony, and is given his nine lives, one of which is given by Monk Gyatso (Galestar). After this event, his name is changed to Windstar, and he is officially one of the four clan leaders
Due to the very spread out nature of the clans, the leaders are not able to oversee every single ceremony that goes on within their clans. Instead, each camp (basically each town or area they visit) has a cat theyve appointed to act as a "leader" and take care of apprentice ceremonies, naming ceremonies, etc. For example, Gran Gran (Sealfur) would be the acting leader for the southern Waterclan camp, or King Bumi (Quartzeye) would be the acting leader for Omashu.
Additionally, due to the clans being spread out, none of the clans would have designated healers or medicine cats, instead part of every cats' warrior training would involve a bit of healing so thy can all provide first aid for themselves and their clanmates. Certain Water-cats would still have healing abilities, it'd just be in a different fashion to traditional cat medicine, and these Water-cats would be renowned for their healing.
Non-bending cats would be versed in what I've been referring to as claw-combat. Bending cats are able to rely much more on their elements when fightingn whereas non-bending cats get to use their teeth and claws more to fight. I also think these cats do utilize weapons and tools. For example i believe Snowtail would still have his boomerang (a little kitty boomerang lol), and eventually learn to use a sword.
This au's version of starclan would be referred to as spiritclan, and would be also the same as the spirit world. The Avatar (ava-cat? I really am wondering if i should call them the ava-cat lol) is then the bridge between the cat clans and spiritclan.
I've also been toying with the idea that each clan cat recieves a mark from spiritclan when they earn their warrior name. I've already decided hat Airclan cats recieve a sort of arrow shaped mark in their fur, and i think Waterclan cats also recieve a mark (probably a crescent moon). Im thinking maybe Fireclan cats could recieve perhaps flame-shaped stripes on their cheeks? (Like tabby markings, but more like fire almost. Still not sure). Not entirely sure what id give Earthclan cats, but i believe the mark would be on their legs/paws. Basically i just think it'd be cool lolol.
Regarding appa and momo, i really think they would be left pretty much the same (except i think momo would have to be smaller, maybe a mousebat instead of a flying lemur - lemurs are simply too large when compared to cats). However the cats do typically hunt animals like momo, which i think could lead to some silly goofy moments. Windstar would still be vegetarian i think, for silly's sake, and his friends dont eat momo out of respect for him, but they definitely want to.
That's pretty much all of the world-building info that i have thought of so far, i have a few thoughts on some specific cats/characters but this post is long enough i think lol. I'll probably post those in the future but I'll leave it at this for now

Some artwork for some fan fiction I’ve been working on. The prologue has been written and I just need to edit it and such. Basically there are four clans, EarthClan, ShadowClan, FireClan, and WaterClan. All of the clans have a few special things about them and certain pelt colors and such. Well legend has it that four kits will be born with the old powers to defend the clans from the darkest of evils. (Real powers not bullshit ones). I still have to figure out most of it and I’m not sure Exactly what their powers will be. I think Darkheart (Black cat) will be able to come invisible and play with shadows and such. I’m not sure about the rest but Ashfire will be able to start fires and contain them or let them destroy everything. Flowerstem will have control of the earth things. Maybe being able to make plants grow or trap cats in vines and start controlled earthquakes. And Ripplepool (or whatever I named him whoops) can start storms and bend water to his will. I dunno. If you have any ideas feel free to share!

Moth’s FanClan Rehaul Part 3
This one I had a bit of trouble with, and it might not make complete sense... but you know what? I can always redo it
Under a readmore again to keep from taking up the whole screen
Part Four: Connection with Ancestors and Sacred Things
Moon Pool Equivalent
Each clan seeks to connect with their ancestors slightly differently, but an important location to all of them is something they call the Star Pool, a small body of water that seems to shimmer with the light of the stars. Hidden in a hard-to-find cave between OrchardClan and StreamClan, cats travel here to speak with their Ancestors and sometimes even Spirits or Patrons. A small opening above the pool allows light in and provides a way for spirits to enter and exit.
Sacred to Each Clan
I. StreamClan
To StreamClan, water has been an important part of their lives form the beginning. With their camp next to a clear-running stream and the ocean always in sight, StreamClan cats are surrounded by this element from birth.
Its not exactly explicitly sacred, as plenty of other things + creatures use water for a variety of purposes, but this clan holds it a bit higher In regard than most. Water is used for a number of rituals + practices. Bathing is done in a shallow, slow-moving part of the stream, and often as a community. Healers use water for communing with spirits and cleansing wounds, bodies, and ingredients. Water features heavily in many of their stories and songs, and they look up to the Patron of Water and similar spirits.
Many StreamClan cats collect things related to water: shells, seaweed, fish scales, waterweed, etc. These objects are used to decorate nests, dens, and sometimes the cats themselves. They are also often used in ceremonies.
II. OrchardClan
To this clan, nature is to be respected and revered. Trees, flowers, anything that blooms is especially loved. They watch over the trees in the orchard where they live, with old trees cared for meticulously. Very old trees, like those surrounding the camp, are given thanks for their long protection and giving to the environment. When trees die, there is a special ceremony/ritual to give thanks and make sure its’ leaving is peaceful. This varies depending on what caused it- fire, lightning, rot, etc.
Fruit is saved for special occasions, with rotten fruit set aside/left for the bugs and other decomposers. Some fruit can be and is eaten when rotting, as the effects can be considered desirable or entertaining. Such activities are restricted to specific celebrations, only for older members of the clan, and strictly monitored. (No matter how funny it might be to watch the cats around you get rip roaring drunk or high as a kite, there’s still a chance things could go seriously wrong, so medics are always somewhere close by.)
Pollinators are considered especially important, as they help to ensure new growth and the continued spread of important plants. When pollinator season rolls around, the clan is careful not to disturb them. Even so, cats are often found watching the insects go about their work, sometimes for hours.
III. EarthClan
EarthClan is similar to OrchardClan, though they tend to focus more on the earth itself. Most of the tending they do is on the hedges and other plants surrounding their camp. Instead, they tend to collect stones (& sometimes cool sticks). These are often arranged in patterns or stacked around the camp and territory. Some cats like to put them around their nests. The large standing stone towards the back of the camp, where announcements are made, is decorated with leaves, berries/berry paint, other rocks and basically anything a cat thinks will look cool or is spiritually significant. There are generations of decorations and designs; anything that gets worn or washed away is replaced by something new. It’s common to see a cat (or a few) by the stone, reading the stories and history upon it or adding something of their own.
Stone markings and formations decorate the forest where EarthClan makes their home. Some of them are graves, others places where spirits like to hang out. ...Some are there because somebody had an idea and decided to fulfill it wherever they happened to be at the time. This makes for a lot of interesting pieces. Old formations, those that have grown over or fallen apart, are left alone, never touched unless specifically told to.
IV. WildClan
Above all, WildClan appreciates freedom. To them, animals like birds, flying insects, or anything that can jump/fly/climb/run/swim out of reach is the epitome of free. Having space to run, climb, or swim is where they feel the most at home.
Feathers, bits of fur, sometimes antlers or bone- basically, anything that was lost or left behind naturally is free to take and use. These are often arranged in simple patterns around the camp or territory. Some, made of more sturdy materials, can be found on the walls of their dens- though not in the nursery or apprentices’ den, so as to minimize the risk of things falling or coming apart.
WildClan cats love the open sky, and paired with the expansive grassland that makes up a good portion of their home, it gives them the feeling of total freedom- no boundaries or obstacles (though some are fun and make a good challenge) to keep them in one place.

What does Nes do?
Nes is one of the main characters. She is in Earthclan and is the daughter of two hunters. She occasionally hunts with them. After a specific incident involving a bow and arrow made her decide to quit.
Now Nes has moved to the arts and design.

6. What are your groups’ camps like?
EarthClan
EarthClan makes their home in a clearing surrounded by thick, sturdy hedges. These are rigorously maintained and every cat helps to care for it at least once in their lives.
Dens are set partially in the hedge itself, with woven walls making up the rest of the outside. A large stone at the back of the camp is where the leader makes announcements, with generations of paintings around the base. All sorts of art can be found around the camp, including in the dens.
There are plenty of both shady and sunny spots, and an assortment of stones and logs scattered throughout the clearing for play and sunning.
WildClan
WildClan lives in a hidden hollow just inside the woods, with the entrance leading to the grasslands. Dens are cleverly hidden, but surprisingly spacious and comfortable inside.
Simple decorations of bone, feathers, antlers, and similar things are arranged around the camp and dens.
OrchardClan
OrchardClan resides in the ruins of an old house in the oldest part of the orchard-forest. The trees are so large and dense here that little sunlight gets through. Despite this, the area is bursting with plantlife- vines crawl along the walls, and flowers, moss, and other plants fill the space between.
Dens are tightly woven and supported by the ruins. Plants cover almost every inch, and many have vines or something similar hanging over the entrance.
StreamClan
StreamClan’s camp is located next to a deep bend in one of the numerous streams and creeks connecting the Lake to the sea. The water is shallow and slow-moving here, so it’s safe for cats of all ages.
Dens are made of tightly woven reeds and branches, with a waterproof mix of leaves and sealant. They are designed to float should any flooding occur, and are attached to an anchor point so they don’t float away.
Decorations of shells, fish scales, and sea glass can be found, filling the camp with colourful light and gentle clinking.

Random OC facts bc I’m bored and I love my cats.
-Cheetahwind is the villain of almost every timeline
-There’s a really old timeline that follows Wingclaw as the son of Lionblaze and Cinderheart
-Winclaw had two mates in his life: Sparkpelt and Heathertail
-Darkmoon, Cheetahwind, and Wingclaw became leaders at the exact same time
-Lightmoor was originally Yellowglow
-A second litter of kits were born and trained by the new leaders (Clawwing, trained by Wingclaw/star, Bloodcheetah by Cheetahstar, Glowyellow by Yellowglow, and Moondark by Darkmoon/Darkstar)
-All four of them (Wing, Yellow, Dark, and Cheetah) were formed for the Warrior’s Adventure Game by me and my family
-Cheetahwind could control Dark Forest cats and Wingclaw could summon StarClan cats (like Pokémon or Magi-Nation)
-Wingclaw had a total of three apprentices in his lifetime: Hollowclaw, Clawwing, and another cat whose name I can’t remember for the life of me
-Wingkit snuck out of camp PO3 style and tried to fight a fox. He got three scars on his back.
-The very first design of Wingy had rainbow eyes (I was in third grade shhhh)
-One version of Wingclaw had eight children
-Canonical Wing has three friends: Mosswish, the ThunderClan medicine cat, Leaffang, a SkyClan-turned-ThunderClan warrior, and (her original name was Gem-something and I still haven’t come up with a “proper” name for her)
-Another early version of Wingclaw had Lionblaze’s, Jayfeather’s, and Dovewing’s powers.
-I made him so OP it’s not even funny
-Wingstar was also the leader of EarthClan
-Cheetahstar formed CheetahClan out of RiverClan and the Dark Forest
-she’s a Tigerstar clone omg

Bramblepaw, new apprentice of EarthClan in @highlandclans along with his brother Thistlepaw. He’s a big boi, but he’s very stealthy on those big feet of his. He’ll probably end up being Brambleshadow or Brambleshade when he’s a warrior.

RAGGEDCLAW
raggedclaw is a pre-first generation earthclan warrior. he is a very big reddish-brown tabby tom with yellow eyes. raggedkit was born to fernflower and lightningheart alongside his littermates, crowflight and sharphawk. as an apprentice, raggedpaw was mentored by echostar (then echostep). he took palefur as his mate, and with her had two litters of kits: redflower and mooneyes, and later silverfeather and honeyshade. he was devastated when his mate died during kitting, and became severely depressed. later, he became the mentor of mousepaw, his first and only apprentice. raggedclaw retired to the elders den at a very old age, after becoming blind and deaf.
