Last few copies of this! Robert Oumaou’s Gwaksonné project saw three LP’s emerge in the 80s. Vwayagé is a deep exploration of pre-colonial Créole poetics, rhythms and politics. Focusing on the use of drum and voice his music explores endless protest folk, ambient atmospheres, electronic and spiritual jazz meditations, somehow simultaneously sharing brainwaves with #thegratefuldead and #pharoahsanders without too much confusion.
