First competitive half-marathon this year (I.e. Running with other people) but ever-so-slightly disappointed at time of 1:46. Was aiming for 1:40 but just couldn't keep up with the pacer. The 3 or 4 'hills' were a novel challenge for a runner used to flat East London but I gave as good as I could and went hard from the start. However my legs just couldn't keep up with the pace my brain wanted in the last 3 miles which always seem to go so slowly! #running #ealinghalfmarathon #exercise #fitness #fitfam (at Ealing Half Marathon CIC)

Another one from the @asicseurope Blackout Track. The experience has got me thinking a lot about focus and how much I rely on my watch when I'm running. This weekend I'm going to take @katehelencarter advice and stick some tape over my watch for my long Sunday run and cover my miles 100% on feel. 🏃‍♂️🙈🙉 I've also got my races lined up for the second half of 2018. Since running the @londonmarathon over a month ago it's been difficult to get back into my running but feel I'm getting there... slowly but surely. We been neighbours for 12 years but this is our first Parkrun side by side. . After last weeks #ealinghalfmarathon exploits I was content plodding along in my own world until Jedidiah rolled up beside me. He kept pushing me till the finish. .
