ok i love writing about writing so

there r a few different ways u can go about it. there are oneshots which can be smut or just like a scene from a life - eg if you're interested in shane taking care of chickens u could just write a scene of him looking after chickens. maybe with his internal pov, how it links to the rest of his life. basically u can find a part of the character ur interested in/fixated on and just like, explore it. thats my fav part about fanfiction is just EXPLORING!!!!!

which brings me to my next point that there are 2 diff types of writers (probs an overgeneralisation but this came from george rr martin so blame him) - architects and gardeners.

so like im a gardener i love just sitting down in front of a blank document being like whats gonna happen!!!! and figuring it out as i go. writing a line, then thinking, then writing the next line, then thinking. i get a lot of feedback about my dialogue feeling natural and i think its bc of this, because they respond to each other, bc im not trying to get to a specific goal point

but if ur more of an architect then i guess it would be more of a case of what i said earlier, find something you're interested in. like when u think about him what do u think about? any scenarios? any pairings you think are good? if so, what might be the situation that led to them meeting or making out? then you can plan plan plan and write write write

i would also add to set your word count goal low if its your first time writing fic!! if you enjoy reading 60k epics then you might want to write that but i cut my teeth on years of 5k-15k fics, much much much easier to start off with, much easier to finish!!

firstly i just want to say that the whole point of the law of assumption is that it makes the "impossible" possible. Meaning, that you could want to desire the most ABSURB things (e.g. a magic island where trees talk & fairies dance around all day) & its quite literally possible. -okay. someone Else has to have died. with a group that large, satsuki can't be the only loss. there won't be 20+ people all happy and fine... at least One smaller group split off, someone went by themselves and no one in the fam ever heard from them again, etc etc.

-i think keisuke is the only member of the fam who works at the foundation, like #to me that's what's real. there may be others who work in fields sponsored by/related to the foundation (e.g. working in agriculture in land "owned" by the kisa foundation as much as such property still exists), but keisuke is the only one Directly involved, like has a foundation id and etc.

-bc of the aforementioned prior deaths/splinterings, and keisuke being the most involved w satsuki, he far and away has the most reason to go w the kisa foundation. they were there in 6.5, it's headed by kg survivors, who both knew satsuki in her final moments, and having experienced it have more of a... "they know what happened, they know what shouldve been done to stop it"

i think keisukes just so.. it went from finding satsuki -> coping w what happened to her by working against the despair that caused it. it's such a crux of what drives him, and something that's so unique to him, i just.. i can see him drifting apart from the other siblings and them Letting him ? i do think theres 1-3 people he still sees. at least once a year, w one being every few months.. but really the days are just kinda passing for him. i keep wanting to compare his state to a Condition but i truly don't think its derealization or dysthymia i think he's just Detached. (giving him a sibling to live w sounds so fun though i see u so so so bad)

Speaking of siblings and iranami family death, i have another fanmade sibling who died in the tragedy. And i can probably imagine up another who also died.

Nyways, i understand him feeling detatched and empty. Death of someone youre close to is unbearable. Maybe he had a hard time eating after finding out about her death? Especially if Rei told him more details about why she died. Not just that she killed haruhiko, but that they were all starving in the ballroom. Maybe she removes the detail that satsuki and haruhiko had eaten most of the food, maybe not.

So learning that she basically died over food makes him less hungry and more bitter. Maybe he stares at something hes meant to eat and thinks "satsuki died over this?"

And, building off of one of your headcanons, this was the only time he willingly ate seafood without sauces and seasonings. Because everything had lost its flavor to him. Everything was dull to him.

For even more angst, how about this;

When he begins to recover from his grief, he goes outside, onto a roof, and stargazes. There seems to be a bunch of new stars that he can spot, but one shines brighter than the rest. He smiles and murmurs; "i always knew you'd be the brightest star," talking to satsuki(or the ghost of her) like shes right next to him.

Do u think the north will be separate from the rest of the other. 6 kingdoms?

I think what's more likely is the eradication of all kingdoms to create a singular nation (i.e. as it once was), because I think the conclusion of ASOIAF is really supposed to be about unifying the land and its people.

The concept of the Fisher King (which Bran is obviously inspired by) is of a figurehead who represents the land and the wellbeing of its people - in mythology he's more of a symbol, but I think King Bran in practice will also have powers and abilities that make him a King who is able to govern, but for the good of the people and the land rather than the good of certain factions or others.

That might leave elements of feudalism still in-state (e.g. the Manderlys will still rule White Harbour etc) because I can't imagine Westeros getting rid of monarchy and feudalism all in one fell swoop (though who knows, they might), but Bran will not become King because his Ned's eldest living son or because he's a Stark, but because Bloodraven chose him and because this is a story about magic returning to Westeros. And Bran is the most magical guy in the series. He will be succeeded I'm sure by the person he himself chooses, the same way Bloodraven chose him.

So really there's no point in the North separating from the rest of Westeros because it implies that the North is now embracing the notion of 'the land and its people' and leaving the South to continue the game of thrones, so they... make all the same mistakes as before I guess?? And that really defeats the point of what King Bran is supposed to represent, which is like.... land and unity and the good of all the people.

I think Dany is a good and earnest ruler based on everything we've seen so far, who herself strives to embrace land, unity and the people as much as she can. But even supposing that from here nothing goes wrong and she takes the throne and rules a perfect rule and marries a good man and has a host of good children... sooner or later, it'll be the same shit all over again. Maybe Dany never makes a single mistake, maybe she raises her children so well that they never do either, but what about the grandchildren? What about their children? etc.

Like idk are we meant to believe that the return of the Targaryen dynasty and indeed ruling dynasties in general is a net good because for one generation or two, the Targs in charge were nice people who would only use their dragons for the right reasons? Like sure, and then what? You don't even need one evil monarch, just one ineffectual one for everything to go to shit in approximately five mins - look at Viserys I.

Anyway I digress but I think that the North will absolutely remain united with the rest of Westeros because Bran is going to be King and that's what Bran as King is meant to represent: one land one people etc, or rather Westeros itself. He's removed from the politics that would even define what the North is. And there's not going to be any room left for absolute monarchy when this series is done, so the South will remain tied to the North under Bran.

much like matthew h. watson of “SUPERMEGA” fame i, too, have what one might call obsessively compulsive behaviors constricted/fueled by bedridden anxieties, religious upbringings, and a series of unfortunate events. this…thing (hereto i shall now start referring to as “ocd” for convenience) brought me closer to God, while simultaneously making that relationship a lot more circumstantial. which, if you didn’t know, is an *unhealthy relationship*. one of the most unhealthy aspects of this having ocd with religion, among other things, is the practice of prayer. totally personally, the way my brain processes the concept of prayer is as follows:

address your God.

use “thees and thous”, since that’s the most powerful language to use when talking to God…according to this book i found, as everyone has always spoken good king’s english, especially totally verifiable prophets.

repeat words or phrases that have been previously established within widely accepted prayers, which you have observed through life e.g. “no harm or accident will come to them”, and the like. because those are the sorts of prayers God has been proven to understand and grant, so failure for this part of the prayer is unlikely; even if God couldn’t accept the other parts of my prayer. at the very least “no harm accident will come to them” is a tried and true tactic. (as if prayer is a battlefield, and i strategize conversation with an all powerful; all loving being).

definitely-maybe try to have an actual conversation with your God, saying thank u & how much u love Them etc etc…but you’re probably not worthy of conversing with such a great thing—and so u put the actual possibility of a productive and truly nice prayer on hold since you might’ve opened your eyes or not knelt down properly—dropping your worthiness points with Heavenly Father :(

of course, still pending the fact that you must forgive everybody or else God can’t forgive you, rendering the entire prayer invalid; nonetheless, 100% of this ocd stuff is covered by what might be the most valuable part of this scripture, to me, anyway……"for your Father knows what you need before you ask him”. i feel touched enough by how insane of an actual promise that is to actually believe it. and so, with the assumption that a God who must be all loving knows me pretty well, i tried it out. while i do not have a perfect memory, to the best of my current ability, i have made many amends and have forgiven all who wrong me. wherefore, i’m soooo worthy enough for this “Lord’s Prayer”.

its been about a month since i started frequently trying to memorize and attempt to use the lord’s prayer, and the results are interesting. perhaps this good feeling some might call “joy”, is due to being properly medicated for the first time, but isn’t that an act of God in its own way? in the end, whenever i feel like i need or should be praying, doing the lord’s prayer is a good starting point to actually remove enough of this ocd before considering if i actually need to do a big ol’ prayer. this has opened me up to have much more productive prayers, instead of praying, simply because of anxiety.

so what did we learn? ocd sucks so much ass, and religion rewards the absolute FUCK out of it. but doing the lord’s prayer has kind of helped a lot…so maybe try it out or find something like that for your own stupid lil’ head <3. super easy, right??

note from nia: quick post 4 me to rest after the last one aheehoo. omg story time i accidentally got a guy to tell me he liked me bc i was being oblivious (rlly in denial bc i was like nah no way) but i don't think it was my fault he didn't know what platonic meant and didn't check before saying it was platonic ?? huh

felix showing them the ins and outs of his book collections, mentioning that he's only ever shown people he really trusts. mc goes :) ? because we're best friends? and it isn't like he wants to hurt their feelings so he says yes. BFFs for sure,

the type of guy who would make friendship bracelets, or go shopping for little trinkets and accepting one from mc that says "I <3 U" with shaking hands

crying thinking about the scene where he kisses mc as his last resort and mc being like "don't worry about it! we're still friends" and he just Passes Out

pretty much anytime mc calls felix their friend a part of him dies because yes. they're friends. he enjoys being friends. but at this point he's starting to wonder if the problem is actually him

honestly i'm not sure how long mc could go being oblivious before felix either a) gives up or b) finally blurts out he likes them

like imagining felix ask if they'd like to go out somewhere to eat and mc's like yeah sure! i love Hanging Out with you :) and he stares at them. thinking, contemplating,,

mc starts getting a little confused (concerned) and calls out his name and he finally manages to blurt out "as a date."

"huh?" "i—i wanted to take you on a date?" "..oh. Oh! oh?"

mc starts connecting the puzzle pieces, "you like me?" and felix thinks he might fall to the floor. "Yes. yes i do, though i see my attempts at flirting weren't very effective."

or based on canonic events...chapter 9 bath scene. and if that was skipped (cue felix sitting in the bath alone with his head in his hands),, there is no way they'd get out of felix dying for them and finding him without a confession. he just Died, and sure it isn't the first time, but maybe this was a sign he should Go For It

either way at least now that mc knows they figure things out a little quicker and felix is bolder,, a little clearer. for the sake of their mental health and sanity

e.g. felix telling them to stay close so they don't get lost and mc grabs his hand , felix taking initiative in physical affection by bringing their head to rest on his shoulder when they're tired , mc facing him the next time they sleep in the same bed and felix wrapping his arm around them ,, yeah.
