The complications of russian grammar

4. How did they start living together? Do they move? How do they choose the place?

After Chiara’s residency was over and it was obvious she would be staying in Boston, whilst Sienna left with Doctors Without Borders to Philiphinnes and Elijah went to NYC, Ethan didn’t really hesitate and proposed moving in with him - she didn’t even try to say no:D

Ethan’s apartment is great and even when Matilda is born, they stay there because it is close to the hospital, to her kindergarten, etc. It is only when E&C decide to go for adoption when Matilda is 5 and adopt twin girls that they decide to move into a house.

17. Most trivial thing they fight over?

Interns, especially when Chiara is attending too. Ethan insists that she is too soft with them and “you are not supposed to be their friend!” and Chiara fights him because “and there is no need for you to be an asshole around them!”. They are both brilliant and stubborn AND working together, which causes some trivial work-related fights, but other than that, they fight rarely.

26. Who cooks normally?

Ethan. Chiara doesn’t even try once she finds out that Ethan is way too good in it.

39. How do they spend Christmas and NYE?

Uhh, I would probably like to avoid talking about Christmas, as it would spoil the whole fic I would like to post soon, but let’s just say that the first three (= Chiara’s residency) Christmases are spent working and after that, sometimes they work anyway, or they visit Alan in Providence (Chiara’s family is out of picture on Christmas). Basically they do not really care about Christmas until Matilda is born - then they make sure that they are home and spend Christmas as a family.

As for NYE, some years are spent in San Francisco with Chiara’s fam, some are spent at some kind of party with their friends in Boston, some are spent at Naveen’s cabin when they want to avoid all the chaos and many people and fireworks.

41. What would they do if the other one was hurt?

They are both the kind of people that can stay rational and calm and reasonable most of the time, but once the other one is hurt/in danger, they go crazy. It depends on the severity of ���hurt”, ofc, so if it is something small, Ethan is angry with Chiara for not being more careful and Chiara is trying to stay calm but is internally very nervous and just needs to repeat “he is okay he is okay he is okay”. If it would be something serious, Ethan would just keep pacing around, cursing under his breath, eventually punch a wall if everything was too much. Chiara would pray - her relationship with God/religion is more than complicated, but she can’t help it and when her loved ones are seriously hurt, she just keeps muttering “please don’t take them away, please save them, I beg you make everything okay” (and also she would probably go for a cigarette or two... or seven)
