imo it's less that melinoë hates/is apathetic about mortals than she considers the gods a necessary check on mortal ambition. and yeah sure sometimes they go too far (see: arachne) but they're more necessary than not

The ashes might have settled but the remnants of the war would still be felt for some time to come. They still had enemies and other threats to eliminate in order to make the transition to the peace they'd been fighting for over the last 5 years possible.
The three of them had been hunkered down at the table pouring over maps and letters and reading through various books. Edelgard would focus on Fodlan's transition while Zenia Dzifa and Hubert began the task of rooting out Those Who Slither in The Dark.
They knew it would not be easy and they knew they'd still need allies in the upcoming fight. Fodlan's war may have been declared over but a new battle was about to begin in the shadows.
Dorothea leaned against the doorway, watching them all deep in planning mode. She knew the looks on their faces. They would be in for a long journey. She'd fought for almost all of her life until that point, had seen so much and lost so much that she knew she could not join her. Dorothea would happily follow her wife through the rest of their lives together but this was a course she would not go on. She stood in that doorway, trying to calm her nerves enough to speak to her. She didn't have to wait long though because Zenia had taken notice of her and was heading her way.
Smoothing her hair behind her ear, she began smiling the closer Zenia got to her. Watching as her royal blue coils swayed in rhythm with every step she made until she finally stood in front of her.
Her smile had not been convincing enough by the worried look on Zenia's face.
"Blossom…"
She didn't have to say another word as she cradled Dorothea's hand to her chest. Dorothea knew her statement was a question and she was ready to confess. She would just tell her she could not make this journey with her. There was so much recovery that needed to be done. She wanted to help in those efforts. She wanted to stay with the children and help more who might have been displaced by the war. Dorothea had worked up a grand speech for their discussion. Yet as she stood there, looking into her wife's eyes, her hand nestled over the heart that had been promised to her shortly after the battle in Fhirdiad, Dorothea could not find the words. She tried to fight the brimming tears but Zenia's hand caressed her cheek and she could no longer restrain herself.
"I cannot join you." It was all she could say as tears began streaming down her face. She swallowed hard as her chest tightened, awaiting a response.
Zenia remained quiet, almost contemplative Dorothea thought. Her hand moved from her cheek and cradled the nape of her neck as she pulled her in closer and kissed her forehead.
Zenia whispered to her as their foreheads touched, "I promised Edie I would help bring lasting peace to Fodlan and this is my method. I will not ask for it to be yours."
The weight Dorothea had been carrying fell away as she wrapped her free arm around her. She had worked herself up despite knowing she had a partner that could remain calm in the face of the seemingly undefeatable. In that moment, she let her partner's calmness wash over her as well. They stood there in silence and just embraced for a few minutes. She was reluctant to let her go but she knew that Zenia needed to get back to Hubert and Shamir. Dorothea finally released her and grabbed her hand, kissing it gently as she took a small step back from the doorway. She would focus her efforts on their burgeoning family and helping others recover from everything. That was her path now and she was committed to it.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know, it’s been forever. Lol, I forget about this thing from time to time - SUE ME !
Long story short, I’ve graduated with an HBA Specialization in Political Science from UofT. And as of last week Thursday I have now also graduated with my MPPA from Carleton University, in Ottawa where i sort of kind of live not really maybe probably who knows #COVID19 (yeah let’s not go into that)
Anyhow, random thought at 12:27am.
I’ll be starting a job June 1st, in Ottawa, and no one knows except:
Josh
Malika
Dzifa
My parents
Sort of Cris ?
Everyone else.... yeah they think I’m staying home.
When I was leaving I had the Archibalds look at me and tel me that I was wasting my time and that I made the wrong decision to go. They felt that they would be at a loss if they didn’t tel me that before I left.... this was maybe a week before I was ready to move out two years ago.
Isaac and Diana think this is just a facade. Not once have they asked about the program. But now he’s asking me about a student ministries position that he wants me to fill.
Many people have told me that I’m running from a call.
I guess it kind of makes sense for those who see me so passionate about the Church and about worship and about youth.
But no one really asks me about life outside of that. I mean, Josh did.... but only last week. It kind of bothers me actually. Like, people don’t really care about that side. They like me the way they want me. Nothing else fits.
But in my program and at school I am this person of promise. Who people think will go far. Who will change lives. Who will do big things. Tbh, I’m not sure if I believe those allegations lol, but ultimately I am told that I am a leader and a forced to be reckoned with in the government.
So how am I to reconcile this ?
How am I supposed to do “right”
I once again find myself in boxes. Where my worlds look different in each. But also, no one cares to open them up unless they’re in it.
There’s more to me yenno ?
Not quite sure how many people know that.
I also, wrestle with the idea of being in the government forever. Unless that means talking to people, being with people, hearing what people have to say.... I don’t want it long term.
It also has always been a dream to just do worship, and be with youth, and speak life over people. Do retreats, do conferences, share what God has taught me over the years. I’m by NO MEANS an expert but I AM passionate about it.
So again, where does this leave me ?
Not quite sure.
Lol God, help a sista out 🤷🏾‍♀️✌🏾

BETTER AT 5 – OSWALD OKAITEI. 05.05
Oswald d’Atl Entertainer, you know, there is this language that mummy Abla Dzifa Gomashie would usually use in communicating with us that I didnt quite understand. It was silent language because what did the talking for her on this very one were her actions.

You have mummy never attend an event late and that is she speaking. You would watch how she chides an intolerant person back in line and…

Having Intercourse On A First Date Doesn’t Make A Woman Cheap- Dzifa Sweetness
Having Intercourse On A First Date Doesn’t Make A Woman Cheap- Dzifa Sweetness
Relationship coach and sex expert, Dzifa Sweetness, has stated that women who have sex on a first date should not be tagged as cheap or a prostitute.
Speaking as a guest on the Love Doctor on eTV Ghana’s adult edutainment show, ‘In Bed with Adwen’, Dzifa Sweetness stated that a woman allowing a man to have sex with her on a first date doesn’t mean she has nothing good to offer, like Kumchacha…

I've gotten a few new followers the past few days so first off hello and welcome to my corner of the Tumblrsphere 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
My blog is a blend of all kinds of things from Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Animal Crossing New Horizons, & other video games to uplifting & celebrating Black women and Black woman centered art to architecture & house design to sharing and squealing over many of the works and creations of non-white fans/fans of color across various fandoms.
Here's my current roster of canon OCs: Ryal Shepard (Mass Effect Trilogy), Briva Tabris (Dragon Age), Sonika Hawke (Dragon Age), Alcina Cadash (Dragon Age), and Kamaria Adaar (Dragon Age). I also have a handful of Fire Emblem Three Houses custom professors - Zenia Dzifa, Zion, Zane, and Zuriya. More OCs to come later this year!
I speak out against racism and antiblackness in fandom when I have the spoons for it which isn't too often because I deal with that shit enough in my real life. I will warn you now - don't bring any instances of -isms and -phobias to my inbox to bring it to my attention. That is an immediate block because I'm no one's attacker to be summoned at your leisure.
With that out of the way, welcome to my pink salt palace and remember to be mindful and kind 😁
