i see your insanity about the 2005 recording of pretty girls and i raise you the solo acoustic rendition

dont even get me STARTED on the solo acoustic rendition!!! are you TRYING to melt my soul?!?!

the acoustic version is what made me fall in love with pretty girls, the way she gives you time to sit with each line. the silence of it. the way her voice breaks in all the right places. the restrained guitar and the way it echoes. the way its going back to how the song was originally written (with the original lyrics AND the single strums of an acoustic guitar!!! you can practically hear the writing process) its such a vulnerable performance and i feel it in my gut every time i watch it.

with your post on “lesbians can do whatever they want actually”, i always think about why THIS is the main discourse. no one’s arguing over whether or not gay men have relationships with women, nobody’s screaming about how ace people can’t ever have sex, no one’s arguing for days on end how to define bisexual. we’re really hyperfocused on policing lesbians which… feels homophobic in and of itself

exactly. like why are you so concerned with telling lesbians, specifically, what they can and cant do? reeks of homophobia and misogyny. (i will say tho i do see so much of that exact discourse about both ace and bi people that you mentioned, so it’s definitely out there.)

what is your favorite album :)

OOOH okay so hold on this is a . tough one. however my favorite album of all time is Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. That aside, I've been looping Transgender Dysphoria Blues a lot recently. all of Against Me!'s music is literally so. AURHG. good. for fob i dont have a distinct favorite because i cant choose but it's between Folie, IOH, and Under the Cork Tree. And for MCR it's obv three cheers but also I have a special place for Bullets in my heart. not Favorite but i would die in her arms if i could you get what im saying ?

15. rank the methods of death: freezing, burning, drowning

Okay I did this already but Liz just told me how freezing is actually not a bad way to go? anyways my answer stays the same but I'll change my reasoning

burning: Okay so like, it can be over the fastest yk? like burn up really fast and yeah it'll be over

freezing: so apparently when freezing, you just kind of slow down and then kinda die without really knowing? which doesnt sound too bad, however, i really really hate the cold. this is being picky but i'd really fucking hate the time before i started losing consciousness. i dont like being cold

drowning: literally put any of the natural deaths and drowning will ALWAYS be at the bottom of my list. thinking about death doesnt freak me out but jesus fuck does thinking about drowning terrify me. sounds like a HORRIBLE way to go
