Just looking at that small dragon and being told this belongs to someone else. Well he certainly didn’t see the alleged owner anywhere. Mika was personally being bullied by his stomach right now.

“Can I at least have a wing...”

No fair. This was perhaps the second smallest dragon he’d seen in his life time.

“You better go away. You smell tasty.”

For the first time in an hour, Ai’s gaze shifted from the clouds overhead to a rustling nearby. No person passing had gained his attention, but that didn’t sound like a person...

Slender, small, scaly, winged. A dragon? ... There were far stranger things in this city. He didn’t have much room to talk to begin with. “Is anger a healthy emotion?” he asked, not really expecting an answer.

“Whoa, sorry little dude.”

Lowain’s brow was quirked at the little dragon flying in front of his stall. He didn’t even know if it understood him, or what it was even doing here for that matter.

“I can’t get you any food if you can’t pay and uhh, I’d be real surprised if ya could.”

[his boot coming down hard on a felled shamblers head, the moth sighed, pushing a hand through his hair. this was… a lot. his fight instinct was slowly wearing out, the adrenaline feeling more like a thick jelly, and he figured he’d need to get out of there soon. very soon, in fact.]

[and so, he took off.]

[though shiroki wasn’t a very strong flier, he could keep in the air for a good while before running on empty. unfurling the shimmering, snowy wings, he pushed himself off of the ground, glancing down as the few straggling undead filled in the empty spot he left behind. ew… this wasn’t something he ever thought he’d deal with. like he’d suddenly been thrown into some cheesy zombie horror movie. but, for once, the concept of zombies actually struck a bit of fear into his hardened heart.]

[maybe it was the idea of his mother... no.]

[shaking his head to push the thought aside, he headed off, though narrowing his eyes as he noticed… something. in the air.]

[was that a dragon what the fuck.]

[he slowly fluttered closer, just watching for a moment in utter disbelief.]
