Bathbombs don't actually explode

A very amateur x reader one shot featuring Anton

I kinda headcannon he just assumed anything with bomb in its title actually explodes

Throwing down the last few bags from your shopping haul, you take a breath and look over the table and all your assortment of goods. Candles, various types of skincare products, and probably one too many bath bombs lie in front of you. It was supposed to be your night out with Anton, but after hearing how tired he was over the phone earlier, you decided to switch plans and surprise him with a much more relaxing alternative, a nice relaxing spa night.

Looking down at the assortment of bathbombs on the table, contemplating whether you should have even gotten that many. You think back to when you walked into that shop. A wave of fragrances strong enough to push someone away had hit you. Various soaps, sugar scrubs, and other bath products overflowed the shelves. What scent were you even supposed to get? Rose? citrus? Maybe a vanilla? The lady at the shop suggested lavender, it's supposed to be soothing. Or at least that's what the lady said. Maybe she was just saying it to sell you something. But it's too late now, you've already bought everything and don't think you could return bath bombs.

The water ran out the faucet, causing a soothing crash to fill the bathroom. It was a nice warm temperature, perfect for a stressful day. Dumping in some sort of soap you watch the bubbles form. It felt a little childish, but who cared? No one else would have been in that room besides you two. A candle had been placed within sight of the tub, not wanting it to be too close to the water nor did you needed it catching anything on fire. A soft floral scent fills the air after a bit of preparation. And it seemed you finished just in time as you could hear the door being opened and almost slammed shut.

It took a bit of convincing to get Anton to agree with having a spa night. His stubborn attitude made it difficult to convince him a bath like this would help soothe him after his rough day. But after some time, he gave in, still rather skeptical about it all. He sits in the tub as you scrub the top of his head while you talk about your day. He grunts occasionally in response, feeling you hands scrub through his rough and spiked hair. A moment or so passes as Anton has sunken down into the tub. His head just poking out from above the water as you rinse his hair out.

Putting on the conditioner you remember about the bath bombs. Anton's eyes lit up ever so slightly as he watched you run out from the bathroom and come back. Pulling a purple one out from the bag, you plop it into the tub and watch it fizz. The water and bubbles turning a soft purple and the smell of lavender fills the room. The two of you watch it as it eventually sizzles out. Anton looked rather confused and began asking where was the bomb, the ball just fizzled out, that wasn't a bomb, that was a fizzy something. Explaining didn't seem to help at all. "Well why would you call it a bomb if it doesn't explode?" He says, crossing his arms as you wash out the conditioner in his hair. He wasn't wrong, but the concept of an actual explosive for you bath didn't sound really fun.

After getting out from the tub, you let Anton dry his hair himself, the sounds if the blow dryer from a room away can be heard as you lie down in bed. You yawn as you look up at the ceiling, hoping that Anton had enjoyed your alternative to a night out. And as you get comfortable, a thump can be heard followd by the sounds of the bed's springs creeking. Two arms wrap around you and pull you in closer. Anton places his chin on your shoulder, his spiked and almost sharp beard poking your cheek. He let's out a sigh as he wraps himself a little closer to you. The two of you lied there cuddled. Bits of lavender fill the air and Antons snoring can be heard. It wasn't a big extravagant night like you had hoped it to be, but it was an enjoyable and comforting one in the end.

Haiiiii can u write like, headcanons on confessing that u like them to Anton, Annie, and Brulo? Idk if that's much to ask for I'm new to asking for these things :<

Hey! I can do that! That's not too much at all!

Confessing to Anton, Annie, and Brulo.

Anton

* Talk about the most oblivious man on earth. You could have been flirting with him for months and he wouldn't have even guess it. He'd be confused at first. "You mean like, uh, romantically?"

* You two were at Brulo's when you let it slip that yes, you were interested in him romantically, he nearly fell off his stool, it was hilarious. If Brulo was in earshot he also might've had a heart attack. Everyone is equally as shocked that you find this man attractive.

* But you have your own little reasons. Anton's flattered, to say the least, but also defensive. He'll probably first try to laugh it off as a joke, but if you keep insisting you're serious he's just gonna keep brushing you off for the night.

"Uh... Thanks, I guess."

Give him a couple days for it to really settle and let him sober up a little before bringing it up again.

* He'll blush, you won't see it but he's blushing. I got a feeling this man has some insecurities about himself but hearing that you like him does make him feel a little bit better.

* He'll probably be a little nicer to you after that(not that he was super mean to you before but there's a difference.) and will ask you out for drinks. He'll really wanna get to know you more before you two become something official.

Annie

* Being friends with both Anton and Annie was an interesting time, considering how different they each are compared to one another. You'd have confided in Anton before about your little crush on Annie before. He was shocked, to say the least. "Of all the women in Boiler City- no, the world, and you just had to choose Annie?!"

* You have to remind Anton that you don't choose who you fall for, it just happens. He still says you're crazy. You were hoping for pointers on how to ask her but you got made fun of instead.

* You and Annie were out getting ballble tea(Brulo's bc out her lifetime supply. You still had to pay for yours...) and were walking back when you decided to finally confess to her.

* She pauses for a moment, brain processing, then spits her ballble tea out in laughter. You're stuck standing there, engulfed in embarrassment while waiting for her to calm down and finally speak again.

* "HAHA, ah... Yeah, I know."

* W H A T.

* You ask her what she means, she says she's known for a while now. "Also, everybody loves me, who wouldn't have a crush on this?" She gestures to herself. For a moment, you seemed to have forgotten how big her ego is. You just laugh and shake your head, what else can you do?

* She wouldn't probably immediately reciprocate, unless she secretly had a crush on you too. She'd poke fun at you and make jokes about it. However, one day you might find her just randomly grabbing your hand to hold... Or she'll bite you slighty softer.

Brulo

* Please don't let Anton OR Annie find out about this, you will be made fun of nonstop by them. "HAHA!!! You're crushin' on the old man?! That's hilarious!" Followed by endless jeers.

* You were a regular at Brulo's, slowly over your visits you found yourself falling for the older bartender. Always looking forward to seeing him, finding yourself enthralled by his little stories he would tell you, admiring him from a distance, and even occasionally bringing him a gift.

* You're smart, deciding to tell him before you start ordering drinks so he doesn't think you're just speaking out your ass while tipsy or drunk. He's taken aback, not really thinking anyone would catch feelings for a guy like him.

* Much like Anton, Brulo wouldn't believe you at first, he'd think you're just messing with him. "You sure you didn't drink before you came here?" You assure him that no, you didn't have anything before you came to the bar.

* After a little bit he starts to believe you, but will still be cautious for a little while. After a couple days or weeks though, it'll finally hit him that you're not joking and he'll get flustered. Then get frustrated that he's flustered because "he's a grown ass man".

* If he's interested in you back he'll ask you in private if you'd perhaps wanna go on a date with him sometime. He's very old schooled and really when it comes down to it, a gentleman. Just be prepared to date a very clammy, sweaty guy.

* Would be very sweet on the date, very nervous too. You'd have to be constantly reassuring him that everything's fine and that he doesn't have to worry. Would also offer you his arm when you two are walking or his jacket if you ever get cold.

For sure! Anton x Reader Fluff! * It was a long day for him, and one of the more tough ones at that. He ended up over doing it at work and pulled a muscle somewhere in his back. At first, he thought he was fine, but then he got home and went to grab a beer and- oh yeah. It hurt him real bad. * Luckily for him you're there. You were in the living room when you heard him grunt out in pain, you sit up from your original position on the couch. "You alright?" ... "Yeah..." He comes hobbling in a few moments later and very gingerly takes a seat next to you on the couch to join in watching whatever's on the TV. * "... What was that noise?" Another moment of silence, debating if he really wants you to worry. "I uh, I pulled a muscle at work, s'nothing serious." You sit up and turn to him. "Do you want me to rub your back? It might help." * He glances at you from the side, he was a big boy! He was tough, he didn't think that he needed help from anyone... but it was you, and he couldn't lie, it did sound kinda nice. * He scoots up a little in his seat to expose his back to you and very carefully you start massaging his back. It takes you a little bit but eventually you find the knot that's bothering him, he jumps a little when you find it, but as you start working it out he melts into your hands. * After you're done he stretches a little and with a small grin turns to you and says, "Thanks for that." To which he leans back and puts his arm up on the back of the couch. You take the chance and immediately cuddle up to him- ignoring the fact that he hasn't showered and still probably smells like sweat and a little bit of booze. * You two stay like that before eventually dozing off to sleep for the night.
