Overprotective (Brandon Walsh, Dylan McKay x Reader)
Tumblr media
Description : you are best friends with Dylan and Brandon, and let just say that they can be a tad overprotective when it comes to there best friend y/n
Requested : nope
Warnings : None
"So... would you like to go out with me this friday night?" asked a guy who had his hand above you're head, you on the other hand was twirling your money pieces blushing as the boy.
"I would love to." you said as you smiled, he beamed a big grin before walking away
Meanwhile Brandon and Dylan were watching the whole thing happen.
“Way to go y/n!” Said Brandon as he held his hand up giving you a high five which to you was a surprise but you gave him one anyway
“Thanks… guys…” you said as you shut your locker before walking away “either of you want to tell me why you were spying on mine and masons conversation?” You asked as you turned around to face the boys with a smirk on your face, clutching your books close to your chest
“Umm… would you look at that Brenda is calling for me.” Stammered Dylan “sorry but I got to go…”
With that Dylan left
“And I need to meet andrea about that… article for the blaze.”
And at that Brandon gave you a pat on the shoulder before walking away, making you roll your eyes before walking away.
——
“Ignore my brother he can be a bit dramatic at times.” Said Brenda as she was helping you get ready for your date, you, on the other hand, didn't mind it.
"Oh it's fine, you should have seen my dad, he wouldn't even let me out of the house," you said
"Don't worry, mines the same way when Dylan comes around," said Brenda as she put the last remaining hairspray onto your hairstyle "Perfect."
You looked at yourself in the mirror, admiring yourself. Your hair was done up in curls as it perfectly framed your face
"Thanks, Bren, your the best." you said as you hugged your best friend, that was soon interrupted when Brandon walked through the door
"Now if that guy starts to make you uncomfortable, let me know." Said Brandon which earned a slap from Brenda.
"Brandon!"
"What, just saying."
Beep Beep
"That's him, bye guys," you said as you grabbed your purse before darting out the door
"They grow up so fast," said Brandon as he faked a tear, Brenda rolls her eyes at her twin brother

Afternoons at the Peach Pit//Brandon Walsh Fluff
Tumblr media
A/N: Requested by @winchester90210
Prompt: The reader goes to the Peach Pit every day to see Brandon Walsh and Steve can’t take it anymore.
You don't know how you got in the habit of going to the Peach Pitt every day. You went in one day with your friends for dinner and the next thing you know you're there every single day almost. You weren't even eating every time, most of the time you just get a milkshake or a coffee and try and sit at the counter with your homework in front of you so you don't feel so guilty about taking up an entire booth by yourself.
"So what are we studying for tonight?" A playful voice ask, leaning up against the counter beside you.
You looked up into the face of the person that brings you back here every day just to talk to. Brandon smiles at you and you swallow the nervous lump in your throat to smile back. He shouldn't look that good in that teal uniform shirt but you had a hunch he'd probably look great in anything. You realize he's staring at you, still waiting for your answer.
"History tonight. There's a test coming up in Henderson's class next week and I'm completely unprepared."
Brandon laughed, "Oh come on with the way you're in here studying every day you should ace that test. I think Nat is even thinking about charging you rent."
You laugh along with him even though you can feel a blush creeping up your face and suddenly the pen in your hands is fascinating.
"Hey, Brandon!"
You both look up to see Steve Sanders and Dylan McKay setting themselves up in a both across the room.
Brandon waves. "I'll be right back."
You nod and watch him go, tucking a stray piece of hair behind your ear as you watch him. You didn't notice the way Steve was staring at you while you did so. You tried to turn your attention back to your notes and actually do the studying you told Brandon you came here to do. You use to be terrible at focusing on studying in public places, hiding out in the library instead, but over the last month or so you’d been camping out at the Peach Pit, you’d adapted. You were focused on your notebook when an arm snaked around your shoulders, suddenly made you jump back to reality. You looked up surprised to see Steve Sanders standing there with his arm around you and a chestier grin on his face that made your brow crease slightly.
“Oh, hey Steve...”
“Hey, Y/N, look I was hoping you could settle an argument for me and Brandon over there.”
He gestures behind his shoulder to where Brandon is standing with Dylan, staring at you and Steve mortified.
“Um, sure.” You agreed, feeling nervous at the sudden attention.
You had a class with Steve once and have gone to school with him for years but you had never had a conversation with him before.
“So, Brandon?” He wiggled his eyebrows and nodded like there was some secret going on between the two of you and this was all he needed to say.
You shook your head, “What about him?”
You glanced over his shoulder at where Brandon was saying something to Dylan and still staring in your direction, “You totally want him right?”
You almost choked at his words, looking up at him in shock. Your lips opened and closed like a fish out of water, blinking in surprise. Had you been that obvious?
Steve smiled smugly and nodded, “You totally do don’t you?! I told him you were coming here for more than the coffee!”
“Wh-,What?” You managed to stutter out.
Brandon chose that minute to rush over to the counter. “Hey, Steve come on man. Just let it go.”
He tried to joke it off but from the way he wouldn’t meet your eye you knew he had heard everything.
“I told you I was right Brandon!” Steve laughed, “Now would you just man up and ask-”
Your whole face went hot and you had to get out of there.  Without waiting to hear any more, you scooped up your books of the counter and tossed your bag over your shoulder, rushing out of the Peach Pit without looking back.
It was weeks before you could make yourself go back to the Peach Pit. You managed to avoid Brandon, Steve, and their whole group at school. It wasn’t that hard, you never really saw them before you started hanging around Brandon anyway. You were grateful for this. Even thinking about seeing Brandon or his friends made you feel a fresh wave of embarrassment. You fully planned on avoiding him forever and you were pretty sure that was a reasonable plan until he called you. You didn’t know how he got your number and you were too surprised to even ask.
“Y/N? It’s Brandon. Look just don’t hang up okay!”
“Um, hey Brandon?” You bit your lip and shook your head even though you knew he couldn’t see you, “Look about what happened with Steve-”
“Yeah, I’m sorry about him. Steve’s my friend and all but he’s also kind of an ass. He hasn’t quite learned what tact means yet.”
You couldn’t argue with that. “Yeah, I kind of got that.” You sighed.
Brandon laughed, “Listen, why don’t you come by the Pit tomorrow night? Nat keeps asking me what I did to run off his best customer.”
“I don’t know Brandon. I’ve got a lot of studying and stuff to do.”
“Come on Y/N, just one night.”
You could practically hear him pouting through the phone and sighed, twirling the cord of the phone around your finger.
“Okay, just one night. I’ll be there around seven okay?”
“Great! I’ll see you there!”
When you walk into the Peach Pit the next night you have your textbooks stuck under your arm and walk straight to your normal spot at the counter. Sitting down you look around for any signs of your favorite waiter but see none. Instead its Nat that comes over to pour you a cup of coffee and greet you brightly.
“Hey Y/N! We were really starting to miss you around here.”
“Hey Nat, have you seen Brandon around?”
Nat nods his head, a playful smile on his face. “Oh yeah, he’s waiting on his date.”
Nat points over your shoulder. You turn around and there he is. Out of uniform and sitting in a booth in the corner, Brandon smiles at you and waves you over. Looking back at Nat in confusion the older man just winks at you and takes your books and sets them behind the counter before walking off. Hesitantly you walk over to the back booth.
“Right on time!” He greets, gesturing for you to sit down. You do even though your still visibly confused. “You look great tonight by the way.”
“You’re not wearing your uniform.”
Brandon laughed, “No, I only wear that at work. But if I knew you liked it that much I might have made an exception.”
You blinked, “Nat said you had a date?”
Brandon nods, sitting up straight in his seat to look at you seriously. “Look I’m sorry again about Steve. He thought he was helping me out by trying to get you to admit to liking me.”
You swallowed down the memory of the embarrassment you felt that day to ask, “How was he helping you out?”
Brandon bit his lip, “Because I like you and he was trying to convince me to ask you out.”
“You-, you like me?”
He nodded shyly. “Yeah, I do. A lot actually.”
You both smiled but neither said anything, not wanting to be the one to break the ice.
“So I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me sometime? Like tonight maybe?”
You almost laughed, not believing this was really happening to you or that it was all because of Steve Sanders. “I’d like that.”
“Good!” He breathed, visibly relaxing into his seat. “And if you want maybe you could start coming around here again after school? I was really starting to miss that.”
“Yeah, I think I can do that.” You laughed.

Truth hurts — Dylan McKay x Fem!reader
Tumblr media
Description: you find out that your boyfriend Dylan has been cheating on you with Kelly leaving you with a broken heart.
Warnings: mentions of cheating, name calling, Light swearing
Fandom: Beverly Hills 90210
“How could you do this to me!”
You shouted at your boyfriend Dylan for what seemed like a hour but really it has been 30 minutes,
“just because I go off to Paris with Brenda and Donna for the summer doesn’t mean that you can cheat on me with her.” You said “have you considered my feelings in all this?”
“Look, Kelly made a pass at me and It just happened, it won’t happen again.”
“Your right it won’t.” You walked towards your bedroom door opening it signaling Dylan to get out “because we’re done.”
Dylan formed a thin line on his lips before taking his hands out of his pockets as he walked out the door before turning back to you.
“Just so you know, Kelly was the one at fought, not me.”
Dylan walked out the door, slamming it behind him, meanwhile you broke down into tears
——
“Hey Y/n!” Said Brandon as you entered the peach pit, he came closer to you before seeing your red stained eyes “what’s the matter?”
You sat down at the counter stools, placing your car keys onto the counter
“Everything.” You said as you rested your chin underneath your hand “I just found out that Dylan has been hooking up with Kelly Taylor, all while I was in Paris with Donna and Brenda.”
“Harsh.” Said Brandon “maybe your usual will cheer you up, vanilla milkshake with a mega burger with… extra pickles.”
“Thanks.”
——
“Look Y/N im sorry, it’s just… we have chemistry and we’ve known each other since kindergarten,” said Kelly “you do understand that right?”
You scoffed at the blonde haired girl, looking to the side before looking back at her.
“Please, that is the most pathetic excuse that I have ever heard of.” You said “I can’t believe we were ever friends.”
“Y/n…”
“No Kelly, listen to what I have to say.” You said as you stood up from the park bench “there are other fishes in the sea but you have to choose my boyfriend didn’t you?!”
“What… you think you were the perfect girlfriend?” Asked Kelly “you went to Paris and didn’t give a thought about the poor boys feelings.”
“I only went to Paris because Brenda asked me to.” You yelled “and I didn’t find a distraction either.”
“You are such a bitch!” Yelled Kelly as she crossed her arms, playing the victim
“Oh really?, maybe you should look in the mirror before saying that to someone else.” With that you left, fighting the urge to stop crying

Jealous:
Tumblr media
You stood in front of the mirror at Your boyfriend Dylan’s place playing with your hair trying to find the best way to style it for your soon to be plans.
Your plans consist of Research for a history project with your friend and partner for the project Brandon Walsh.
Instead of regular book reading at a library or from class text books Brandon had said it would be a great and fun way to research information on history by going to Beverly Hills Historical Museum.
You had agreed to the idea as you were sick of the amount of reading you have been already doing for the project.
You can sense your boyfriend Dylan wasn’t to thrilled about the idea of you and Brandon together without him around. That is because Brandon and You have a past, a short fling that only consisted of one real date and sexual intercourse a couple of times.
You and Brandon had ended months before Dylan and You even started seeing each other, All of you were friends.
Dylan was often on edge with Brandon and You Alone together but perfectly fine and his normal self When it was All Three of you.
Dylan stood at the bathroom doorway watching you with a grumpy brooding look on his face while you decided to leave your hair down as is and put on some blush pink lip gloss which made Dylan raise an eye brow at why you need to wear lip gloss like your trying to hard to look good for Brandon.
“Sure hope you have a blast on your date” Dylan spoke in a fake enthusiastic sarcastic tone.
Which caused you to glare at the boy standing watching over you like a hawk in all his jealousy.
You walked passed Dylan after taking one last look at your self in the mirror. Dylan was quick to follow on your tail once you moved past him.
“So you gonna be out late or somethin with Him?” The words came from Dylan’s mouth as if they tasted so bitter to him and they surely sounded that way too.
You sigh responding “No Dyl I don’t intend to be out late working on our project”
“mhm” Dylan is quick to respond with a sound.
Rolling your eyes at your jealous boyfriend “why must you be so moody over a school project Dylan! It’s just a history boring project” you state.
“Oh yeah yeah sure just a project, last time I checked they don’t send students on dates to get their credits” Dylan slightly raises his voice answering you while dramatically moving his hands around while speaking.
“Ahh” you let out a frustrating noise.
Dylan raises his eyebrow and actually asked you “what?” Like he didn’t know this argument was annoying you very much as it always does when it comes to Brandon frickin Walsh.
You take a deep breath in really not wanting to fight “Dylan it’s not a date” you say as calmly as you can. He just stares at you for a second before you speak again “okay Dylan I should get going”
Dylan looks towards the door raising his hand to it “Whatever” he says while turning to look at you.
You roll your eyes but grab a hold of his beautiful face smashing your lips to his, he is quick to respond by kissing you back just as rough yet passionate, You deepen the kiss briefly before slowly pulling your lips from his “I love you Dylan McKay Please know that and trust it” you speak in such a sweet loving tone.
This makes Dylan smile “I love you too Y/N” And with that he plants a soft kiss to your forehead allowing you to leave for your history project with ease.. finally.
❤️(RIP LUKE PERRY)❤️

Jealous!Dylan McKay Headcanons
Tumblr media
A/N: Requested by @xalim23x
-Its not that Dylan doesn’t trust you its that everyone else in his life always seems to leave him
-His mother, his dad, his sister, old girlfriends
-And even though he loves you and trust you part of him is waiting for you to wise up and leave him too
-He’ll deny it admittedly if you or anyone else brought it up but that doesn't change how he feels
-I don’t think he’d be jealous of other random guys so much as his friends
-Some random guy hitting on you is easy to brush off as a creep or a jerk
-This only made him roll his eyes and shake his head, either changing the subject or just leading you away from the guy
-But when he sees you talking too long or laughing too loud with Brandon or Steve or even David he feels that uncomfortable squeeze in his stomach
-Rationally he knows that you’re just friends with them in the back of his brain its driving him crazy
-(Maybe because he cheated on Brenda with her best friend Kelly and is afraid that you’ll do that to him???)
-But moving on...
-When he gets jealous about you talking to Brandon or David he starts to sulk.
-He gets really quiet and will only talk to you in short sentences, scowling at the two of you
-If you don’t notice this and keep talking to the other guy he will start to be more vocal about his annoyance
-He will try and start a fight/argument with Brandon if it goes on long enough
-Until eventually you have to roll your eyes and pull him aside to reassure him that you love him and he is being ridiculous!
-He usually calms down pretty quickly but also becomes clingy for the rest of the day, keeping you close and kissing you frequently to remind you that he loves you

I Didn’t Know
Tumblr media
Dylan McKay x Reader
Words: 2524
Warnings: Some language, drinking, mentions of abuse
Summary: You’re Dylan’s girlfriend and the two of you, along with your best friends Brenda and Brandon, decide to go to the movies. Afterwards, you all head to Dylan’s place for some late night take out. Brenda starts to complain about her parents and you lose your temper, revealing secrets that you hadn’t told anyone- especially not Dylan.
Note: Yes, I have become slightly addicted to this show. No, I don’t feel guilty about it. Yes, I am aware that Luke Perry plays Archie’s father and yes, I think it’s a little weird too.  I hope you guys will stick with me through this experimental time of 90’s television. Let me know if you like this character and what you think of this story! (Takes place in early season one, since that’s where I am right now. Also kind of inspired by the scene in Isn’t It Romantic)
The night had been going really well. Sure, the movie was kind of a bust, but none of you figured it would be good anyway. It was just a chance to finally hang out after days of trying to fit into Brandon’s work schedule and everyone’s countless amounts of homework. Brenda had spent hours at your house getting ready with you, both trying to figure out the perfect outfit. You knew Dylan didn’t really care what you wore, but it was still nice to be able to be girly for a little while.
After the movie, the four of you had decided to head to Dylan’s place for a midnight Chinese food splurge. You were lying on the couch, your head resting in your boyfriend's lap as he played with your hair. Brandon dug into his Chow Mein, but Brenda was staring off thoughtfully.
“Earth to Brenda.” Dylan laughed and she came out of her trance. “What’s going on inside that little brunette head of yours?”
“I just can’t help but think what it must be like to live like this.” She gestured to the room around her. “I mean, you’re practically free from everything; rules, work, parents…” You felt him shift uncomfortably.
“Yeah, living alone can have its perks.” He grinned, but you could see right through it. He was alone and it killed him. And it hurt to see him pretend to be fine when you knew that he wasn’t.
“Our parents never let us do anything.” Brenda whined. “I mean, if my mother knew I was wearing this shirt, she would burn it.” The shirt was pretty showy, especially for a simple night at the movies. “And don’t even get me started on my father.”
“I think your folks are really nice, Bren.” You muttered as she started to ramble about all of her family ‘problems’.
“Dad’s barely ever home, and when he is, he’s telling me which guys I can date and which ones I can’t. Mom’s always bustling around telling everybody what to do.” Brenda sprawled out on the floor, staring up at you and Dylan. “You know, she barely let me come tonight. She said that she didn’t want me to fall behind on school work. Of course, she didn’t say one word to Brandon.”
“Come on Bren, that’s not really fair.” Her brother interjected. “I had everything done already, and it’s my one night off of the late shift this week.”
“But they’re always targeting me!” She exclaimed. “Remember when dad started grilling me about my date friday night?” Brandon didn’t respond. Brenda turned to you. “I mean, your parents never bother you, right Y/N?” You closed your eyes tightly. “And your mom is always sending you those beautiful things from Europe.” She looked at you with such awe it made you sick.
“She sends me clothes to make up for never coming home.” You growled. When you opened your eyes, Dylan’s were staring into them, a confused expression painting his face. Brenda cocked her head. “She thinks a necklace can make up for not protecting me from-” You cut yourself off. Dylan’s eyes filled with worry. You sat up so you didn’t have to look at him. Brenda didn’t seem to notice your pause.
“And your dad let’s you hang out with whoever you want. With no interrogations.” She sighed. “At least your dad is home all the time. Ours is always working, even when he comes home.”
“What the hell is wrong with you, Bren?” You snapped. Her eyes went wide. “You just can’t see past your own petty problems, can you?” You loved Brenda, she was your best friend- but you couldn’t listen to her talk about her parents like that. The Walshes had been nothing but kind to you.
“Woah,” Brandon started. “We’re supposed to be having fun tonight, remember?”
“Yeah,” Brenda agreed. “I don’t understand why you’re freaking out on me Y/N.” You couldn’t help it anymore.
“No, Brenda, you don’t understand!” You shouted at her. Dylan put his hand on your shoulder, but you jerked away, staring angrily down at the brunette. “You don’t understand what it’s like to have your mom not care enough to call you on your birthday. You don’t understand what it’s like to have to cower in your room, praying that your dad doesn’t come home. You don’t understand how it feels to wait for him to-” Your breathing stopped along with your words. You hadn’t meant to say any of that. Everyone in the room was watching you in shock, letting the truth of your darkest secret seep into the room.
“Y/N…” Dylan gasped. You stood.
“I have to go.” You sprinted around the boxes of food and flung open the door, running down the hallway, listening to the footsteps falling behind you.
“Y/N wait!” Dylan yelled. You were fast, but he was always faster. His arms wrapped around you from behind and you screamed, trying to get away. “Y/N stop it!” He flipped you around.
“I’m sorry if I ruined the party okay?” You growled, still trying to get away from him. His face softened.
“What were you talking about back there?” He whispered. You shook your head. “Y/N…” He lifted your chin so your eyes looked directly into his. “What’s going on?”
“Nothing.”
“That wasn’t nothing.” He held your face in his hands. “Y/N, talk to me.”
“Right, because you're so open.” You scoffed. Dylan frowned. “I’ll just get a cab.” You finally broke away right as a group of people emerged from their room, most of them clearly drunk and stumbling into Dylan’s path.
“Y/N!” He called after you, but you continued running down the hallway. The group in front of him wouldn’t budge, creating a wall between you and him. “Damn it.” He muttered, sprinting back to his room. Brandon and Brenda were still just sitting in shock. “Y/N’s ran off, I’ve got to go. Will you guys help me look for her?”
“Yeah, of course.” Brandon grabbed his keys. Brenda stood up frantically.
“I didn’t mean to- I didn’t- I had no idea.” She rambled. Dylan stopped her.
“It’s okay.” He slipped his jacket on and searched the pockets until he found his keys. “I just don’t think she should be alone right now.”
“Do have an idea of where she might go?” Brandon questioned. Dylan thought for a moment and nodded.
“Maybe…” He sighed in frustration. “I think so. But check by her house, see if she went back.” The twins left the room with Dylan following closely behind. The search for Y/N began.
When Brandon and Brenda arrived at Y/N’s house they knew something was wrong. All of the windows were dark except for the one to the den. Brenda stayed at the bottom of the steps when they heard a loud crash from inside, followed by drunken laughter. Brandon knocked on the door cautiously. A man with unruly hair, dark five-o'clock shadow, and a torn shirt opened the door. He was drenched with the smell of beer and other liquor. Y/N’s dad.
“Whatever you’re selling, I don’t want it.” He slurred. Brandon took a deep breath.
“I-is Y/N home?” The man laughed.
“You just missed her.” He leaned against the door frame. “Can you believe it? The little bitch stole my whiskey and my car.” He took a swig from the flask in his hand. “I hope she drives it off a cliff.” Before he could slam the door in their face, the two rushed back to the car and veered out of the driveway.
“If anything happens to her, Brandon, I’ll never forgive myself.” Brenda sniffed. Brandon put a comforting hand on his crying sister’s shoulder.
“She’s gonna be fine, Brenda.” He promised, not so sure of it himself. “She’s gonna be fine.”
The glass bottle was cool in your hand as you took a drink of the liquor inside, that first taste burning down your throat. You sat with your legs dangling over the cliff’s edge, feeling the breeze flow through your Y/H/C hair. You took another swig when a black Porsche pulled up next to your dad’s Cadillac. Dylan slammed the car door and ran over to you.
“Come on, Y/N.” He pleaded. “Let’s just talk about this.” You turned your face away, the tears stinging the wound. He smelled the beer radiating off of your clothes. When you saw his expression, you clarified.
“It’s not what you think.” He pointed to the bottle in your hand.
“So that’s not what I think it is?” He knelt down beside you. “Y/N, you can’t close off on me baby. Please.” You stood and turned your back to him. You felt his hands run up and down your arms and you could feel the tremor of a sob rushing through you. You stepped away from him.
“Don’t… don’t do that.” You breathed, your voice shaking. “Look, I’m sorry for blowing up back there, okay? Brenda was just making me so mad. She just assumes we have it good, you know.”
“She didn’t know.” Dylan said quietly. “I didn’t know.” He grabbed your arm. “Look at me Y/N.” You remained still. “Goddamn it, look at me!” He turned you around, his jaw dropping when he saw the large cut on your face, specks of glass still surrounding it. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him as he gently brought his hand to your cheek. “Oh my god.” He cried.
“You shouldn’t have followed me.” You muttered, tears of shame running down your face.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He whispered, his voice cracking. You lifted the bottle to your lips, but he took it out of your hand, throwing it over the cliff. “Damn it, Y/N! Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Tell you what?” You brought your gaze up to his, your heart dropping to see all of the pain and worry in his eyes. “That my dad is an angry drunk? That he puts on this big show for the press to seem like this perfect father, but when he comes home he… he hits me?” He noticed the bruises trailing up your arms and loosened his grip, afraid that he’d hurt you.
“What happened?” He examined the cut.
“I forgot that he got off work early tonight. When I got home he asked me where I was.” You tried not to relive everything, but your mind played the scene like you were watching a movie. “When I told him I was out with friends, he threw his beer bottle at my head- hence my drenched clothes.” The smell of the alcohol was nauseating. “A piece of it hit me.” Dylan ran his hand through your hair, his brown eyes filling with tears.
“Why didn’t you come to me?” The hurt in his voice was crushing.
“You have your own problems, Dylan.” You admitted, shrugging your shoulders. “I didn’t want you to have to deal with mine. You’re always talking about how you wish everything was more normal, and I was afraid that’d I would be too much.” The sob finally escaped; a strangled and distressed sound.
“Hey, shhh, I’m right here.” Dylan pulled you into his arms, cradling the back of your head with one hand and holding you close to him with the other. “I’m not going anywhere, okay?” He pushed you away so you could look at him. “I’m not going anywhere.” He pulled you back and let your tears seep through his shirt, his own falling silently into your hair.
“I’m tired of being scared.” You cried, your body shaking in his arms. He rested his head on top of yours.
“You know I would do anything for you, right?” He sighed. You nodded, the guilt of not trusting him echoing in your head. “And if that means standing up to your dad, I’ll do it.” You pulled away suddenly, frantically shaking your head.
“You can’t do that.” You fretted. “Dylan, he’s dangerous.” You looked down at your watch. “It’s getting late… I should go home before he calls the cops.” You jogged towards the car, but Dylan slammed the door shut when you tried to open it.
“You don’t I’m actually letting you go back there, do you?” He leaned against the door, his fingers tracing circles on your arm.
“Dylan…” You growled. “I can’t have anybody finding out about this okay? Especially not cops. If they find out, I’ll have to move. I won’t go to West Beverly, and I might never see you again.”
“So you’re just going to let him beat you until you graduate, is that it?” He snapped, but his face held nothing but worry. He cupped your face in his hands and you leaned your head into his touch. “Y/N…” His voice was pleading. “Don’t go back there. Please.” He slowly pressed his lips to yours. For a split second, you forgot about everything; yelling at Brenda, your father’s drunken shouts, the burn of whiskey on your tongue.
“Dylan, I love you. And I’m not gonna let my dad ruin everything.” You said, moving a stray strand of his hair back into place. His eyes grew wide and a small smile played at his lips. “What?”
“Say that again.” He smirked. Your brows furrowed together and his thumb traced where they met. He chuckled. “Come on, say it again.” You rolled your eyes and draped your arms around his neck.
“I love you Dylan McKay.” You leaned in for another kiss, but he pressed a finger to your lips.
“And I love you, Y/F/N Y/L/N.” He grinned, but it slowly faded back into a concerned frown. “And that is exactly why I cannot let you go home tonight.” You opened your mouth to argue, but he stopped you. “I am not gonna let that man hurt you anymore, alright?”
“But Dylan-”
“We will figure something out.” He promised. “Just stay at my place tonight.” You gave him a look and he held up his hands innocently. “I’ll keep my hands to myself, I swear.”
“Well I never said that…” You hummed. The shiney white paint of your father’s car glistened in the moonlight. “What do we do about the car?” Dylan shrugged.
“It’ll get towed in the morning.” He looked at you intensely. “So are you coming with me?”
“I don’t think you’ve given me much of a choice.” You laughed. He spun you around, causing you to giggle, your feet grazing the cool grass. When he returned you to the ground, he stared at the still bleeding wound on your cheek, lightly going over it with his thumb. His gaze moved back to your eyes.
“I am never going to let anything happen to you again.” He placed a soft kiss just below the cut and buried his head in the crook of your neck, holding you in his arms. “I love you so much.” He muttered into your skin. You ran your fingers through his hair.
“I know.”

“Gifted with immense talent, and cursed with a temper to match, Ginger Baker combined jazz training with a powerful polyrhythmic style in the world’s first, and best, power trio,” said the Rolling Stone article. “The London-born drummer introduced showmanship to the rock world with double-kick virtuosity and extended solos.”

Lewisham-born Baker was known for being a mercurial and argumentative figure, whose temper frequently led to on-stage punch-ups.
His father, a bricklayer, was killed in the Second World War in 1943, and Baker was brought up in near poverty by his mother. He joined a local gang in his teens and when he tried to quit, gang members attacked him with a razor.
Baker suffered from heroin addiction, which he acquired as a jazz drummer in the London clubs of the late 1950s and early 1960s. He once told The Guardian he came off heroin “something like 29 times”.
Tributes for the drummer have been pouring in on Twitter.
Paul McCartney called Baker a “wild and lovely guy”, writing: “We worked together on the ‘Band on the Run‘ album in his ARC Studio, Lagos, Nigeria. Sad to hear that he died but the memories never will.”
Baby Driver director Edgar Wright wrote: “RIP the music giant that was Ginger Baker. The beat behind too many favourite songs from Cream, The Graham Bond Organisation and Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated.”
Rock journalist Mark Paytress tweeted: “Like Hendrix, Ginger Baker was a name synonymous w/ early days rock. Once you heard him play, saw pics & footage, he seemed to embody the music’s power, the culture’s adventure. Spending a day w/ him in 2014 magnified it all. Lost a big one this morning.”
Slipknot’s Jay Weinberg simply wrote: “Thank you Ginger Baker.”

On a side note
My day after finding out Luke Perry died
My co workers who knew I liked him
One, "I was going to call you, but I didn't know what to say. He was so young. Sorry Meg"
2nd one, them: "Did you hear the news"? Me: "are my eyes blood shot"? Them: "nope, so you did, I'm so sorry sweetie. I can't believe it myself" another co worker, "who are you two talking about?" me: "Luke Perry" the co worker who joined in, "who?" the co worker, I was originally talking too. "I got this Meghan" she looks at the other co worker, "we're older so you'll get this reference Dylan McKay?" person joining in, "what about him?" me: "He past away today" co worker that joined in, "No way he was so young"
Another co worker and I bonded over his 90210 stint because she is re-watching it. She told me she was more team Brandon when it first came out but she know likes Dylan more. She told me she was sorry because she knew I followed him more. I told her I was sorry too.
The kids new something was up and three of the more troubling boys hugged me for no reason. All of the kids were pretty much on their best behavior. I was like a space cadet haha.
Anyway so if it could effect me I can only imagine the people he truly touched.
