I was/am questioning having DID for a bit but I rlly didn't want a diagnosis because I hated being shoved into a box of whats possible and not possible for my system. but seeing ur blog helps a lot knowing I can just exist, and not in a dumb box of what I think is possible for my system.

There's a lot of pressure from both mainstream psychiatry and the DID/OSDD community to fit into certain boxes. Its one of the big reasons that we avoid the gatekeeping side of the community like the plague.

Like, yeah, we have DID, but that says absolutely nothing about what our system can and cannot be. DID is only a label to describe our dissociative symptoms and response to trauma. It doesn't mean we can't be a spiritual gateway system, it doesn't mean we can't communicate or overcome our dissociative barriers, and it certainly doesn't mean we can't love being plural.

A diagnosis can be helpful in some ways, but it isn't everything. What's important is finding out what's best for you and your system. And even if you do get diagnosed or self dx as having DID, your system can still doesn't have to fit into any of the boxes other people try to force you into.

Hey, we’re Mayhem House! We’re an online Voiceover Artist, traditional artist, and gamer who is publicly plural online as we wish to promote a more level-headed picture of plurality as a whole.

Body wise we are 27, AFAB (the Maestro, Chrome, is FtM), and white. We support Black Lives here, and disrespect Florida’s Fahrenheit 451-esque doctrine to a friggin fault. Politically left, anti-authoritarian, human rights mean nothing if not all humans have them.

What type of system are you?

While we don’t like labels, the best way we can describe it is that our system is traumagenic, but not DID/OSDD. We have a history of splits forming or reforming due to severe trauma over several spots in our life reaching from elementary school to today. As like a honeycomb candy, the more cracks there are the more micro fractures there are too, meaning it seems to get easier and easier to split as time goes on.

Additionally, we are a system that considers itself spiritually entangled, being that our Maestro is pagan. We therefore deem ourselves as “trauma-gateway”. Our spirituality is simply a way for us to better handle and manage our psychology. And if it works for us, then that’s good.

Is there anything you’re actually diagnosed with?

Well, that’s an interesting tone to take… but yes! We’re on the autism spectrum as well as suffering from generalized anxiety, PTSD, and Emotional Intensity Disorder. The latter is what produces our dissociative symptoms. We are unsure if our depressive symptoms are a separate disorder or simply the result of one of our diagnoses. We are pro-self-dx, as it’s how we got the attention we needed for the doctors to actually look into our EID in the first place.

How many members are there in your system?

Around 50 or so, counting fused states. We don’t keep pristine track since we have visitors on occasion and we juggle other adult responsibilities, but we are guessing around that much.

Those are in addition to the seven images at the end of the show, for a total of nine MFSK images this week. The preview below is corrected. On The Mighty KBC, Peter John's DX Headlines is usually during the half hour following Al Holt's MFSK64 minute (Birthday Radiogram). Peter often includes SSTV and a variety of Fldigi modes in his feature. Last week he had PSKR125C10 (1100 wpm) centered on 2250 Hz, with simultaneous MFSK64 (240 wpm)  centered on 560 Hz. Philippe F1GMA provided an excellent demonstration of the PSKR125C10 from WRMI decoding via an SDR in Ontario. This mode is probably too fast for most shortwave paths, but WRMI's 15770 kHz is usually good enough to eastern North America that these amazing text speeds can be accomplished.      A video of last week's Shortwave Radiogram (program 356) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Wednesday 1330 UTC).
