DWRW News: 03/30/2024

Happy Saturday, everyone! Today marks the 6-year anniversary since I've started posting about Dimension Walker, Reality Weaver (formerly known as The Dimension Walkers). And, wow— I've come a long way since then, both as a person and as a writer.

While it bums me out that I haven't made as much progress as I would've liked to have made upon reaching this milestone, I'm glad I've encountered all the road-bumps and meandering paths that came my way on this journey of bringing Thea's story to my readers. After all, DWRW is in a completely different place than it was way back when. I'm not only happier with the direction I'm currently going in terms of DWRW's overall plot and character roster, but proud of the world I've created thanks to some silly little fanfic I wrote while in middle school. Thea wouldn't be the protagonist she is today if I didn't take my time and allow myself to go at a pace more beneficial to the story I'm trying to tell. Nor would I have realized how vital it is for the story to give Chrys, Sofia, and Rey the role of co-narrators. These guys are the real heart and soul of DWRW, and I can't wait to see how y'all react to them and their perspectives in The Midnight Thief.

Speaking of the novel— Currently, there are 3 chapters up of The Midnight Thief! I'm not sure when Chapter 4 will be posted, as college is currently kicking my ass since the end of the semester is coming up. Can't make any promises, other than I'll try my best to put out more chapters this year and hopefully post all the rewritten versions of the first 10 chapters of The Midnight Thief!

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Dec. 5 (PIA) -- Bureau of  Treasury (BTr) urged Central Luzon residents to start investing through its latest offering of the Premyo Bonds.   BTr Central Luzon Regional Director Irene Jonson said this newest investment product is an investment security which is essentially risk free since it is issued by the Republic of the Philippines.   “Only a minimum of PhP500 is required for an individual to start investing. This provides an annual interest rate of 3% which provides higher yield than time deposits. Aside from the annual interest, investors are also entitled to one raffle entry for every PhP500 worth of investment,” Jonson said.   The director said that there will be 61 winners every quarter.    “Fifty individuals will win PhP10,000 each; 10 individuals will win PhP 100,000 each, and one winner will win PhP1 million,” she said.    Aside from the cash prizes, winners of PhP1 million in the four quarters will also get the chance to win a condominium unit or a house and lot, according to BTr.   To avail of the Premyo Bonds, interested individuals may purchase from Land Bank of the Philippines, Development Bank of the Philippines, China Bank, Banco de Oro, Philippine National Bank and Metro Bank.   They may also purchase the bonds online at www.treasury.gov.ph. These can be purchased until December 13, 2019, and will be issued on December 18, 2019. They have one-year maturity.    Premyo Bonds is conceptualized to help raise funds for housing, education, healthcare and social services. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)

DWRW News: 12/05/2024

Happy December, everyone! To kick off the holiday season after several months of radio silence, I'm happy to announce that chapter 4 of The Midnight Thief is finally here! This chapter has honestly been one of the most fun but also a bit exhausting to rewrite, as it's the start of the "Thea arrives at Camp Walker" arc, and there are a lot of changes about it that I'm really excited to show y'all. :D So, head on over to the official site to read it now!

In other news, I'm putting together a mailing list so that you guys have another way to get notifications about a new chapter update if you're unable to check out the Tumblr blog or Instagram page. Just drop me your email on this Google form, and I'll add to you it!

Sorry to say that there's no new chapter drop today. School's been kicking my ass, though that doesn't mean I haven't been making progress. It's just slow going, ya know?

DWRW News: 05/07/2023

Happy Sunday, everybody!

Sorry there was no update last month! I got so wrapped up in personal stuff and working on final assignments for my spring semester of college that I didn't really have the time to work on chapter 2 of The Midnight Thief. Luckily, this week is my last week of school before I'm free for the summer, so an update should be out by the end of the month. Keep an eye out 'til then!

For now, let's talk about some things that I did I have time for that are DWRW-related.

First things first, I forgot to mention this in my last post. As you can see, the blog went through a little name change. While rewriting the first chapters of TMT posted to Wattpad, I decided to rename the series into something more befitting of the characters it's centered around. After all, the series is not just about Dimension Walkers. It's also about Reality Weavers (formerly known as the Seers of the Mist), and thus it's only fair that they also share a spot on the series's title with Dimension Walkers. From this point forward, TDW will now be known as the Dimension Walker, Reality Weaver series (DWRW, for short)!

Next up, I am excited to announce that I now have a ko-fi page, where you can tip me if you wanna do more than just drop a comment/vote. Please don't feel pressured to donate, though. This is only for those that have a coin or two to spare. If you can't afford to tip me, just keep on reading and telling me how you feel about the story thus far. Maybe also tell your friends to check out my work. That alone is enough support to keep this story going!

Lastly, Wattpad is no longer the only place you can read the series. I've recently created a website dedicated to hosting/posting not only chapters of TMT but also subsequent installments of the DWRW series! As useful as Wattpad is when it comes to posting stories, garnering reader engagement, and gaining monetary/publishing opportunities, I've always wanted to post DWRW to a site where I can format it to my taste and have no restrictions to what I can and can't put in my own story. I do want to publish DWRW one day; however, I want to first post the story to a site where I'm in full control and can tell Thea's (as well as her friends') story without stifling filters. And so, when I couldn't find any satisfying alternatives to Wattpad, I just up and decided to make my own site! It's rather simple as of now, and I do plan on updating the site when the situation calls for it in the future. But, for the time being, we're stuck with what my amateur coding skills accomplished.

TDW News: 03/30/2023

It's, uh...it's been a minute. 😅

Apologies for leaving y'all on radio silence for basically 2 years. I won't bore you with the details, but college and other writing projects have been kicking my butt and allocating my focus away from TDW for the most part. I still was able to work on rewriting the original 11 chapters (now numbering at 10 chapters) from 1st POV to 3rd POV, but those aforementioned endeavors placed TDW on the back burner while I got my shit together. Which, in the end, got me frustrated over this whole "wait-til-I-drafted-the-entire-novel-before-posting" plan I initially wanted to follow through with. Patience is a virtue that is very touch-and-go with me, especially when it comes to something I love. As of writing this, I have the first 5 chapters of The Midnight Thief fully rewritten and at various levels of revamped. And, I'm honestly dying to show you all the changes I made and give you a proper introduction to the story-verse I've created.

Thus, with this in mind, I present to you a new plan regarding TDW's posting schedule. Once a month, starting today on TDW's Wattpad anniversary, I'm going to post the first 5 chapters of The Midnight Thief. That means, for 5 months, ya'll will have consistent updates. After that, though, I'll work on rewriting/revamping the remaining 5 while also drafting the rest of the novel. I can't give you a concise ETA, but just know that the remaining 5 OG-rewritten chapters will come out quicker than the rest of the novel, but not as quick as the first 5.
