DWRW News: 03/30/2024

Happy Saturday, everyone! Today marks the 6-year anniversary since I've started posting about Dimension Walker, Reality Weaver (formerly known as The Dimension Walkers). And, wow— I've come a long way since then, both as a person and as a writer.

While it bums me out that I haven't made as much progress as I would've liked to have made upon reaching this milestone, I'm glad I've encountered all the road-bumps and meandering paths that came my way on this journey of bringing Thea's story to my readers. After all, DWRW is in a completely different place than it was way back when. I'm not only happier with the direction I'm currently going in terms of DWRW's overall plot and character roster, but proud of the world I've created thanks to some silly little fanfic I wrote while in middle school. Thea wouldn't be the protagonist she is today if I didn't take my time and allow myself to go at a pace more beneficial to the story I'm trying to tell. Nor would I have realized how vital it is for the story to give Chrys, Sofia, and Rey the role of co-narrators. These guys are the real heart and soul of DWRW, and I can't wait to see how y'all react to them and their perspectives in The Midnight Thief.

Speaking of the novel— Currently, there are 3 chapters up of The Midnight Thief! I'm not sure when Chapter 4 will be posted, as college is currently kicking my ass since the end of the semester is coming up. Can't make any promises, other than I'll try my best to put out more chapters this year and hopefully post all the rewritten versions of the first 10 chapters of The Midnight Thief!

Written on the event of my 3x great aunt Nelly’s death at age 20 in 1881. I found it in ‘Y Gwladgarwr’ a liberal paper dedicated to Welsh Literature. T.M Jones seems to have been a frequent contributor and quite a well known poet, according to his obituary he came second in the chairing of the bard at the national Eisteddfod twice. I believe he was Nelly’s uncle by marriage. 

Unfortunately I do not speak Welsh but the gist of it I got by putting it through google translate is spring is come but Nelly is dead so I can’t enjoy it’s beauty but not to worry we’ll be reunited in heaven and she’s with God now. It does seem very beautiful with lots of natural imagery even through google translate and my minimal Welsh. If anyone would be willing to translate it that would be amazing though.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Dec. 5 (PIA) -- Bureau of  Treasury (BTr) urged Central Luzon residents to start investing through its latest offering of the Premyo Bonds.   BTr Central Luzon Regional Director Irene Jonson said this newest investment product is an investment security which is essentially risk free since it is issued by the Republic of the Philippines.   “Only a minimum of PhP500 is required for an individual to start investing. This provides an annual interest rate of 3% which provides higher yield than time deposits. Aside from the annual interest, investors are also entitled to one raffle entry for every PhP500 worth of investment,” Jonson said.   The director said that there will be 61 winners every quarter.    “Fifty individuals will win PhP10,000 each; 10 individuals will win PhP 100,000 each, and one winner will win PhP1 million,” she said.    Aside from the cash prizes, winners of PhP1 million in the four quarters will also get the chance to win a condominium unit or a house and lot, according to BTr.   To avail of the Premyo Bonds, interested individuals may purchase from Land Bank of the Philippines, Development Bank of the Philippines, China Bank, Banco de Oro, Philippine National Bank and Metro Bank.   They may also purchase the bonds online at www.treasury.gov.ph. These can be purchased until December 13, 2019, and will be issued on December 18, 2019. They have one-year maturity.    Premyo Bonds is conceptualized to help raise funds for housing, education, healthcare and social services. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)

Sorry to say that there's no new chapter drop today. School's been kicking my ass, though that doesn't mean I haven't been making progress. It's just slow going, ya know?
