I was on the west coast for the past couple weeks, and finally got to reconnect with my music brother @esbe88 in LA for the first time in years. Since 2014, to be exact, back when I flew out to SoCal for an amazing show we were a part of with @thecyne & @bopalloy (@substantialmusic & @marcusd_). It’s been a while, and though we’ve grown older, it’s almost like a day hasn’t changed from when I used to live in LA and Esbe was my closest friend out there. We came up together releasing with Dusted Wax Kingdom, collaborating and playing shows together a number of times, and now we are labelmates with @coldbusted. The other night, we were finally able to chop it up and personally give each other a fresh of copy of one of our albums. #Repost @jenova_7 ・・・ Happy birthday to A TALE OF 3 HEADS! 4 years ago, today, I released an album with Mr. Moods and mononome, as a trip-hop trio called Wax Triptych. Released by Dusted Wax Kingdom, the 9-track album was described as "a dark, dusty journey into the cool, aged grooves and sounds of the past." The album artwork was done by my good friend Sampson Wilcox OBEY Street Art. Making the album was an amazing experience, as I was a fan of both Mr. Moods and mononome before the three of us collaborated. It was beautiful to hear our styles blend together into something new and unique. I still get messages of love for this album from strangers around the world, 4 years after it was quietly released into the digital ether. It was an honor to work with you gentlemen!
