Dust Extractor
The apparatus used to collect undesired powders adhered to a certain machine is called a dust extractor or dust collector. It is mostly used in the pharmaceutical solid dosage form area, which is where preparations for bulk dosing are made. It is used in the tablet sector to collect surplus powder from the tablet counting and press machines. It is used in the capsule area in capsule filling and polishing machines to collect extra powder.
A dust collector is an add-on piece of machinery used in conjunction with other machinery to collect extra powder that is generated during a certain operation. Equipment composed of mirror-polished stainless steel 316 grade components on both the interior and outside. Structure composed of stainless steel 304 grade. Because of the filtration cloth that is included inside the apparatus, any airborne particles have no effect on the powder, and the powder that has been collected can be used again.

Misunderstood
Request:
I wanna request rory culkin in lords of chaos being in his record shop and seeing a not so normal customer for such a shop, he sees a pretty girl wearing her pretty mini sundress having her cute makeup and hair done, she looks all dolled-up ykyk. she basically goes there to buy something for her brother but she's so not into it, she so shy and "scared" to go there but she eventually does it and like euro kinda finds it adorable even tho everyone there is teasing her (AH IDK IF THAT MAKES SENSE LMAO, I just need fluff and cuteness and yk maybe a little spicy teasing IDK HEHEHE! hope u have a great day!!!)
Master List
An: I Hope this is what you wanted!
Words: 1700
Warnings: None. Maybe shit talking?
Tumblr media
Shivers ran down your spine as you walked down the dark, dirty street. Why your brother thought it was a good idea to send you to this part of town was beyond you. You understood his foot was broken and needed someone to run errands for him, but you didn't belong with the people he associated with. You weren't into death metal, didn't wear all black, and you definitely didn't rage against the machine. You were quite the opposite. You enjoyed your colorful wardrobe and bubbly music and were more of a rule follower. You NEVER got in trouble or put yourself in a bad situation.
You had heard rumors about the record store and its owner. Some said he was a cult leader who performed rituals in the basement. Others said he was a serial killer who lured unsuspecting customers into his trap. Others said he was a vampire who fed on the blood of young girls like you. He wasn't twenty-five, but innocent people's blood kept him youthful.
Of course, you didn't believe those stories, but you still felt uneasy as you approached the store. It looked like a rundown shack, with faded posters and graffiti covering the windows. The neon sign flickered and buzzed, spelling out "Rock 'n' Roll Heaven." You wondered if that was meant to be ironic or ominous.
You pushed open the door and stepped inside. The smell of dust and mold hit you like a wave. You saw rows of shelves filled with records, tapes, and magazines. You also saw posters of rock stars and bands, some of who you recognized and others you didn't. The place was dimly lit by a few lamps and a jukebox that played an old song you couldn't name. Where the hell did you step into?
You walked along the aisles, scanning the labels and covers. You could feel a few different sets of eyes on you, and you tried to keep your head down but glanced up a few times with an awkward smile, hoping they didn't come toward you.
One man stood at the counter pretending to read a magazine, but his eyes would flick to you. He'd nudge his buddy and whisper something you couldn't hear, making you anxious.
"Sweetheart. I think you stepped into the wrong place." One of them says, staring at you. "You need to go to the record store on Broadwater. They have all that bubble gum pop shit you're probably looking for." You notice his piercing blue eyes carving into your soul, and you try to look away, but it's a trance. His long black hair hangs in his face, and deep down inside, you want to remark how he should stop wearing women's clothing and grow up, but the rumor of him eating people comes back to your mind, and you keep your mouth shut.
You find the name of the band your brother had mentioned, and there are several different pieces of vinyl, each from a different year. Why didn't he tell you the name?
"Do you not talk?" Another one calls from the counter.
You look up at him again, blushing, "I do. I'm just looking for something, and I'll be out of here." Your eyes return to the records, and you grab the newest one. Your brother was a collector, and it was more than likely he wanted the more recent item.
You hear his footsteps walking around the counter, and just to your luck, the bigger one is coming toward you. The one who looks like he might attack you.
He walks up to you with a smirk on his face, holding a cigarette in his hand. He blows smoke in your direction, making you cough. He looks at the record you're holding and snorts. "You're kidding me. You're buying this crap?" He grabs the record from your hand and examines it. "This is their latest album. It's garbage. They sold out to the mainstream. They lost their edge. They used to be good back in the day." He points to another record on the shelf. "This is their first album. This is where it all started. This is real music." He hands it to you and takes back the one you had chosen. "Trust me, kid. You'll thank me later." He winks at you and returns to the counter, leaving you speechless and confused.
Kid? You weren't a child.
You cautiously walk to the counter, noticing two of the three men sitting in the corner watching some gory horror movie, and you do your best not to make a face at it.
You try to play it cool like you weren't in your favorite red and white sundress that you'd just bought, you weren't wearing the cutest sandals you'd ever seen, or you didn't get dolled up for the day knowing where you were going.
You tried to ignore the stares and whispers of the other customers, who looked at you like you were an alien. But you knew you couldn't fool anyone.
"You're brave walking in here looking like that. You look like you got lost on your way to the Barbie convention." He sounds playful, but you'd be lying if you said it didn't hurt your feelings.
You bite your lip, wishing he would just tell you how much you owe him, but he seems amused with you and taking his time. He grabs the record with a smirk and taps on the cash register.
He looks at you with a mock surprise and says, "That'll be a hundred bucks, please." He chuckles and adds, "Just kidding. It's only twenty. But I'll take a hundred if you want to tip me for my excellent service." He winks at you and holds his hand, waiting for your payment.
Your eyes deaden at his joke; you don't find him amusing. He hands you the record, still smiling as you walk away from him.
"Hey, I'm gonna take a smoke break." He tells the others and follows behind you. Was he following you?
Part of Euronymous felt guilty for the way he was acting. He didn't want to admit it, but that was his best attempt at flirting, and he failed miserably. "Hey, wait up." He says, catching you before you cross the street.
You stop, looking back for a second before you sigh and drop your shoulders, "Why so you can continue to be an asshole to me?"
He runs his fingers through his hair, holding his cigarette to his lips. "I wasn't. I didn't…Look, I think your style's cool. I, uh, I don't know how to talk to pretty girls." He admits.
Your brows scrunch together with confusion; you aren't sure what his game plan is. "I'm not really into Satanists or cult leaders, so you don't have to waste your time apologizing to me or trying to make me feel better about myself. I think you're tacky, just like your store."
He looks hurt by your words, but he doesn't give up. "Well, I'm neither of those things." He pulls his cigarette from his lips, "This is weird and I know this is weird, because I'm weird, but, let me at least walk you to your car. It's getting late and I'd feel like a shithead if something happened to you."
You hesitate, not sure if you should trust him or not. He doesn't look like a bad guy, just a misunderstood one. But you've heard stories about people like him, who pretend to be friendly and turn out to be monsters. You don't want to be another victim. "I'm walking to my brother's house, and I'd prefer you not to know where I stay." You tell him, but part of you wants to take his offer. It's creepy at night, and you have no way to protect yourself if something was to happen.
He remains quiet, watching you rethink what you just told him. Why did you tell him that? He could easily follow you and find out where you live. You curse yourself for being so stupid. "If I let you walk me home, promise not to stalk me?" You ask him, hoping he's not lying.
His laughter rings in your ears, "I won't stalk you. Between my band and owning the shop, I don't have time to stalk anyone plus, if you want to see me, you know where I work." He playfully winks. "Come on, let's go. I promise I'll behave." He smiles at you with a charming grin that makes your heart flutter. You wonder if he's as bad as you thought or just a lonely soul looking for company. You decide to give, hoping you won't regret it later.
You make small talk, asking him about his band. He tells you that his band is called Mayhem and plays black metal, an extreme and controversial music genre.
"I'm glad you came in today. I know it can be a bit over the top, and I'd be lying if I said we weren't being judgemental dicks." He laughs, his eyes dart to you nervously, waiting for your response, but you continue to watch the sidewalk. "I hope part of you doesn't believe I'm what everyone says."
You tilt your head up, looking at him with curiosity. You wonder why your opinion would matter. "I think you're misunderstood but you kind of like it that way."
He shrugs and takes a drag from his cigarette. "I do enjoy being a rebel and an outcast. I like making people uncomfortable it's entertaining to see how fearful people are." He exhales the smoke and looks at you with a smirk. "But maybe I also like surprising people and showing them that I'm not a monster. Maybe I like being normal and human."
"You know, nice doesn't look bad on you. You should try it more often." You're able to genuinely smile at him this time. "Well," You say, stopping in front of the apartment doors. "This is it." You don't know how to end this interaction. It's not like this was a date or a friendship.
He nods, "Alright, I'll see you around?"
You shrug with a playful smile as you open the door, "Maybe."
He throws his hands in the air as he walks away from you, "I'll take it!" He says, his voice full of excitement. He looks back at you and gives you a thumbs-up, making you laugh, and he disappears into the night, leaving you with a story to amuse your brother with and a memory that might make you return to the 'scariest' record store in town.

Stoltiz Plushies Role Call!
I'm the lethal combination of a fangirl/collector/hoarder (not to mention, a recovering claw machine addict), so of course once I find a new love, I must have it in physical form:
Tumblr media
Bootleg Kid Stolas & Blitzø. Actually really good quality. Love Blitz's wire tail, but his horns do leave him in a constant thrusting position so far. Plus got them for a great price, even for the bootleg rate.
Tumblr media
Etsy Stolas & Blitzø. I liked the fact that they were available at different sizes, so I ordered a smaller Blitz to try to make them closer to scale. Nice and soft.
Tumblr media
Official Stolas! Obviously way more expensive on eBay than the rest. But managed to buy one on the lower range of prices that was autographed, so well worth the price.
Tumblr media
(they can always be forged, but it looks legit enough for me)
Official Stolas currently spends most of his time in his plastic bubble since I'm trying to keep dust off him:

what is the goiania incident?
It's considered one of the biggest radiological tragedies in the world! It happened in the state of Goiania (GO) in brazil in 1987 and involved Cesium-137. We learn about it in school.
A group of garbage collectors/pickers (people who collects materials from the trash such as iron and tin and copper for reselling) found an old radiotherapy machine while they were looking through an abandoned building. They poked and prodded it to look if it had anything of value (despite the warnings on the machine) and disassembled it, contaminating themselves and the place. The remainder of the scrapped bits and pieces were taken to the local junkyard, where the owner found some sort of beautiful, shiny blue dust inside a capsule (the cesium salt itself, kept in the machine). Not knowing what it was, he decided to take it home to show to his family, friends and kept some over there to show to the people who stopped at the junkyard because he found it interesting. The people who disassembled the machine, all his family members and several people who had contact with the substance quickly became very ill. Many were hospitalized. It took several days for the government to assess the radioactive material, and for the local health workers to treat the victims properly, but by then the damage was already done for many many. Several people who had direct contact with it died over the course of the week, and others died of cancer or complications years later.
The saddest part of it was that he first brought the pretty blue dust to his daughter, who played with it and even accidentally ingested it. The radiation later found in her body was so high that doctors refused to get too close to her to treat her and the locals didn't want her buried anywhere nearby, afraid of further contamination.
The event completely annihilated the area comercially for decades despite it being the capital of the state because people were too afraid of Going There and getting contaminated too. A lot of people moved out out of fear. They tried to deep clean the entire city. They emptied a couple homes. Thousands of people were directly affected by the contamination, and many years later people still die and get sick because of it. The contamined people complain that the gov has stopped caring completely and doesnt provide medicine to help with the ailments anymore.
It's really sad. None of it happened out of ill intent. the garbage pickers were just trying to make a living and, like, the guy seriously just found something cool and went oh huh i should show this cool thing to other people! i think my daughter would love this!!

Today my partner and I became the owners of this pump organ from the 1860s, which we got for $50 at an estate sale. The former owner was a lady who had lived well into her 90s and was also a beer enthusiast and collector of beer memorabilia and Santa Claus things (#goals).
Victor has cleaned up the hefty amount of dust inside and out (at least the best he could for now) and is working on restoring it even further, but it works pretty well even now.
A pump organ sounds and works rather like an accordion. You pump the pedal at the bottom with your foot as you play, and it moves a bellows to push air through the instrument.
This is as far as I know the only thing we have in our house that is for certain older than the house.
Tumblr media
And here is the sewing machine we got a while back for $25, which is about AS old as our house.
We like old things and giving them a good home! I just thought I should showcase a little bit of what I do on the weekends outside of the digital realm. Finding and restoring old furniture, clocks and instruments is more his thing. I usually look for smaller things like quirky decorations; I especially love to find holiday decorations that have a history to them and were previously loved/used by a family instead of just buying whatever Target produces on the yearly.

Episode five: The Dalek in the Pond,
[Freeze frame of shocked Amy Pond]
Olesia stood in the cool light of morning watching the excavation crew work over her cup of coffee. It was chilly this morning, the steam radiating up from her mug matching the fog that wafted up and away from the slowly drying mud pool that had been a pond at the side of the road. She had no energy to dig in the muck today thanks to a terrible dream she had had the night before. Instead she stood and watched the crew crowd around something they were pulling up from under the thick mud around them.
She slowly lowered her mug to her side when she heard the crew begin scuffling- concerned conversations turned to anxious shouting as they worked to pull something blue and silver- something cylindrical out of the knee deep mud. With what little she could see from where she sat at the side of a van, the crew was trying very hard to dislodge the piece of machinery from the mud in one piece. She squinted through the fog, gasping when she caught sight of the dome shaped top of what they were working with.
“Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! It’s a whole Dalek! We usually find pieces of Daleks here and there- all blown up and torn to shreds- but this is a whole Dalek!” Olesia shouted, getting the attention of her workmates as she took off down the side of the hill, spilling her coffee in the process. The crew worked quickly to bring the hearty piece of technology, a literal mini tank- up the hill towards the long line of trucks that sat at the side of the road.
“This isn’t the blessing you think it is. More likely than not this war machine is still kicking around inside this nasty shell.” Jones said worriedly as he grabbed her by her shoulder to prevent her from touching the cold blue metal. The excavation crew shoved the machine into the back of the vehicle, closing the door and patting the side letting the driver know that their load was ready to be hauled out of there. Olesia shook Jones off and clambered into the passenger seat of the truck - she wasn’t about to just leave this find with a complete stranger.
Jones rounded up the rest of his team and followed the truck back to their tiny little facility which was by now- more alien rubbish than human made products. Getting the heavy tank into the crowded facility below the apartment building was a difficult process. Even with a lift and all four of them pushing the mud caked rusted metal thing was heavy and seemed to be stubbornly scraping along the ground.
“It’s not that special-“ Henry huffed as he lifted the bottom half of the machine the best he could towards one of the cell-like room’s along the hall across from their offices. The grounds here were covered in dust. It was not often that their crew had an alien- even if it were a dead one- in their possession.
“I know of two collectors with full Daleks in their collections. UNIT and other agencies outside our own have tried and failed to confiscate them.” Henry reminded them all as he gave the armor one last kick to get it through the doorway. He stood back from the casing panting rather hard as the rest of his team just stood around it- gaping at it in awe.
“Only three whole Daleks, yet we continue to find hundreds of full cybermen.” Kendra wondered out loud as she instinctively pulled her sketch pad out and immediately began taking down measurements. The color of this one was odd, they had evidence that most- if not all other Daleks should have been a bronzey gold coloration.
“None of that matters right now, get this thing clean- see if it is actually ticking like I think it is- then lock it up.” Jones directed as he backed away from the shell of a Dalek in front of him.
By that evening the Dalek casing was nearly pristine- sat at the center of the little cell. They had made an attempt to chain the shell down just in case it ever actually woke up despite the knowledge that the Dalek if it were still alive there would likely be able to free itself with little effort. So they watched it, so Jones watched that quiet tank through the security cameras with such a look of distaste one might think he had eaten something rotten.
“It’s still very much alive in there. Though we haven’t been able to get any sort of response.” Henry whispered into Jones’ office- startling the older man. He spun around to face Henry. The scans on Henry’s tablets showed a very slow, very subtle pulse of a tiny heart resting somewhere within the strangely blue armor.
“Well don’t go torchering it. I know of a dealer who had a full Dalek- woke it up by torchering the damned thing and lost nearly his whole security squad plus some very valuable finds.” Jones spat at Henry. Henry jumped a little at the anger in Jones’ voice but made no move to back down.
“Not to say it doesn’t deserve to be. Its species stealing our planet, raiding us- invading us- the things are no good.” Jones grumbled as he turned back around to stare down at the security screen. He watched the cell door open as their alien scientist, Olesia, walked in with a large box of strange tools in her grasp.
Olesia was joined by Kendra who was clutching her drawing tablet under one arm and a bucket of warm water in the other. Olesia was already on her knees using a little metal prod to poke around the armor by the time Kendra set her tablet up in the cell. Kendra was intent on getting a more detailed sketch of every piece of the Dalek casing- which meant cleaning the armor to the point it shined in the dull white light of the cell. That plan was interrupted when Olesia’s hand pressed the small metal point int a little crevice at the front of the Dalek’s casing. The spot just between the manipulator arm and deadly laser- clicked.
“What… was that…” Olesia breathed softly as she twisted the metal spike slowly around between the little crevice. Another click sounded as she did so. Kendra leaned over Olesia’s shoulder trying to see what she was doing before suddenly Olesia pushed her back as she backpedaled away from the armor. The armor was shifting- the panels screeching apart from one another as the upper portion of the Dalek released an awful smelling fume. Both Olesia and Kendra rushed to pull up their facial coverings to protect their lungs from whatever the armor had just released into their atmosphere.
“Augh- I can smell it even with this mask on.” Kendra gagged as she stared over Olesia’s shoulder into the now open Dalek armor. Whatever that thing was within the armor was clearly Ill or possibly half dead as green goo seeped out of the armor around it. The mucus that burbled up from the mutant’s flesh looked to be near boiling as it came into contact with the air.
“It’s like it’s rotting.” Olesia whimpered as she took a cautious step towards it. She thought better of it however and moved to the bucket of water Kendra had brought with her.
“Ewe, it smells so bad-“ Kendra whined as she tiptoed towards the armor. The alien within was strange to observe. Several finger wide strands of flesh were moving slowly over a core of solid pale blue flesh. The eye at the center of the sack of flesh was crusted over with thick green goo. Kendra flinched away from the casing when Kendra rushed over with the bucket of hot water and began spunging it over the slime covered mutant. She was mopping away sheets of the heavy green mess.
“You’re touching it? It could have some kind of alien disease- or parasite, or virus!” Kendra yelled, trying to grab her companion away from the scene. Olesia shrugged her off as she continued to mop away what she could of the disgusting sludge. With some help the eye blinked open though it remained very unfocused. It seemed everything about this Dalek was blue.
“I’ll be fine.” Olesia insisted as she slid her hand deep into the armored casing. She winced a moment as her fingers slid into some mechanism within the casing that was starting to warm up. Without too much squirming however she managed to pull the Dalek mutant out of the casing. More long finger thin tendrils slid out of the core of the Dalek. All In all the mutant was as long as a man.
“You?! What about us? Not all of us can regen like you Y’know.” Kendra scoffed as she kept a healthy distance away from the armful of alien Olesia now clutched to her chest. She followed her out of the cell into the office space where Olesia placed the slime covered creature into her chair before she began digging through her desk drawers. The thick green that dripped from it slowly mixed with a silvery ooze. The mutant was slowly squirming its tendrils around itself- ever so slowly making its way off of the chair like some sort of dying octopus.
“I think it’s bleeding, I thought these things had nano-technology.” Olesia huffed as she returned to the alien in her seat with something clutched in her hand. She pushed the slime ball back into the seat before continuing whatever she was planning. She wiped away green sludge from each individual tendril and sprayed any open wounds with a spray that stank of alcohol. It bubbled white along any open wound the liquid touched.
“No one really studies Daleks- I mean. This is probably the only time anyone has ever actually held a live mutant.” Kendra spoke up as she quickly grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. She was scribbling down anything and everything she could about what they were looking at.
“This is the only time anyone’s seen a Dalek mutant!” Kendra exclaimed in excitement, all fear about the dangers laying right in front of her forgotten. Olesia nodded and slowly lifted the mutant up off of the chair, cleaned it off the best she could then set it back down. The longer tendril of this thing was shifting around the floor curiously. The tips of which tapped at anything, everything they could, seeming to take in its surroundings through touch rather than sight.
“This is a chance of a lifetime. It won’t happen again, it shouldn’t be happening now!” Olesia breathed out in awe as she sat back to just stare at the quiet creature in front of her. All of this excitement was interrupted however by a loud POP as her computer system seemed to short itself out. She stood up quickly as she stared at a few long tendrils that had made it into the core of the computer resting on the floor under her desk.
“Awe no! No no no! All my files!” She yelped as she grabbed the mutant up off of her chair trying to gather up all of the long now flailing tendrils to prevent them from doing any more damage.
“Hah! This is why you should have thumb drives!” Kendra scoffed as she helped pry the stubborn tendrils away from the computer system. Silver goo seemed to drip down the edges of the tendrils as she pulled them straight out of the core of the computer system. The level of struggling the mutant was doing had increased significantly. It was now very difficult for Olesia to hold in her arms as every single one of its tendrils were shifting, twisting, wriggling and prying her arms away from itself.
“Re-re-release- me-!” A rusty mechanical cough came from somewhere within the Dalek mutant. Olesia nearly fumbled the Dalek quickly setting it down onto the chair beside her. She scooted it away from her computer into the hall between each desk.
“Get me a clean towel or blanket or something! It’s shaking like mad.” Olesia insisted over her shoulder. Kendra was frozen to the spot, the realization of how much danger they were all in sinking into her very core. With another shout from Olesia, Kendra broke out of this trance and grabbed some clean towels from the nearby cupboard. Olesia grabbed them quickly. With a lot of struggle she began wrapping the alien’s tendrils, basically swaddling the thing.
“There, calm down, calm down you’ll choke on your own mucus.” Olesia insisted as the thing had begun screaming to stop touching it, to release it and so much more. She scooped the bundle of hate up off of her chair to bring it over to the office. She was intent to show this thing directly to Jones. The door to the office swung open just as she walked up to it. Both Henry and Jones were white in the face as they stared at the still squirming bundle In Olesia’s arms.

Luzador
Luz first met Alador in a dream, obscured by her friend Willow’s memories. Only a shadow of the real thing, he was tall and faceless and imposing, and threatened her then-girlfriend Amity into compliance. She decided then that she did not like him.
She met him a second time in real life, much different from his stylised self, as a quiet and sullen man who slaved away under his wife’s watchful eye, building her toys and machines. Luz almost died because of one or two of these things but found that she could not hate him.
When all was said and done, when the dust settled, and the worse times were (more or less) dealt with – as the Boiling Isles did its damnest to rebuild itself after the Collector’s wrath and Belos’s deception – Alador assured Luz that she would always have a place in their home. Se felt softened upon hearing that, his gentle and deep words washing over her ears. Only she didn’t, and neither did Alador nor his children. The divorce was not in their favour, and Odalia kicked them all out to have the manor as her own. Money always talked the loudest, after all. And so, the Owl House became home for four more souls.
It took some readjustment, but Luz was honestly happy for this change. She and her girlfriend were living together! She and Amity honestly felt it to be a dream come true. Alador took up a new engineering job within Bonesborough to support his kids (and Luz).
Two things happened. Alador started sleeping a lot better, and he found a personal fulfilment from his new job that he – much to his surprise in the realisation – hadn’t acquired in old post for years. Things between himself and his three children were still rocky at best, but it truly felt like a move in the right direction. He felt like a man again – like a father.
The second thing that happened was the dissolution of Luz and Amity’s relationship. Try as they might’ve, they just couldn’t make it work. Something had changed since their time in the human realm. Amity seemed to become brattier and quicker to anger than usual since moving in together, and Luz had a hideous time opening to her about anything (in anything, Amity was still bitter over her girlfriend keeping a secret from her for months, and yet sharing it with Hunter of all people). It all came to a head when the youngest Blight decided that they should take a break; Luz was heartbroken but reciprocating. She agreed.
Luz and Alador became fast friends despite the rift between her and his daughter. They found they were quite alike in some ways. Alador would sit and listen to her talk on and on about wild magic (something he had once been wary of under the emperor’s old regime), and in turn, the older man would infodump about his own interests – the machinations of abomitrons, of course, and the workings of his engineering job. Luz could listen to the man for hours, she found, and got so comfortable that she would lean on him as he spoke. Or even rest her head across his lap, or even sit in his lap. Alador was comfy enough to let her every time.
Something happened on the eve of her 18th birthday when Luz returned to the human realm to spend time with her Mami. Not only did Alador, Eda, King and a host of her friends come to join her on her special day, but he and Luz got closer than usual. Before Luz went to bed and Alador to his makeshift one in the basement, they shared a kiss. They wouldn’t tell anyone about it until months later.
Now a woman, Luz began a relationship with her ex’s father, but one that remained a secret affair for a while. They just weren’t ready for people to know. Instead, they confessed by piecemeal. Eda first, who was quite supportive. Then Camila, who was lukewarm at best. Lilith and Hunter next, the latter being very supportive of whatever made Luz happy (Luz assumed it was because he had never learned much in the way of taboos in relationships, a fact that she was shamefully thankful for).
Alador kept his kids out of the know., however. He wanted to tell them on his own terms, a fact that Luz was perfectly fine with, even if she did feel a bit guilty about keeping it from –
“You!”
Amity Blight stood on the staircase leading to the basement, looking down on her father and her ex. Her father with her ex, splayed out on the musty old couch and cuddling. Naked, too. Her heart sank like a stone.
As did Luz’s. She clambered off from Alador, trying to cover her shame. “Amity, wait-“
Alador was already throwing his pants on, leaving the underwear. Shame creeped at his chest. He felt like he was going to vomit. As did his daughter.
The young Blight was already storming up the steps, muttering obscenities as a half-dressed Luz came after her, the elder in tow. “You fucking…” the red-faced girl spat, seething with rage and hate and embarrassment all at once. “ You conniving, adultering…”
“Amity, listen, it’s not-“
“Amity. Mittens, please! Just stop for a minute-“
“No!” She stopped suddenly and turned around in the hallway, already on her way to the door. She had come over to talk to Luz specifically. She had wanted to ask for a second chance, her hopes were dashed now, and by her bastard father no less. “You useless fucking bastard! With Luz of all people?!” She demanded of her father, who had been pulling his shirt back on. She didn’t wait for Alador to answer, who just stood there in quiet shock and shame.
Amity didn’t stay long after that, but not before giving them an earful. Alador tried to chase after her, but she wouldn’t have it. Whatever relationship he had been trying to salvage with her, she assured him, was dead.
When he returned to the Noceda household, Luz was in tears, she looked up at him pitifully, lip quivering. “Alador, I am so sorry, I-I didn’t think-“ “You did nothing wrong, Luz,” he assured her, his big strong arms open for an undeniable hug. Luz slammed into him with need, heaving into his shoulder with guilt. “You have nothing to apologise for, Little Light.”
