Do you prefer dating someone within the medical field or not?

It’s not my preference or anything, but high chances are I’m ending w another doctor who’ll be just as miserable as me slugging thru med school then residency and then still yet a fellowship 😍 tho I’ve also known doctors who married non doctors & are actually thriving ab it so idk

#logistically I’m like I’d rather marry someone who understands the high pressure of the field and wouldn’t be mad w my 80 hr work weeks #during residency #and only a fellow resident would get that / not take it too personally I think #it was particularly annoying dating pre med boys in undergrad bc men are insecure as is and sharing a field as competitive as healthcare #only accentuated that for me #but I feel like ppl are all around more mature in med school so who knows #I’m literally 22 and not even in med school yet so this is j my wild guess #it would be dope as fuck if I ended up w another neurosurgeon #we just swap horror stories every time we get home and then immediately go to bed #my ideal marriage

I love tornado survival guides. "Shelter in a basement or interior room without any windows. But if you're in a mobile home, just fucking die I guess lol"

#did you know over half of deaths caused by tornados are residents of mobile homes?#which also means that they're primarily poor and elderly and disabled people #most places have absolutely no requirements for trailer parks to have safe shelter for residents during a tornado #personal tornado shelters cost $5000+ and many of them can't be installed in trailer parks because of neighborhood rules #and many parks are so isolated that going to find shelter somewhere else isn't safe or possible #it's safer to shelter inside a ditch outside than to stay in a mobile home during a tornado #and yet there's next to no effort to change laws to make trailer parks safer especially in emergencies #or even make other housing more accessible and available so people don't have to live in homes made of tissue paper #there's no tornado happening i'm just stressed
