I havent seen enough people talk about how icredibly well drawn is the winged lion. Like that´s a proportionally pretty realistic lion face, yet in every panel there´s so much depth and expression radiating from it

Just look at him!!

It´s so subtle but there´s so much feelings

And also the layers, literally from the first time Ive seen him, Ive got an unsettling feeling

And objectively, he looks kind!!! Basically throughout the whole manga he´s got this nice kittycat expression, but there´s still a layer of creepiness somehow it´s so good

And dont get me even started on the parts where he´s eating

if you don't understand the rape allegory inherent to the demon's consuming the dungeon lord's desires and leaving empty, hollow shells of themselves then i dont want to talk dunmeshi with you. the consumption metaphors involves the rape metaphors.
