hi. im abby.

fandoms im even remotely interested in include homestuck (usually no epilogue/hiveswap/friendsim stuff - sorry homestuckies), wings of fire, dune, and humanity fuck yeah. rarely fnaf and dsaf stuff too, because i was really into those when i was like 12 and never really recovered. also other things sometimes.

my music taste includes sleeping at last, billie eilish (a little bit), pierce the veil, and bayside. i have a playlist here.

my games include kerbal space program and minecraft. i have more than 3000 hours in kerbal space program. if you like kerbal space program and you want to start a conversation with me that is how to start one. if you dont then im sorry in advance.

i contain multitudes. i am a linux user, a proud-ish cringelord, member of the "has said regrettable things on the internet" club, and several other things of varying importance. i also stand for a free ukraine and free palestine.

i also believe that no one should be forced to explain why they are the way that they are. this means i dont believe in forcing people to disclose their trauma to justify their mental disorders.

i also believe that no label or set of labels we come up with can completely describe all of human experience. i think that labels have power and it is possible to misuse them in a way that is harmful, but i also think that in an ideal world, we wouldn't need labels at all. i believe that some people will always have "conflicting" labels by some standard, and that the debate over what counts as a "conflicting" label is a little bit silly overall. in other words, i think the movement to coin microlabels/neolabels is an exercise in futility, but i also believe that it is worthwhile, because the discourse it causes is valuable and it occasionally produces helpful and good words.

that being said, i identify as transfem, nonbinary, polysexual, and grey-aroace. and also some other words, like gender nonconforming (gnc) and queer. you can call me some or none of those things depending on your definition and what you prefer. it will not bother me as long as you're not being an asshole. i made a post explaining why and how i use each of those labels, and you can find it here.

this blog is full of untagged, uncategorized posts meant for no one. i think there are more original words and images in this pinned post than there are in every other post on my account, so don't expect too much. almost all of my posts are queued. have a couple more joke userboxes to break this up. (some of these are in-jokes.)

i dont really have a tagging system or anything like that, but i'll take this space to plug my mutuals:
