If you don't mind my asking, why do you hate Luna Dundam?

Oh there’s so many reasons lol 

Aside from the fact that she thinks she’s incredibly immune to criticism, outed her queer sister, and publicly wrote and discredited a rape victim to protect her guilty male friend, she’s generally one of those “White Feminists,” who is only concerned with the momentum and forward movement of rich white women like her, and spends all of her time and writes all of her comedy at the expense and appropriation of others -- often writing casually racist or internalized misogynistic jokes. 

I also generally can’t stand that mindset that she has where she has to constantly show how quirky and “real” she is, and anytime she receives any negative criticism it MUST be because she’s a woman, or because she’s not stick thin -- when in fact she’s just a garbage person who continues to make poor choices.

The G Gundam Rewatch! Episode 28

Wong has decided to have Domon fight against a fighter who has been winning all his matches by default. That’s because this fighter has been killing his opponents before the fights. He’s an assassin, you see. How many people has he killed already? No clue. They don’t tell us. His name is Kyral Mekirel, fighter for Neo-Nepal.

We get to watch Shadow Gundam fight Viking Gundam as well. Viking has its own boat and a Viking aesthetic. Nothing to really write home about. It’s a jobber Gundam and loses, because Schwarz Bruder is the coolest.

So good guy Chibodee shows up to hit on Rain and let Domon know who his opponent will be, and that he should beware getting murdered. Domon is like, “Too late” because Kyral is right behind him. Kyral chases Domon around for a little bit before the fight on a bus. Domon uses his headband like Master Asia uses his cloth for a hot second and its cool. Since Kyral uses a staff, Domon figures that he just needs to get close. It would work...if it wasn’t also a SWORD STAFF! Kyral slashes Domon who falls off the bus but is caught by Chibodee in his Core Lander. Solid bro, that Chibodee.

We learn about Kyral’s tragic backstory. He was blinded in a past Gundam Fight and cast out by his nation. So he became an assassin, and a good one at that, so Neo Nepal hired him back for this years fight. Domon practices facing off against a staff with the help of Sai, only for them to be interrupted by Kyral standing on one toe on a single leaf floating on the ocean. Show off. Kyral tells the boys that friendship is totally dumb and Chibodee is like “NUH-UH” so he launches an energy punch at Kyral who just leaves.

Domon is unsure of how to proceed with the fight technique wise. So Schwarz shows up in his Gundam to remind Domon of his serene state and throws a log at him. Domon makes his blade glow again and slices right through. Thanks Schwarz! You’re always coming through!

Kyral pilots Mandala Gundam. I really like this one because it looks really different then the other Dundams. While almost all the other are your standard themed Gundams, this has a more unorthodox form. Mandala’s theme is Buddhism and it uses it well. The base resembles a giant bell which the Gundam can retract into and rise out of. The Gundam’s arms and the lower body attached to the bell resemble prayer beads. It’s chest is pretty bare, and the top of its head resembles that of a Buddha statue. It’s just so different and it works. Look it up.

Fight wise its the standard fare. Domon has a lot of trouble, including being set on fire. Kyral is a powerful foe, for sure. But with his serene state, Domon manages to blast back Mandala with a Burning finger. He rushes Kyral who tries the sword staff again, but Domon reveals that the same trick wont work twice. This becomes something of a recurring thing. Kinda. So the two warriors opt to do the samurai charge thing where they both slash and stop after passing so you wait to see who falls. Domon shows damage and it seems like he lost, but PSYCHE! Mandala just suddenly falls apart.

Neo Nepal attempts to self destruct Mandala Gundam to cover up the pilot murders, but Schwarz Bruder is on the case and stops that nonsense! Kyral opts to leave and make amends for his evil deeds. Seems Domon has a way of changing people for the better, eh?
