TUNING DOWN IN THE WEST MIDLANDS -- THE STATE OF HEAVY ROCK IN 1980.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on NWOBHM/ DOOM metal band WITCHFINDER GENERAL, formed in Stourbridge, England during the fall of 1979. Here they are, after a few months of practice, playing their first show on June 16th, 1980 at The Crown Tavern in Dudley (W. Midlands), UK, to a surprisingly decent-sized crowd, reportedly. 📸: ❓

“Our perfectly imperfect heroine has just one regret. She didn't tell Guildford what she feels for him is, indeed, true love, and that love might just give her the strength to die.”

Time Travel Question : Murder and Disappearance Edition I
Given that Judge Crater, Roanoke, and the Dyatlov Pass Incident are credibly solved, though not 100% provable, I'm leaving them out in favor of things ,ore mysterious. I almost left out Amelia Earhart, but the evidence there is sketchier.
Some people were a little confused. Edward V and Richard of Shrewsbury are the Princes in the Tower.

And we are back with more historical hypothetical polls, this time it is:
English monarchs and nobles round two!
I am so excited to see who you choose this time.
Most of these are from periods of time I’m interested in. So a lot of it is mediaeval and Tudor. There will be more rounds so if you have any figures you really want to see a certain figure in a poll, please submit it.
I spend a good hour or so checking the fanfiction of the people I put in my polls first just to see what it’s like. I know I shouldn’t be surprised with fanfiction at this point but some of the stuff, I swear.
LIKE WHY THE FUCK IS THERE A WWE CROSSOVER WITH THE TUDORS?!!
Why is there Vince McMahon fanfiction? Just why? Especially considering the stuff going on with Vince McMahon right now.

This portrait of Elizabeth I (known as 'The Peace Portrait' or the 'Welbeck Portrait) depicting the Queen as Pax, the Roman Goddess of Peace, was painted by Flemish artist Marcus Gheeraerts c.1585.
It was likely commissioned by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester; the setting is reported to be his home of Wanstead Hall, Essex, with the figures in the background said to be himself, wife Lettice Knollys and one of her Devereux daughters. In reality, Lettice had been banished from court following the news of her secret marriage to Dudley, at Wanstead, on 21 Sep 1578. The Queen never forgave her younger kinswoman and former 'gentlewoman of the privy chamber' for her perceived betrayal in marrying her long-time favourite, famously referring to her as "that She-Wolf".

My long overdue appreciation post and fan edit for "The Virgin Queen"
It's one of my favourite adaptation along with "Elizabeth." Yes, I did watch TVQ for Tom Hardy but I stayed for Queen Elizabeth I. Such a selfless, strong, insanely intelligent ruler and politician. I even fell more in love when I did research about her and her rule. Then my heart was ripped into tiny bits and pieces when I had an in-depth read about her friendship with Robert Dudley. Then my wig was snatched and flew all across Asia when I read about the love triangle with Her Majesty, Robert Dudley, and Lettice Knollys. And Robert's alleged betrayal to Elizabeth. Smh men.
The betrayal she's experienced since her childhood especially with her family surely made her the way she is. The men in her life had completely and utterly failed her even Robert. Men remain to be the way they are, don't they? A complete utter disappointment and the birth giver to destruction and corruption.
Anyways, she's one of the female monarchs in history that I look up to. And I really enjoy the show, "The Virgin Queen." The post-death scene of Robert made me cry that's why I made this fan edit. Teehee xx
