Hello? Anyone tuned into this transmission? I know websites are pretty antiquated these days, with the exception of ecommerce. And that’s exactly what we are here for right now, kinda. Issue 11 of Stoops is here, and definitely is for sale, but let’s ignore the dollars and cents of it and focus on the subject: mental health.

 This issue was a difficult one, not just emotionally, but in treading lightly among a very sensitive subject to get some hard truths from those struggling with mental illness, and even just general mental health tribulations. I believe we succeeded in walking that line and this issue is very heavy, both in it’s editorial and photo bounty.

Im planning to cosplay Zelda from Hyrule Warriors and I just want to know, what would be the best way to construct this? and how would i make the skirt a bit stiff so it wont drape so much (kinda what Li Kovacs did with her cosplay)? Please and thank you!

I mean there are a lot of different parts to this costume and the best way to construct it will depend on your own skills and what you have available to you. I suggest looking at other cosplayers and seeing what they used in their WIP pics, and looking at tutorials for any Zelda costume to get construction ideas. 

As for the skirt: use a stiff fabric to begin with or line the garment with interfacing to get a stiff effect. If you wanted it really stiff, buckram works nicely. While she doesn’t mention how she stiffened the skirt, Li does talk about making the costume in this youtube video. Hope this helps!—Duckie / Admin
