your nimbus duck recently arrived at my place, shes so adorable and in such perfect shape! <3 im actually just taking care of her until my british friend visits later this year, since shipping to the uk wasnt possible so im ducksitting for a while. my friend says shes named victoria, after you! i was actually one of the bidders for that super adorable lil dog plush but some sly guy or gal got it last minute. but im glad i aided in raising the price c;

I'm ducksitting! my coworker was taking her son pokemon hunting and instead were chased by two orphaned, very newborn ducklings! and unable to leave them to a doomed fate...

It's perfect and hilarious because her son has been trying to kidnap wild baby birds for weeks (starlings, turkeys, geese), and she said if he caught any he could keep them.

Sorry about that you can put the duck in Koko's office. It was getting annoying having it in mine specially with all the shit going on, I have way too many things that could get it killes.

Hall, the duck is a pet to someone we are trying to do business with. And unless we get what we want they will not be getting the duck back. Koko is working on the details of our request as we speak.

When Pike and Lilie showed up, the family suspected something was up, however, it turned out they were just here to give a welcoming gift, and offer to ducksit should they want a night out.

That Pike had duct tape at the ready anytime Lillie opened her mouth spoke volumes.

Akaa-Volleyn piina jatkuu (Akaan Seutu)

Akaa-Volley taisteli oululaista Ettaa vastaan joka pallosta loppuun saakka. Mallia näyttää joukkueen libero Hasse Mattila. Ossi Heino (8) ja Joni Mikkonen jännittävät taustalla. Kuva: Harri Mattila.

Sekä Akaa-Volleyta lentopallon Mestaruusliigassa valmentava Lauri Tihinen että Ettaa komentava Olli Kuoksa vain hymyilivät, kun heiltä tivattiin valehtelemisen määrää ottelua edeltävissä haastatteluissa.

–Keskitymme edelleen oman pelin kehittämiseen, vakuutteli Tihinen.

Akaa-Volley oli käyttänyt maanantaipäivän Rovaniemen pelimatkasta palautumiseen, mutta loppuviikko oli treenattu normaaliin tapaan.

–Sen myönnän, että Leka–Etta-pelin videolta yritimme opiskella, miten Leka onnistui katkaisemaan oululaisten alkukauden voittoputken, tunnusti Tihinen.

Etta ei tullut Akaaseen niin sanotusti takki auki, vaan oli matkustanut Tampereelle jo perjantaina.

– Varalassa treenasimme eilen ja tänään on lämmitelty täällä Toijalassa, selvitti Kuoksa peliin valmistautumista.

Joukkueensa alkukauden hyvää lentoa Kuoksa perusteli sillä, että pelaajat ovat saaneet kehittyä yhdessä jo usean vuoden ajan.

– Toki hakkurimme Joonas Jokela kerää runsaasti kehuja. Hakkuri on pelissä runsaasti esillä, kun tekee paljon pisteitä ja kerää huomiota osakseen. Mutta kehotan seuraamaan myös muita nuoria. Esimerkiksi passari Niko Haapakoski ja yleispelaaja Antti Ronkainen ovat kehittyneet huimasti. Odotan Haapakoskesta maajoukkuepassari Eemi Tervaportille haastajaa tulevina vuosina.

Tuttu kaava toistui

Akaa-Volleyn mestaruusliigamiehistö sai Etta-pelin avauksessa lentopallon harjoittelun säännöt A-Volleyn F-tytöiltä. Tyttöjen itsensä laatimat säännöt käyvät kyllä aikuisillekin.

Ottelu noudatti Akaa-Volleyn näkökulmasta lähes koko syksyn jatkunutta kaavaa. Joukkue pelaa hyvää lentopalloa ottelusta toiseen, mutta sarjapisteet jäävät vastustajalle. Tällä kerralla Akaaseen jäi sentään yksi voitettu erä. Lopputulos pelissä oli 1–3 (21–25, 25–17, 18–25, 17–25).

Olli Kuoksa oli ottelun jälkeen helpottunut.

– Akaa-Volley laittoi meidät seinää vasten ja pakotti pelaajat näyttämään parastaan.

Kuoksan mainostama Jokela oli tehokkaalla pelipäällä (20/+10). Ettasta löytyi kuitenkin vieläkin paremmassa lyönnissä ollut Eetu Pennanen (22/+18). Maajoukkueessakin esiintynyt yleispelaaja nakutti 35 passista peräti 21 pistettä. Se yksi tuli ässäsyötöllä.

Lauri Tihinen oli ottelun lopputuloksesta harmissaan.

– Pelasimme hyvin, mutta valitettavasti tyylipisteitä ei jaeta. Emme voita eriä ja otteluita, jollei joukkueen kipsi avaudu. Ikään kuin lähtisimme erien lopussa varmistelemaan liikaa ja vastustaja pääsee rankaisemaan.

Akaa-Volleyn parhaana palkittu Dmitri Borichev (14/+9) nautti ottelusta.

– Minusta tässä oli hyvää vääntöä verkon molemmin puolin. Valitettavasti meille tuli neljännessä erässä pieni notkahdus. Tämä olisi pitänyt pystyä viemään viidenteen erään.

Koko kauden jatkuvassa pistekilpailussa täyden pistepotin (3) vei oikeutetusti Eetu Pennanen. Kaksi pistettä jaettiin vieraiden parhaana palkitulle Joonas Jokelalle ja yhden pisteen sai sarakkeeseensa Akaa-Volleyn Antti Poikela.

Seuraavat kaksi mestaruusliigapeliä Akaa-Volley pelaa vieraskentillä. Sunnuntaina 19.11. vastassa on Tiikerit Kokkolassa ja lauantaina 25.11. Ducksit Vantaalla. Joulukuu avataan kotipelillä ja vastustajaksi saapuu juuri vieraissa kohdattu Kokkolan Tiikerit. Ottelu pelataan Toijalan Monitoimihallissa lauantaina 2.12. kello 17.

Sitting on the couch, watching Jack petting Chris the duck who was now completely clean and no longer pink brought a smile to his face. It had been a wild night, and nothing like he had expected when he started his lazy day, but he wouldn’t change it for anything. He felt bad pulling Jack away from his friend, but he knew he couldn’t handle things without him. Jack had been amazing, charging in with the giant bottle of Dawn and more patience than he could have imagined. One very long tiring bath later, they were all slightly water logged and exhausted, but everything was back as it should be. He couldn’t deny, occasionally he questioned how things would work out between the two of them, with just how different they were. Tonight though being elbow deep in bath water, laughing at their situation he knew it didn’t matter how, he just knew they would make it.
