For people who want to know the pierre and lando beef/lore, if you search dubaigate on here you get a pretty good run down. But essentially they both liked the same woman and she picked pierre and then they both made subtle digs at other (the woman being Pierre's ex, not his current gf). Apparently they had made up as this was from during covid and happened in dubai, hence dubiagate, but maybe they didn't and lando is still pissed.

OKAY im still pretty new to the whole f1 fandom whatever its called. what is the -gate stuff? ive been seeing it for a bit now and i have zero clue what it is. sorry if this is a weird question!

it’s just basically a term used to talk about drama so like a landogate is drama involving lando but then there’s subcategories or landogates such as feetgate, dubaigate, sexgate, geographygate etc. so those gates all fall under lando gates but are specifically about one topic whereas landogate encapsulates them all
