I just rewatched 2x05 after seeing the finale and holy shit is the script flipped.

We all thought Armand was the bad guy, manipulating Louis' mind, but this man was only taken back as a revenge plot against his ex, and he's spent 23 years clawing his way into believing that maybe this relationship could be one of true love, if not at least one day, and then he is forced to hear Louis saying Lestat's name over and over in his head, cementing in his head that this isn't about Armand. He is just a piece in the game of chess that is Loustat. Louis essentially told him that he is still only with him to spite Lestat, and he literally told him that he is dull as fuck. No wonder he said those were the worst things Louis has ever said to him, I agree!

So he realizes he's been a placeholder boyfriend this whole time, and now he has to be on suicide watch as well?

I sincerely want to give Assad all of the awards

OH MY GOD HOW COULD I FORGET

Lestat tells Louis to enjoy living with the gremlin and then Louis insults Armand by saying "is it the gremlin or the good nurse tonight"

#im still not sure why he wouldnt tell him that Lestat loved Louis in this new light #and it opens some new questions about the drop back to maitre when he tries to kill Daniel #just so yall know i love wach of these characters equally #they are all terrible and they are all suffering #i just think this adds a layer of depth to Armand #and louis btw like this makes him more of a villain in Dubai #iwtv spoilers #iwtv

kinda crazy there’s even a debate over andrey’s default imo…even if you don’t know whether he was swearing or speaking in Russian or English (he was doing all three btw) the footage of him screaming and getting in the ump’s face should be more than enough evidence that he can’t stay in the competition. man needs a wake up call
