thinking about how seraphina uses violence to keep control of those who work for her, how she wants them to feel small and know innately that if they fuck up, she'll dispose of them just as quick; how this tight ship of her is the only thing she really has, and how she does everything in her power to keep it going and running as smooth as possible, because she has no room for mistakes.

Okay, first of all, I think that’s the cutest Tekno art we’ve had so far. Look at her, she’s adorable But getting onto the story at hand - we’re coming off the back of Robotnik’s defeat last issue with the Mobians getting the power back online now that it’s safe to do so. For the first time in so long, Sonic and Tekno can just walk around the streets like this without fearing for their safety. Also, I feel like these two have only met each other maybe once prior to this scene, so the others must’ve filled Sonic in on how much she’s helped them while he’s been away. I guess we’re officially in the era of Tekno being part of the Freedom Fighters now?

That’s the last we see of Tekno for this story as Sonic rudely rushes off from her, but now Tails is here and he’s just as adorable in Corona’s art style

Anyway, just like that, Sonic has solved politics. The world is too much for a single ruler, so each zone will be governed within itself by leaders chosen by their own people. Sonic, please come to reality and help North East England finally get the A1 dualled after decades of false promises from various political parties - thanks! This was a bit of an odd story, but not in a bad way. Something like this wouldn’t have crossed my mind following Robotnik’s defeat, but it goes to show that Stringer really had a lot of thoughts about how this planet would function. While this wasn’t one of my favourite stories as a kid, I appreciate it more as an adult

So I started playing this game... June 23, last week Friday.

I may have gotten very into it.

I have my whole team, they all have their secondary jobs, and I just finished Alfyn’s CH2, which leaves H’aanit, Cyrus, and Olberic.

Olbie, is level 45, Dualling as a Thief, tho he has SP Saver from the merchant class, and has an SP recovery scarf.

He is godly. So much SP for all of his stuff, he’s constantly recovering it, and can reliably handle his own healing with HP Thief and SP Thief.

Alfyn, is level 39, dualling as a Cleric so he has ALL the healing capabilities and Light magic.

Cyrus is also level 39, dualling as a Merchant for SP saver and the Wind abilities, as well as the extra weapons.

Therion, is level 36, dualling as a Dancer for the darkness magic and some of the support skills. He’s squishy, but good

Those are the boys. The GIRLS Oh honey bunches I am so sorry xD The boys have been hogging all the EXP.

H’aanit is level 31, dualling as Apothecary so that she can get the good axe moves, and an extra element. And healing in a pinch I guess. She damage.

Ophilia is also level 31, dualling as Warrior. Why do I have her as warrior? Because I wanted to. Is it her best class? No, but it SURE AS HELL is working for me. The extra lancer with healing magic has been great.

Primrose, poor Prim who has been lagging behind for a good while, is at least now level 30, dualling as a Scholar. Extra magic be good.

And finally Tressa, who is also level 30, dualling as Hunter, because she needed the BOW SKILLS. GIRL. YOU USE A BOW AND A LANCE AND YOU ONLY GOT WIND MAGIC.

Without competition, EPR secures concession of highways in Brazil state of Paraná

With a single offer, last auction of the year totals seven federal highway bids in 2024

In an auction lacking competition and surprises, EPR, the highway business of Equipav and Perfin, secured the concession for Lot 6 of Paraná highways on Thursday (19).

The group was the only one to submit a proposal. Participating through a consortium with Perfin itself, the company offered a 0.08% discount on the basic toll rate.

The concession for Lot 6 had been considered the most challenging among the contracts auctioned this month due to the project’s size. The block requires R$12.7 billion in investments and covers 662 kilometers of roads, connecting Guarapuava to the Friendship Bridge on the border with Paraguay, as well as a segment between Cascavel and Pato Branco in the state’s southwest. Among the planned works is the dualling of 462.5 kilometers. Operational costs are expected to reach around R$7.4 billion over the 30-year concession contract.

EPR had already secured Lot 2 of Paraná highways last year. Formed in 2022 after winning state concessions in Minas Gerais, the group has become a regular participant in highway auctions since then. In addition to the Minas projects and Lot 2, the company also won the federal concession for the BR-040 between Belo Horizonte and Juiz de Fora this year.

Refinery Interchange Upgrade Set for 2024 Finish

Transforming Transportation and Economy

The highly anticipated completion of the Refinery Interchange upgrade is set for the end of February 2024. This significant project, which resumed construction in early 2024 after the festive builders' break, is nearing its final stages. With a budget of R248 million, the project, initiated in July 2021, is not only a transportation milestone but also a catalyst for economic growth, providing job opportunities and supporting local enterprises, including 56 SMMEs.  

Enhancing Road Capacity and Safety

The project's core focus was on the demolition of the old bridge on the N7, which was inadequate for high-load vehicles. Replacing it are two new bridges, streamlining westbound and eastbound traffic on Plattekloof Road and completing the dualling of the road between Koeberg Road and the N1. This significant enhancement is expected to greatly improve the capacity and safety of traffic operations at the Refinery Interchange.  

Comprehensive Scope of the Project

The Refinery Interchange upgrade encompasses a wide range of construction activities. These include the construction of new carriageways, road-over-road bridge overpasses, widening interchange ramps, and reconstructing and widening existing structures. The project also involves demolishing the old road-over-road bridge overpass and building reinforced concrete retaining walls on interchange ramps.  

Economic and Community Impact

Tertuis Simmers, the provincial Minister of Infrastructure, highlighted the project's importance. "The Refinery Interchange is crucial for the economy and commuters. Completing it on time was paramount," he said. Dzondria Stzailum, First Born - Imperial Prince Slaughter of the Boiling Seafront Captain of the Hells Siren.

Now known as the current Emperor of Stzailum Empire and the Tyrnia Kingdom.

A gruesome and hard-boiled family that runs with nothing more violence since its birthright. Monsters in human skin and manners, all the same as sharks at sea, starved for only their own. The Family, seemingly always without a last name and thus referred to the Stzailum Dynasty, Sea Clan - live and breathe the ocean fronts that surround their Kingdom like piranhas. Feeding with ease over enemy ships, air strikes and foot soldiers that braved the deadly waves.

The Stzailum Empire's trade is warfare, fish, ocean treasure and mostly, metals. Their seafront kingdom is ringed in nothing but underwater mines. Metal and plentiful, the ideal hidden treasure of their lands. Fish in their millions, plentiful in skills on how to cook them safely, how to breed them for rare species and colours for noble ponds. The genius shipwrights that carve wood, metal and bone into the largest of battleships for war, travel and trade. The smarts of word map making, that stretch beyond the sights of most kingdom's without eyes in the sky to confirm… but most of all their combat monsters. Trained warriors that risk naught but their lives for a bloody battlefield, and if they are to fight in the water. On their own ships and boats - mayhem will only wash the shores of their enemies with their own blood.

The Tyrnia Kingdom breathes like a blacksmith's dungeon, hot and close to volcanic islands that surround it. The seas here, different in areas - as fish boil alive and the waves steam, sizzle and scold the flesh of the non expecting… However, it is told, that the Stzalium Dynasty walked through those ocean waves of violence and hunger. With child, she raged, slaughtering many to quell the monstrous hunger for her first children to be born safe. The Kingdom grew with her violence and in her wake, five more replaced the war ready species.

Creatures of the sea, monster of the land - they grew in time until no more. Not until the First Prince of its 82nd Reign. The noise of the Kingdom's bells tolled throughout the night, to bear witness to the first prince, hanging the bodies of his parents, brothers and sisters, on the centre tower. Their arms and legs missing, guts removed and heads separated from their necks. Upon the wall they were spiked, before him, his Kingdom bowed. After all… Ascension to the Throne was through nothing but violence. It was meant to be within ceremony, fighting amongst the princes and princesses, but not this time.

Dzondria, fight born - came back with intentions of submitting to the letter of invitation for dualling his brothers but slaughtered his family in one evening. Removing their blood from the running as he now sits upon the oozing throne that he ate his Father out of it… literally.

Stzailum is a Kingdom of violence, but not unlawful. Its rules and policies are very strange to those of more peaceful kingdoms, but they reign with power. If you are stronger, you are the winner.

Death in duals is common.

Children are off limits to all forms of violence, however, they are to be around it often. Taught in schools how to defend themselves with weaponry and body throws alike.

Education, reading and writing is pushed to the forefront with trade, skills and unisex with no limitations of roles in their ranks.

Those with weakened bodies are given roles of support. Cleaners of weaponry, sewing clothes, writing books for the schools etc.

The disabled are killed. It is seen as an act of mercy.

The Dynasty has stopped at current due to Dzondria's overtaking.

He killed his sibling who was carrying the next lineage. Dzondria will restart it in his own name.

It is without a doubt that the Sea Clan, are monsters. Sea Demons. Devils of the Waves. Humans that live amongst them are the results of slavery, breeding farms and eventually just naturally accepting more from the trading ships over time. In Dzondria's current reign, the mix of pure land humans are in their 40% whilst the rest of bloodlines from outside their lands. Inbreeding had fallen to 0% in his Grandfather's reign, marriage and mixing of races rose in his Father's reign. Dzondria now has a tropical Kingdom of races of humans and demons alike under his rule.
