And giving charity does not always mean giving it with money. Sometimes others cannot give money; however, there are also many ways such as:

Smiling

Speaking good to and about someone

Helping others

Respect

Not being indulged to backbiting

Charity means so much more because there are so much to give to someone!

Never hoard your money of your other abilities to help, but instead help others as it also helps you in ranks, wealth, respect, rewards, and the hellfire.

This is important because it helps the soul understand its truth and puts comfort in it. If you follow up with a specialist doctor to help, this would be better. You have to start immediately and get rid of negative thoughts because life is passing and there is no time to be sad about what you have missed.

You have to start reforming yourself and trusting in Allah.

Chaos didn't always follow around Esma and her twin sister Isra. It all started when the girls were five. Their mother had always been slightly erratic, but when their father caught her having an affair with one of his best friends? He couldn't stand it anymore. Knowing Esma was the strongest of the pair, he left her and took Isra with him. This ended up with Esma taking on her mother's verbal abuse, and her mom turning to alcohol. Eventually, she remarried and her stepfather was just as bad.

As she grew into her teen years, Esma began attention seeking, drinking, drugs, and hanging out with people she shouldn’t. Her mother began to get fed up with her, kicking her out when she was 16. This caused her to drop out of high school, couch surfing at her best friend's place; his laid-back parents kindly let her. But it was trouble, she was slowly falling for his girlfriend, and she was falling for her too. It wasn’t very long before they were sneaking around together and she was stuck in some very messy affair that carried on for nearly two years. Funnily enough, it had been the only bit of stability that Esma had ever had.  

Tragedy struck when he got into a car accident and passed away on the scene. The girls had been together that night so when they heard the news they both felt an immense amount of guilt. Esma was unable to contain it; hitching a ride to San Fransisco and never looking back.  She had no money, no nothing, but being somewhat street smart, Esma broke into an empty apartment to live in while she tried to build up some cash. It wasn’t long until she was caught and kicked out so she had to find a new plan. 

Esma still spent most of her time drinking and doing drugs, anything to escape the grief she’d endured over the last couple of years. Finding different bodies to fill the void, until she came across a chef who worked at one of San Fran’s most prestigious restaurants. He was older than her, he had money, and he seemed nice enough so she went home with him, charming her way into his life.  It was only six weeks later she was staring at a positive pregnancy test in the bathroom of his restaurant. It was positive and he was thrilled. Esma couldn’t really picture herself as a mother but her life had been flipped upside down, maybe now she was finally going to feel some sort of happiness. He flew her to Vegas and they got married. 

Only a short time went by before it all started crumbling. Esma experienced a late-term miscarriage shortly after their wedding day. Things turning more sour than they ever could have with her new husband blaming everything on her. Esma had always been strong but not anymore, not after this. She began to believe the words he fed her. It wasn’t long before he was laying hands on her either. She was miserable. When Esma had enough instead of leaving she began to retaliate. This carried on for years until she couldn’t take it anymore, when she found out he got his mistress pregnant, it was over. Esma cooked her husband a nice dinner and laced it with rat poison, then once he was knocked out, she went to the nearest ATM, to withdraw all the money in their joint account, winding back up in Aurora Bay. 

The first thing she did was find a house in Fishers Cove and the next thing she did was find a job at the Four Leaf Irish pub, hoping to forget about everything she had endured. With too much evidence against him, she knew he wouldn't come looking for her. She finally felt strong again.

"SHE CALLED OFF OUR MARRIAGE," Hashem sighed, his shoulders slumping. He looked defeated.

"What? But why?" Yusuf didn't know how to console his best friend.

"She found someone better than me," Hashem confessed. "Don't worry, brother. Let her go. You deserve someone better. You should be grateful to Allah," Yusuf comforted. "I want to, but it hurts. It really hurts. I loved her so much," Hashem admitted. Yusuf placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "If Allah finds goodness in your heart, He will give you better than what has been taken from you and forgive you, for Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful" (Surah Al-Anfal, verse 70). Hashem nodded, finding hope in those words.

Today, Hashem got married. He never thought he would marry again, but he did. After constant persuasion from his parents, he agreed to marry the girl they chose. Although they didn't force him, he wanted to honor their wish. Entering his room, he noticed the empty bed. Nearby, his new bride was praying Salah. As she finished, she noticed him and froze. Hashem observed the remaining makeup on her face, probably removed while making Wudu. They stared at each other, unsure what to do. She lowered her gaze and broke the silence. "Actually, I didn't pray Isha Salah, that's why," she explained.

"It's fine," Hashem reassured as he closed the door. He noticed her standing still. Sitting on the bed, he invited her to join. Huma nervously played with her fingers. Breaking the silence, she asked, "Give me a minute. Let me fix my makeup." "It's okay. You look pretty even without makeup," Hashem replied, surprised by her question. Huma blushed, a smile appearing on his lips. "Please relax and sit down," he encouraged her. As Huma sat beside him, they began to talk.

"Thank you," Huma said, her voice laced with curiosity. "But did you really mean it? That I look pretty without makeup?"

Hashem held her gaze. "Absolutely," he affirmed.

Huma's smile bloomed. "No one's ever said that before," she confessed, a hint of wonder in her voice. "It makes me really happy."

Hashem reveled in their conversation, a soft smile playing on his lips.

"Maybe they're just intimidated by your natural beauty," he teased playfully. "Jealousy is a common affliction these days, but you seem refreshingly above it."

Huma tilted her head, considering this. "I try not to be jealous," she admitted. "Sometimes a flicker might appear, but then I just make dua for them instead."

"That's a beautiful way to handle it," Hashem said, his smile genuine.

"Listen," Huma hesitated, "I want to be a housewife. I don't like to study. I hope you don't have any problem." "Why don't you like to study?" Hashem asked. Huma explained, "There's no reason. I just don't like it anymore. My parents want me to continue studying, but I don't. That's why I married you." "Why do you think I won't force you to study further?" Hashem inquired. "Why waste your money?" Huma replied. "It's fine, I don't mind wasting money," Hashem joked. Huma pleaded, "Please, I don't want to study further." Hashem struggled to hold back his laughter. "I'm not going to listen. I want my wife to be a PhD holder."

"No, please. I will raise our children," Huma insisted. Unable to contain his laughter, Hashem burst out laughing. "Why are you laughing?" Huma pouted. "So, you'll raise our kids?" Hashem teased, mischief in his eyes. Huma nodded enthusiastically. 

"Speaking of our kids," Hashem continued, a playful glint in his eyes, "where are these future champions hiding?"

Huma's face flushed a light pink. "Well, they'll be here soon, obviously, since we're married now," she explained, a hint of naivety in her voice.

"Hmm, maybe they got lost on the stork delivery route," Hashem joked, feigning concern.

Huma's brow furrowed. "Lost? Storks? There are no storks involved, silly!"

Hashem threw his head back and laughed, the sound warm and genuine. Wiping a tear from his eye, he reached for her hand. "You're a very funny person, Huma. You know that, right?"

He  burst into laughter. "Why are you laughing? Did I crack a joke? We're having a conversation on a serious topic, and you're laughing," Huma said with a hint of irritation. "Okay, I'm sorry. We're having a serious conversation. I shouldn't laugh," he apologized. Suddenly his expressions and tone were quite serious. 

Despite his serious tone, Hashem blurted out, "What if we, uh, sped up the process of having kids?"Huma's brow furrowed in confusion.

A wide grin split Hashem's face. It took a moment for Huma to catch on, then a blush bloomed across her cheeks, as red as a ripe tomato. She playfully swatted him on the arm, burying her face in her hands. Hashem's hearty laughter filled the room.

Perhaps you dislike something which is good for you and like something which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know. (Al-Baqarah verse 216 )

“Hyung, do you have plans for the weekend?”

“No. Why?”

“My sister’s getting married. Maybe you wanna come to the wedding.”

“… and serenade the couple?”

“No, no. We already have someone!” The younger male said sheepishly.

“I’ll think about it.”

But really, what else was there to do? All my friends were married with kids. The weekends were reserved for their families. I could always spend the day at work or at the gym but that option sounded more and more pathetic. A couple younger friends I sometimes hung out with would be partying all weekend long but every time I went with them, I felt stupid. Out of place.

“Are you going somewhere darling?” Mum asked when I walked out into the living room Saturday morning, carrying a weekender bag over my shoulder.

“Busan. A friend’s sister is getting married.”

“You’ve been to a lot of weddings recently.” Mum remarked innocently.

I knew exactly what her next words would be, so I looked at her sternly, my eyes pleading with her to not say it.

“Fine. I’m not saying anything.” She chuckled, raising her arms defensively.

“But you’re thinking it. I’ve already told you, 3 years. Maximum.”

“You’re not getting any younger. And neither am I. Have fun, okay!” She kissed me, pushing me out the door.

Four hours later I arrived in Busan. The wedding invitation had the location on it, so I guided Hyeonsoo, who was kind enough to come along, directly there.

I had booked a hotel room in advance and when I entered it I laid out my clothes. I chose my dark blue suit and paired it with a simple white fitted t-shirt. Nothing too fancy as I didn’t want to stick out.

Two hours later I met my friend who was visibly stressed out about the wedding. He walked with me to my seat and disappeared again, making sure everything went according to plan.

I greeted the others at the table, and my eyes landed on a beautiful woman sitting across the table from me. She was deep in conversation but as soon as she focused her attention back to the table, I made eye contact with her.

“Hi, I’m Jaebeom.”

She smiled at me, literally taking my breath away.

“Hello, I’m Soo-bin, nice to meet you.”

From that moment on I was unable to tear my gaze off her. She didn’t interact with the others at the table, just sat there silently, looking on, admiring the flowers and decorations.

As soon as the groom walked in, the older man sitting next to me got up off his seat and walked over to Soo-bin. He said something to her and Soo-bin nodded, got up and walked over to sit in the empty seat next to me. She nodded sheepishly, and I focused my gaze on the older man who was now cheering on the bride as she walked in, snapping pictures with his phone.

The ceremony started and I felt Soo-bin stirring in her seat next to me.

“I just love weddings!” She whispered under her breath, her voice sounding strained. I quickly glanced over. Sure enough, she was tearing up and I instinctively reached for the tissues in my pocket. She accepted them, mouthing a silent thank you.

I didn’t dare looking at her, knowing exactly how I wouldn’t be able to get her out of my mind if I did. When the bride and groom kissed, she stood up applauding and cheering loudly. I chuckled at the sight, a warm feeling spreading inside me. Quickly I cleared my throat, regaining my composure.

You can’t fall in love now! It’s too soon!, I kept telling myself but stole occasional glances at Soo-bin anyway.

Suddenly I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and pulled it out. When I lifted up my head again, Soo-bin was gone. Panicked, I looked around, scanning the room but she was nowhere to be found.

I walked into my friend at the entrance, congratulating him for the nice wedding. He didn’t appear busy so I stuck by his side a while longer.

“Do you know the people who were sitting with me at the table?”

“Of course.”

“A woman named Soo-bin too?”

“She’s my sister’s friend. They’ve known each other since kindergarten.”

“Do you happen to have her phone number?” I asked meekly and felt the younger man’s eyes staring holes into me.

“Why? Do you like her?” He teased me but I looked straight ahead, my eyes glued on the entrance. “I don’t have her number, but I’d be glad to ask my sister for it!” He chuckled and I said my goodbyes, leaving the venue.

At the parking lot I saw Hyeonsoo waiting for me in the distance but something else caught my eye too.

Soo-bin was just about to get in her car and drive off. I sprinted over to her, completely ignoring Hyeonsoo who waved at me, probably thinking I didn’t see him.

“Soo-bin, wait!”

“Oh, hey!” She exclaimed in surprise.

“I want to see you again!” I blurted out, watching as her cheeks slowly turned red. She looked down smiling shyly but then took a piece of paper and a pen out of her purse and scribbled her number on it.

“Don’t lose this!” She beamed at me.

I thanked her and hugged her briefly, waving at her as she drove off.

“Who is she?” Hyeonsoo appeared by my side, scaring me.

“I just met her!”

“Oh, oh. That’s dangerous.”

“I know. I’m in trouble now.” I replied with a smile, already making plans for our first date.
