1) How many works do you have on AO3?

206, apparently. O.o I didn't realize it was that much. Whoops. >.>;;;;;; ...when did I end up with 55 fics in the MCU. I knew I had a lot in JTV, but when did I end up with that many in the MCU

2) What's your total AO3 word count?

2,039,621.

3) What fandoms do you write for?

Uh...currently? ...uh...let me check my pinned post. Uh. Danganronpa (not DRV3 because I haven't finished it yet; specifically Junko etc. I like rewrites and consequences more than...crossovers...right now. I would rather play with canon...ish). MCU (specifically Wanda-related etc. re: Wandavision and DSMOM, but also add the Ancient One and also add Viv Vision because I love her). JTV (because yes, I can be persuaded to write more Roisa stuff). Miscellaneous Kathryn Hahn etc. (frequently referred to as Hahnverse, specifically beyond Agatha I will also write Eve Fletcher and Claire Debella). Who Framed Roger Rabbit (because yes, I can also be persuaded to occasionally write more Jessica Rabbit stuff, although it is often highly specific to my Jess). Puella Magi Madoka Magica (just because I haven't in a very long time does not mean I can't). Noir (the 2001 anime; just because I have very little posted doesn't mean I won't write for this). The Haunting of Bly Manor (specifically Dani and Viola and we pretend that most of the last episode didn't happen because I love Viola and I like looking at the complications of that whole situation). ...probably others that I can't think about at the moment, honestly.

4) Top Five Fics by Kudos:

By kudos? 1) What Dreams May Come. 2) Finding Family. 3) Lost Causes. 4) Make Life Worthwhile. 5) Take A Sad Song and Make It Better. Surprised by that last one, honestly, but not by the other four. The top two on my stats are pretty much always Bly Manor Fix-It Fic and FF; they just switch places every now and again.

5) Do you respond to comments?

Sometimes. I respond to comments if I feel I have a response or if I want to continue the dialogue or if I'm asked a question and don't put it off for a while (I'm really bad at this, actually). But I feel like a lot of comments...don't need...a response? And have been running into the weird situation lately where responding to comments...feels like...it keeps people from commenting? Which is? A weird feeling?

6) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Timeline canon doesn't count (I see you out there reading this) because that's not fic, that's rp. And, I mean, technically that had a happy ending. Technically. the day her line went flat. hands down. i've got some other angsty stuff that comes to mind, but like. nothing like that one, i don't think. ...but if I ever finish it all happens so quick, that may take it.

7) What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

...uh. Hm. I think probably Finding Family, because it was nearly 375k of build up (385k if you include the Holiday Special) and character development and relational development just to get to that ending so that it felt well earned and deserved and still not expected even though set up and just. I knew the ending of that one when I started it, and it was exactly what I wanted it to be, and I think it's the most happy because it's the most right and complete and just.... I don't know how to put words to it, but that one.

8) Do you get hate on fics?

I've gotten bot hate on my MCU fics by bots who want me to switch to a different fic website, which I don't think really counts. I haven't gotten hate as comments on AO3 fic, BUT I DID have a period early last year and some the year before of A LOT of Anon hate, some of which was fic hate. Specifically character interpretation. But that felt more like a campaign of hate against me and that was just the avenue they were deciding to use at that particular time because there was so much other hate they were sending, so like. ...yeah, that was a thing.

9) Do you write smut?

Nope.

10) Craziest crossover?

Heart in Motion aka the JTV/ODAAT crossover that no one asked for and then everyone asked for and then I never went back to. XD

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of!

12) Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! Partly! Someone started translating Finding Family into Russian! With permission! You can find it here!

13) Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! Room for One I co-wrote with @butimnotasexyrussian! IT WAS GREAT.

14) All time favorite ship?

Honestly, I don't think I have one. I love Jess/Scully and Jess/Regina. I love the Valentines. But my shipping favs are flexible at best.

15) What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

What Dreams May Come. I don't think I left it in a good spot, as opposed to If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home Now, which is unfinished and will probably stay unfinished but at least stops at a good spot.

16) What are your writing strengths?

Consistency. I'm very consistent in terms of world-building and maintaining exact specifics through a fic. I keep my through threads, usually, and if I set something up, it's probably going to pay off later.

17) What are your writing weaknesses?

EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS SO LONG. WHAT IS WRITING SHORT STUFF, I DON'T KNOW HER. But also plot. And description. And setting. I suck at all of these things. Oh, also, having characters have distinct voices. All of my characters sound the same. -shrugs-

18) Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I don't have a problem with it, but I very rarely do it. I'm worried I'll get something wrong!

19) First fandom you wrote in?

Tales of Symphonia. I was in, like, middle school, and I did not post it. Fortunately. (This does not count RP, which I was doing earlier than that. That's not the same. And to be honest, I'm not sure I would know the answer then. Teen Titans or Inu-Yasha, maybe? I'm not sure.)

20) Favorite fic you've written?

It's a toss up between Luisa and the Fox and Surrogate. Probably there's something else I'm forgetting but will remember after I post this. But honestly? It's probably one of those two.

yeah, I too noticed that many fans lost respect for wanda after wv, not so much because of her actions, since it's possible to like characters who do villainous stuff, but rather how she was portrayed. it's ok to say that agatha was manipulating her, that's true. but it's NOT ok to imply that she was the victim in the westview situation. I feel bad for her because she's getting all the hate for the bad writing, but people don't like professional victims. the karenization of wanda was a disaster.

{out of paprikash} Okay... "karenization" is definitely a word that needs exist, haha. It's perfect. But yeah, I get what you mean. I've just been trying to write her in a way that's consistent with how she started and follows some of the comics, and not so much in all the directions they've taken her in the MCU. I mean as far as her personality and dialogue and things that, you're right, make her kindof a karen at times.

I think we can all agree that Wanda has been through a lot, that she and those she loved had been treated unfairly at times, and that she needed help. And we can all agree that Agatha was throwing gasoline onto the fire and lemon juice onto the paper cuts, heh, exacerbating the situation. That still doesn't make it okay for Wanda to enslave a whole town. Maybe she didn't realize she was doing it at first, but there was a point at which she did realize it... and still didn't stop. That's the point for me where she stopped being a victim, or stopped having the potential to be called a victim. If you knowingly continue to hurt others to get what you want, even if your reasons for waning those things are understandable, it's still not okay.

However, I can ignore the noise of the MCU wanting ratings, money, shock value, and all these other things that should have nothing to do with characterization or plot but unfortunately always do nowadays. I can ignore all of that and just try to write the core character with the road she's gone down, but with a much more personality-realistic way for her. But if you're not a writer of fanfiction or rps, if you're not an artist, if you're not someone who can take a scaffold that's provided to you and change it into something you like better or that you feel works better for the character, then I can see how frustrating this would be. I'm sure many fans who don't engage in creative hobbies like that and therefore didn't have outlets to provide alternatives to what they saw in the movies, were just disgusted by the time WandaVision and DSMoM came out and just said screw this. I think that's a shame, but I totally understand.

I would hope that they would take her in a better direction (not better morally, but better in terms of being more true to her character) after this, but honestly, I don't trust the MCU. Like many big production companies, they're focused more on making blockbusters than they are on telling good stories and creative consistent, relatable characters.

sʏɴᴏᴘsɪs ↣ Bethany "Annalise" Proctor is the younger half sister of Tom Wachowski (Green Hills, Montana) and Sarah Proctor (Westview, New Jersey), sharing the same father with Tom but having the same mother with Sarah. From what "Bethany" had been told and knows from her memories, she and sarah were raised by a single mother with only the knowledge about their "father" being from their childhood shortly before he up and left. Bethany and Sarah have been close ever since but inevitably grew distance after Bethany returned home from summer camp.

While that is the partial truth, the real Bethany died in an accident and with the smallest crumb of a DNA sample (hair, toenail, baby tooth, etc) she was replicated into a clone with little no awareness of actually being one. It would later be revealed that "clone beth" was a biproduct of "The Shadow Project" through the use of a chaos emerald due to Beth's untimely death. It would later be decided that "Clone Beth" would be the one to initiate "Project Shadow" upon hearing her trigger phrase "The Light Of Noah's Ark" and proceeding to be shadow's mentor / partner for his mission.

While it remains unknown as who and why Bethany was given a second chance at life, it's clear to understand that someone had selected her for a very important mission.

Hair color and styles: Her hair is a chocolate brown color,  He wears it down during formal events or when she is relaxing in her bedroom. When studying from books she will have it up in a butterfly clip. When it comes to battle, she will pull her hair back with a hair tie she often wears on her wrist. Her hair is naturally straight unless she uses a flat iron to curl her hair.

Build: Over the years, she has gained quite a bit of muscle in her arms and legs. Her torso is toned, not a pretty type of tone. She had been training to be strong to battle her enemies, and not just with the mystic arts.

Scars or imperfections: She had been in a hiking accident in her late twenties. She had scarring on her back reaching from her left shoulder down and across her mid-back. She had two long claw marks on her torso, a small one on her right shoulder, and a faint scar starting at the bottom of her right ear and ending in the middle of her neck. Other than these marks, she has a couple of old scars from scraps in previous battles.

Personality Type: ENFJ-T (The protagonist)

Likes: She loves chai tea, visiting museums, and taking a walk around the park to clear her mind and soul. She keeps herself busy with either studying from the library at Kamar-Taj, sparring with students and colleagues (if you could call them that), and she liked to take time to soak in the peace once in a while.

Dislikes: She isn't that much of a coffee drinker anymore. She grew a dependence on it, her sleeping schedule paying the price for it. She also does not like her enemies. Being a master of the mystic arts, she had many of those.

Strengths: Brooke will stand up for others who can't for themselves. She is willing to teach others the lessons they need to learn in order to get through what it is they are struggling with. It is one of the reasons she was a teacher at Kamar-Taj, just as she had been a grade school teacher before her accident. She isn't afraid to take charge and help anybody out, but she isn't afraid to let somebody else who is more knowledgeable than she take the lead.

Weaknesses: She often lets her emotions dictate her actions. She may not wear her emotions on her sleeve, but it has caused her to tumble and trip a few times. 

Habits: She can not study with her shoes on, and a candle must always be burning. She also is in the habit of making sure her studying spaces are always cleaned.

Defining moment: Brooke left her home, the town she had been living in, having sold everything she owned to pay her medical debts off. She sold her car, taking the funds to buy a ticket to Kathmandu, having been told she could get a second chance at Kamar-Taj.

Aesthetics: Brooke's old home and wardrobe could be described as dark academia. She loved earthy tones, feeling at one with nature. Her current lifestyle wasn't that much different than before arriving at Kamar-Taj. Her master robes were a combination of dark grey, dark brown, light brown, and spiced orange accents.

History

Brooke was a native of Utah, living near Richfield City for nearly her whole life. She was a single child, her mother was a nurse and her father was an electrician. They were fairly busy with their careers, but they never left Brooke behind. They made time for family dinners, went to her dance recitals, and helped her through her life. They were thrilled that she chose to become a school teacher, knowing that she had a lot of passion for learning.

Brooke was a grade school teacher, specifically a social studies teacher at an elementary school. She would take her students on field trips to museums and to local and state government buildings. Brooke was a teacher for almost seven years at the time of her accident. She had gone on a two-week trip with her friends to Alaska, finding some nice scenery to view and take in. Her friends were not as adventurous as she was. They told her the hike was a bad idea, that they were there to hang out. Brooke should have listened to them.

Brooke woke up in a hospital in Alaska, covered in bandages and casts. She had been told she was attacked by a bear. She was alone in the hospital, having been flown to a hospital hours away from where the group was vacationing. Her parents had no way to get to her quickly and were video conferencing with the hospital staff, doctors, and Brooke as much as they could. Brooke spent three months in the hospital in Alaska. Her parents were able to get a flight to the city she had been in and a flight right back out the next day.

When she returned home, she received so many looks of pity from her friends and the people in her town. She tried teaching again, but the students would always talk about her scars or ask her about her accident. It was traumatizing to her to listen to the questions and comments day in and day out. Eventually, the bills came flooding in. She couldn't rely on her parents to take care of her for the rest of her life, let alone she was still single. She didn't have anybody to bounce back on in the privacy of her own home. A yard sale led to an estate sale. After selling everything in the estate sale, Brooke had to sell her house to finish paying off her medical bills.

She had nowhere to turn, losing her job as a teacher was the final blow for her. That was when she had heard about Kamar-Taj, there had been a woman in her town who said she had been there. Everything that was wrong with her had been fixed and she was able to live a normal life. Brooke knew it was her last chance at a normal life, a life free of the pain she had been experiencing since waking up in the hospital. Brooke sold her car, giving her enough money for a plane ticket to Kathmandu, Nepal.

Brooke finally found Kamar-Taj, begging the Ancient One to let her practice and learn the mystic arts. The Ancient One agreed to let her into their institution, on the grounds that she made sure this was the life she had wanted. There was no turning back for her, she wouldn't be able to go back to her hometown at the end of this journey and live a normal life.

Brooke agreed, joining the students of Kamar-Taj. She felt out of place, as most of its students were not injured like she was, or struggling with their lives. They knew the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, they had some connection to the mystic arts. Brooke had been alone, having left her parents behind without a word.

Brooke met Stephen Strange a few months after she joined. His story was much like hers, having come here to search for answers. She tried to crack him open a bit, get him to open up to her about what brought him to Kamar-Taj. He hadn't been sure of Brooke, or why she was so interested in him.

Stephen became the master of the New York Sanctum, and the Sorcerer Supreme. Wong had put Brooke in the New York Sanctum after she became a master Sorcerer herself. She spends time between New York and Kamar-Taj to teach students and help Dr Strange save the world.

you write wanda so well 😊 if only the mcu could give her that depth, and not only her but all characters. wanda is one of my favorites and I'm not a big fan of thor, but her trauma gets treated as serious while his is treated as a joke. this is so unfair and as a wanda fan I have no problem saying it. both characters lost everything and everyone but they get portrayed in vastly different ways. I get that thor is a himbo but himbos cry too (which is something the gotg films address really well)

{out of paprikash} Awww, thank you, but to be fair, I think I was only able to give her that depth because of 1) the scaffolding the MCU already set me up with for her, and 2) Lizzie's great portrayal. Building off of both of those things, it was easy to develop Wanda as much as I have. I've really enjoyed doing it too, because Wanda's such a complex and interesting character.

And about Wanda's trauma being treated as serious... I'm not so sure about that. I've had some really nasty encounters with MCU fans on this site who hate Wanda and say that what she's going through isn't even trauma at all. I remember one person referring to WandaVision as something like... a whiny idiot playing house with a dead family, or something similar. I don't remember the exact wording but I was like... wow. So there are a lot of fans who feel that Wanda is just whiny, or a complainer, or that she just lost some loved ones and should get over it. They don't see the underlying issues that brought about the WandaVision situation or even the DSMoM situations.

And that's OOC, but even IC, I feel like none of the characters really understand that Wanda seriously needs help. Like... characters who were dead or otherwise unavailable after Endgame aside, where were some of them when they should have been checking on Wanda or making sure that Vision's body didn't fall into the wrong hands? So I feel like even IC, she's not seen as having a problem at all, because apparently everybody thought she was fine, or at least not in enough distress to warrant any wellness checks before things got real bad real fast.

And then by the time things do get bad by the end of WandaVision, still nobody thinks to get her help or even inquire about her mental health in two years? I am by no means condoning what Wanda did in DSMoM, but I also kindof feel like... when you've left someone alone with that much pain for that long, with all indications being that they are NotOkay™, and you don't bother to try to help or check up on them, what the hell did you expect? She's not blameless for what happened in DSMoM, but neither should she be fully blamed either. It's somewhere in the middle. I think she needs help, not punishment at this point. Strange should've been all over Wanda's mental health after WandaVision, and don't tell me he didn't hear about what happened because come on, heh.

Anyway, sorry for that rant, but I had to weigh in. If anyone else has thoughts on this, feel free to comment! But yeah, Thor was done dirty too with regard to his mental health struggles. I rant in the tags slightly on this post over on my multi about that. He needed serious help during Endgame and instead it was like oh look at fat, slovenly Thor. Isn't that funny? And I'm there like um, no, he's in serious distress, this isn't funny at all. So yeah, I agree that Thor's trauma was not handled well at all. But that's why rp is so great, isn't it? Because we can take what the MCU did, and then build on it to make it better. =)

𝚄𝙽𝙵𝙾𝙻𝙻𝙾𝚆𝙸𝙽𝙶. I usually soft block if I don't want to follow someone anymore or they make me uncomfortable. The same is applied for me, block me if I make you uncomfortable or you don't have an interest in following me anymore, there won't be any hard feelings.

COMMUNICATION. That being said however, I am a strong advocate for communicating with my partners. You need to tell me upfront if I've done something that made you uncomfortable. Otherwise, I won't know and therefore can't correct myself or maturely address the issue.

CONVERSION TO JUDAISM. I have reached out to actual Jewish people on discord via a secular jewish discord and had a couple of questions to ask. Their input was an incredible help ( they recommended it be more of an independent journey first before taking a big step into conversion with a Rabbi which that time varies from person to person ) in regards to things like Noachide and Musar that needed to be read and understood first. It filled Wanda with such achingly deep pride to have Carter agree with her that her family was perfect. She was still a loving wife and a proud mother, even though the people who had given her those monikers were gone. Carter didn’t tell her that wasn’t the real Vision, though. She didn’t say her boys had never been real. Instead, she just agreed with her, and Wanda could see the genuine sympathy in her eyes. It felt so good to be validated like this, and to have someone compliment her family instead of pick away at them with the insistence that they hadn’t been real.

Despite her reaction to Wanda removing the illusions she’d placed on herself, Carter still tried to encourage her, and to ask after her health. Welcoming the distraction of her questions, Wanda struggled to answer them adequately. “I-I do eat... sometimes. I don’t have much of an appetite, but I do eat. I don’t... know how often. The days... They’re all running together. I study most of the day... and even while I sleep. I’ve... I’ve learned astral projection... so I study that way at night.” Maybe that’s why she felt so damn tired all the time.

But knowing that she’d dropped all of this onto the shoulders of her friend - her pregnant friend - made her feel ashamed and like she had to get out of there. Fast. She was prepared to go, too, but Carter grabbed her hand and asked her to look at her.

It was hard for Wanda to do that, and for a hot minute, she couldn’t. But slowly... she did as Carter bid her, listening to her words as she forced herself to look at her. And what did she say? More words of encouragement. More offers of help, more ways in which she would rearrange her life to help Wanda, to help someone she called a friend. Wanda felt like she didn’t deserve any of it. I don’t deserve a friend this kind. She didn’t want her to start calling her friends and giving up rooms in her home for her. Although she understood that Carter wasn’t fragile, she still felt evil putting all this on her when she had so much to worry about in her own life. And yet... if she turned away now, wasn't that also rude? To come into her home like his, scare her, and then not accept her help? Maybe the most considerate thing for Wanda to do was to accept her worried friend’s help.

Finally... Wanda nodded. “Okay,” she whispered. “I’ll let you help me.” That was really, really hard to say. Even though I don’t deserve it. The feel of Carter holding and rubbing her hand brought more tears for how comforting it felt. “Thank you... but... please don’t rearrange your life for me, though...” she whispered as quietly as a mouse.

Carter was trying to get better at managing how much time she spent on coursework. She was. But she had been up far too late studying, again, that she ended up falling asleep on the couch, again, with her laptop resting precariously on her lap as she slumped against the armrest with her head resting on the back cushion, and Kenobi curled up at her feet. 

And it wasn’t until a loud and persistent pounding on the door did both of them wake.

With a startled grunt, Carter jolted upright as Kenobi leapt off the couch and started to bark - her heart skipping a beat before hammering in her chest. What the hell--? Was she--?

No, she was definitely not dreaming. The pounding continued even as Kenobi stopped - his hackles raised as he stared at it. And with a groan, she pushed her laptop onto the seat next to her and heaved herself to her feet before she rubbed her eyes roughly to try and clear what cobwebs of sleep remained. “Al-alright!” she shouted - her voice hoarse and raspy from lack of use. “Alright! I- I hear y-you!” Good god, didn’t they know it was...?” She glanced blearily at the block on the microwave in the kitchen, and groaned.

It was almost four in the morning. Of course it was.

She stumbled toward the front door with Kenobi on her heels, and fumbled for the lock before she yanked it open.

“Look, I got the--” Carter began, but cut herself off - her eyes widening when she saw who it was. “Wanda? But--” 

But, before she could finish, Wanda flung her arms around her, and began to sob. Practically hysterical as she begged for help.

Carter staggered, but quickly hugged her back as tight as she could without hurting her. Holding her close as she pulled her inside and shut the door behind them - a million questions running through her mind. “I’m- I’m here,” she whispered, feeling her heart break as the woman shook against her. “I’m- I’m right he-here, Wanda. I’ve- I’ve got you, al-alright? I’ll- I’ll do what-whatever I- I can to help you, bu-but I- I need you to- to focus on m-me.” 

Her questions could wait. Her friend was back and needed help. That was more important. 

“You’re- you’re safe, I- I promise, Wanda. You’re- you’re safe he-here.”

i love your agatha headcanons and it’s so cool to see that many of them line up with my own! i’ve been writing her on various rp sites for over a year, so it’s been all about filling out that backstory.

Thank you so much!  I, oddly, only finished WandaVision literally the morning before we went to see DSMOM and then promptly started writing Finding Family - I was waiting to see if Mephisto was going to be involved once those rumors started because that would have been...bad for me and then just didn’t get around to it until then. I feel like the dunce who just I can add Agatha into Part Five of this no problem; it’s necessary narrative because Wanda accepting and forgiving Agatha is the completion of her accepting and forgiving herself and then just.  I have gotten so distracted with thinking about Agatha and the 1600s and she’s been around three hundred years and paying more attention and listening to interviews and just like.  White Vision?  He slotted in with no problem, but Agatha almost requires looking into all of that and thinking about it.  And like?  She showed up in Part One without all of this, but I’m actually - honestly, I’m enjoying the research.  I feel like I’m learning so much!  XD

Agatha just - she’s great from a fanfic or fan writing arena because there is so much empty space to play around with that they haven’t nailed down, and everyone’s going to see her in differing shades of everything, and that’s fascinating.

(also i used to be in rp - kind of am again, a little bit, sort of, because i missed it but tumblr rp can be so toxic sometimes - so i get it!  filling out backstory is sometimes one of the most enjoyable parts, learning all of those little details as the characters just oh, and about this.  i love that.)

“Pietro...?” Wanda asked, suddenly wrenched from her study of the Darkhold to see her brother? Standing... right in front of her? “How are you here right now?” she said, her voice shaking as she struggled to understand. Was she seeing things? Was she dreaming about people she could never see again? That seemed to be happening more and more to her nowadays. She had been peeking into other verses, so had she accidentally brought him back with her? Wanda hadn’t seen him during her studies, though.

She was confused, but she almost didn’t care how he’d gotten there. And part of her was still hurt from the way Agatha had tricked her in Westview, but another part wanted so much to believe he was really there... even if it didn’t make any sense. Slowly, she approached him and lifted her hand to his cheek to find it solid and warm. “‘Oh gods...” she whispered. Her eyes filled with tears and she smiled brightly. For lack of knowing what to say to him after all this time, she simply said, “Hi...” Her thumb rubbed his cheek as a tear trickled down her own.
