Show Review: Dream Perfect Regime (DPR) brings out a whole lot of hype

The lads of DPR are back in Singapore; this time with DPR ARTIC, DPR CREAM and DPR IAN.

The lads of Dream Perfect Regime are back in Singapore; this time with DPR ARTIC, DPR CREAM and DPR IAN.

With three artists performing in one show, it was only natural that each had their individual segments. Held on Thursday (12 Dec) at the Singapore Expo, here was what went down during the 2½-hour set.

DPR ARTIC presents an electrifying DJ set

DPR ARTIC kicked off the show with his tantalising DJ set, playing remixes of recent hits like Escape (2024) and Do Or Die (2024).

Similar to EDM raves, his set was accompanied by entrancing visuals and electrifying rave-like lasers. This created a dynamic atmosphere. Fans were on their feet, partying along to the music even though it was a fully seated concert.

DPR CREAM: The perfect blend of different genres

If you don’t already know, DPR CREAM is the resident producer of the DPR crew. And he is also known for creating music that has a unique blend of rap, hip-hop R&B and soul.

His set included songs that were upbeat in energy like test drive (2024) and darling (2024). But he also took it down a notch with soulful songs like uzuz (2024).

The versatility that he possessed showed his charm as a performer, often through the use of his entire body to convey various emotions through the songs.

DPR IAN: A surprise treat

Throughout the show, DPR IAN responded to cheers from fans with a flirtatious tone. “I love you too, darling,” he said as if each fan of his was like a long-lost friend.

If the crowd was not already hyped, that surely riled them up.

We also can’t talk about his set without touching on his showmanship. He punctuated his performance with some groovy dance moves, like an iconic dance break from Don’t Go Insane (2023).

As a treat for those present at the show, he also performed an unreleased track from his upcoming album, titled I AM Nobody. While he did not give a definitive release date, he teased that the album will be out next year.
