MINATORE - Content
Lp, 2023
Grunge pop Records
Grunge - punk - hard rock

LIVE @ Stuck On A Name Studios Nottingham MINATORE ARE: Morgan Pettigrew - Drums Tommy Keeling - Guitars / Throat Sound Recorded by Boulty Cameras by Brody Cohen Hill
English Version
(i try)
Life that bursts into music and music that screams at life.*
This can be heard, or rather felt, in the rawness of the guitar and in the aggressive flair of the drums.
And in the voice, hoarse like the latent discomfort, borderline one could say, which she tries to describe with the perspective of the glass half full of comfort.
With the traits and nuances of rock from the 70s onwards. Revisited, updated, they smell like high quality bootlegs(in the sense of recording, not clandestinity), an aspect that magnifies their expressive power.
I've been following the guys from Nottingham for some time now, and I have to say that it was time well spent and the impatient wait for the album was rewarded by a prodigious debut. Content is the evolutionary manifesto of a movement (grunge) which, far from being finished, claims its own greatness.
*Now you might be thinking that this is what music, rock in particular, does. True, but that (apparently) small distinction between listening and feeling makes all the difference in the world.

I thought he had traded his ping pong for pool, but it looks like an air-hockey table, anyway, those details are the best

It also reminds me of the fact that Peter officially plays guitar and drums, I know I've posted about this before, but I'm not willing to forget that fact any time soon.🫠

So since me and @banana-zim had our first gig for our band recently, I decided to be a little self indulgent with drawing. Here's Zim and Dib jamming out on stage.
and of course dib needs to dress like trent reznor there is no other option what a loser he wraps his arms in electrical tape

Alternate Deep Cut in the studio. Drum, guitar, keyboard splatfest! It reminds me of the school band room with all the instruments around. Band people are cool.

"Love, love, love, la la love. La La Love, makes the world goes 'round."
"You can't hurt me with things that you do, I'll pick up dandelions and give them to you."
"Puppy dogs, kitty cats swimming in love."
It is all fun and games for Bubbles and Buttercup, but Blossom's perfectionism is shredding on that guitar as hard as I shredded on my Wacom.
I literally just learned what Blossom was singing a few days ago. When I was little, I asked me elder siblings, I asked my parents, I even sent a letter to UBC (Now TrueVision), the company responsible for broadcasting Cartoon Network in Thailand, they played the song on-air a few times before the host said she has no idea.
You kids and your Internet today.
It's normal for old Thai cartoon to leave the song in its original language. I might be biased because of my familiarity, but I prefer it that way.
...
You are telling me The Malaysians has their own dub, but Thais doesn't?
At first, it was meant to be a set of 3 puzzle-pieces keychain design, 3-part heart join together. However, I realized that Bubbles's drum kit is huge. So, I moved her to the top of the heart, and space her sisters far away, but that just looks wrong. I think it can be done for everything except the band.
It is also inspired by the 2016 intro sequence texture, yes, I don't hate it. The original concept leans on more heavily on gray scales to make the girls' colour pops out, but that just seems wrong, considering what this episode was about.

The »The End« guitar solos or "how to subtly show your love by playing guitar together, when talking about problems is apparently not a possibility" Quotes by Geoff Emerick, sound engineer and record producer: 'I know!' he (John) said mischievously, unwilling to let it go. 'Why don't we all play the solo? We can take turns and trade licks.' Long guitar solos with dueling lead guitarists were becoming the vogue at the time, so it was a suggestion that clearly had merit. George (Martin) looked dubious, but Paul not only embraced the idea but upped the ante further still: 'Better yet,' he said, 'why don't all three of us play it live?' Lennon loved the idea – for the first time in weeks I saw a real gleam in his eye. It didn't take long for John's enthusiasm to rub off on George Harrison, who finally got into the spirit of things. John, Paul and George looked like they had gone back in time, like they were kids again, playing together for the sheer enjoyment of it. More than anything, they reminded me of gunslingers, with their guitars strapped on, looks of steely-eyed resolve, determined to outdo one another. Yet there was no animosity, no tension at all – you could tell they were simply having fun. The order was Paul first, then George, then John, and they went back and forth. They ran down their ideas a few times and before you knew it, they were ready to go. Their amps were lined up together and we recorded their parts on one track. You could really see the joy in their faces as they played; it was like they were teenagers again. One take was all we needed. The musical telepathy between them was mind-boggling. Incredibly, after just a brief period of rehearsal, they nailed it in a single take. When it was over, there was no backslapping or hugging – The Beatles rarely expressed themselves physically like that – but there were lots of broad grins. I guess there's also the possibility that, as they were performing the solo, they realized they might never get to play together again; perhaps they were viewing that moment as a poignant farewell. It was the first time in a long time that the three of them were actually playing together in the studio.
